Hello Beautiful Utah!
Wyoming was gorgeous 😍. Utah is just as gorgeous. The West is blessed with spectacular nature.
Utah is spectacular everywhere-it just keeps giving & giving!
No, taking and taking. Taxes are ridiculous!
that flat open space can be a real terror in the winter months with some real winds to move you around you traveled about the best time
I drove up thru here but coming the other way from Utah into Wyoming. Knew it was going to be scenic but I am already planning to go back next year.
Ok checking it out with Russ
Thank you for taking the time to video this. I was in a Freightliner FL70 with a 40 ft gooseneck flatbed trailer and had to go that way all the way down to Roosevelt, at night, foggy and sleeting a little bit....smh...my first and only time I ever been through there. Now I see exactly what I missed..sad face, Anyway thank you, Now I have to get back to see it in the daylight.
We Love RVerTV - BestTV On RUclips. Thank you Russ.
It's beautiful.
FYI, John Wesley Powell started his historic trip through the Grand Canyon just north of there at Green River, Wyoming, on May 24, 1869... shortly before Russ graduated from elementary school! 🤣. So, I guess that means that the Green River joins with the Colorado downstream, and it happens near a little town called Moab. You've heard of that town, haven't you?
Ya thr river runs down thru a small town green river Utah and then meets the Colorado River below moab. I have took a jet boat there a few times years ago
Every Other Day or So I wait With Great Anticipation for Yet Another Great Adventure & Video of ALL The Awesome, Majestic Places You Visit & Share with us, Thanks Russ ~Laurie Ann
Very cool Russ 😎
We just left their couple wks ago. Stayed in flaming gorge at deer run campgrounds came from Moad went to Tetons. Them switch backs are scary. We went all the way down to river where they rafted. Its awesome.
After leaving Arizona this last winter we went to Flaming Gorge, what a beautiful area for sure, then onward to Rock Springs where my daughter lives, thanks again Russ for another fantastic video and the memories we had
My son is an avid fisherman! He wants to fish there , said KOKANEE fishing is some of the best in the country thanks Russ
Thank you Russ, these are places I would never be able to visit. When you stop to read a story board or go into a visitor's center or a small museum, it is silly but I sometimes feel as though I'm there also. I appreciate the time and effort you put in to your videos.
That was cool. Like you said, who knew. Would have been fun to boat on.
Have a good one. Thanks.
just to let you know how much i enjoy your journeys ,im in ireland and will never see america but your utube channel gives me a virtual trip ever day, great for you to do something like this hope you enjoy it too, love it !
Wow! What a trip going over the first bridge, but then you went over the side!! My stomach went in my throat!! Wow! Wow! Wow! How beautiful this great country is......We are so blessed to live here!! Stay safe!!
Going there’ today ❤
Absolutely my favorite channel. You take us to amazing places that we can’t visit at this time. Thank you!
Awk! Russ, don't lean over, it makes my knees weak! Beautiful scenery. Thanks for taking us along. 😊
You do such a great job. Thank you and hope to meet u in Quartzite . It's a pleasure following your travels. I enjoyed your Cherokee North Carolina commentary. Safe travels.
Awesome Trip! Thank you ! If is a trip once in a life time and some times even less!😊 No chance and no time to see such beautiful combination of the Nature and the power of people who built this gorgeous UNIC " monument" !!!👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This was really nice to see. That fish was huge. I enjoyed seeing the other side of the Dam.
Russ, your voice reminds me of beloved Cardinals broadcaster Mike Shannon. This is an amazing journey and you did a wonderful job showing the Reservoir.
Definitely a baseball announcer, lol.
What a beautiful place..... Never been there, yet!
Visited this place July 2020....the south side of the gorge is so much more scenic.
Many world record lake trout have come out of Flaming Gorge. Been there many, many times. You know what the lake trout said when he bumped his head? " Dam"
We took that same drive on the date you posted this video. So we were right behind you.
I feel like I am falling. Haha.
Thanks for visiting Utah. Lived here for 48 years AND we were driving on I-6 coming back from New Mexico. Think we just missed you. We came home on Friday! I did notice white van in Moab with a family traveling. Looked like they fixed their van up like you did for their family. We live in Payson Utah. Wave if you come by this way next year!
Oh yes and Green River flows into the Colorado at Canyonlands National Park a couple hundred miles south of Flaming Gorge.
Hi Russ, I was at Canyonlands a few years ago and found out the Green River empties into the Colorado River there. I may have got a picture of it. Canyonlands is beautiful too. Thanks for the ride.
Wyomians (?) are tough, wide open space !
Wyominite.....is what we prefer 🤠🐎
Great video as always....! Loved the Dam......
Another one:) Absolutely beautiful
Made that same trip about 20 years ago, stopped at the dam but didn't cross the catwalk.
Thank you for your video. I just painted this from a photo a buddy took. I wanted to learn more about it. This was a great video.
Gorgeous
Glad to see the beautiful view and blue sky. Cloudy overcast up here for weeks in western Washington. Looking forward to getting back to AZ soon.
Enjoyed the ride along! We drove that same route back in September 2019.
I'm from here! 3:22 Minnie's Gap -- frequented by Butch Cassidy and the gateway to Brown's Hole. 4:25 Dutch John Gap. Many Indian petroglyphs in this vicinity. 6:00 devastation of the Mustang Ridge fire, 2003. 6:15 town of Dutch John. Built by US Govt to build the dam, town has recently been privatized. 23:35 Cart Creek Bridge
Russ if I had my choice between Arizona Utah and Wyoming I would most definitely choose that beautiful state of Arizona. This coming from a native Montanan. YAY
Just an old fan of your channel Russ, I'm enjoying every vedio looking forward to next stop. By the way my nephew lives in Vernal UT. Say Hi Donovan. LoL
Hi Donovan
That truly would be the spot to have a houseboat. Great video! 😊👍👍
Stormy weather coming your way snow possible stay safe
Afraid of heights here...doing the Sam Kinison yell. But seriously, this is wonderful. You are taking us all to places I never knew existed. Thank you so much!!
Thanks !
BEAUTIFUL WOW!!!!? 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
With Lake Mead and Powell so low am surprised Flaming Gorge level - wonder if kinda a reserve they're holding. Green confluence with Colorado is in Canyon Lands NP
Hey we were just out there today!! Going to Salt Lake City tomorrow and south towards your neck of the woods!! Stopping in Ft Mohave and Oatman too! Love it in God’s country!❤️
Awesome.
Drove this route this past august on the way to vernal, ut. Very beautiful drive!
I just did that drive two weeks ago heading north. One of the best drives I have taken.
Great video, thank you for sharing
You're right....it's hard to beat Utah. I've been to Zion and Moab but plenty more to see. Getting a puppy golden retriever in a couple of weeks so can't go anytime soon but going to try about this time next year.
What a spectacular place! Would have been a good place for a drone view. Probably not allowed, huh.
Awesome video. Feel totally entertained. Great job, on this and all your videos.
Wow!....
The Confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers is in Canyonlands National Park.
wow nice dam.
Thanks Russ 👍 the freedom of the road is the glue that holds the universe together, hope you have many more years of freedom 😎
That was nice,thanks
Fishing is kind of a big deal at the Gorge and down on the river. You can meet fisherman from all over the world up there, but shhhhh, don’t tell anyone! Enjoy the ride over to Vernal, and check out the dinosaur museum. Vernal is kind of a cool little town. Got my first son there in Vernal!!!!
When I was a boy we went to Flaming Gorge quite a bit. We saw antelope, prairie dogs, saw other wild life.. We fished and caught some big trout. We launched model rockets and shot at targets with our 22's. Its where our family built some great memories.
This was thoroughly enjoyable Russ👍Keep on keepin on my friend🌟
If you haven't already found it, the Green River and the Colorado River do merge in Utah not too far from Moab. It is the most amazing sight I have ever seen
Spectacular footage Russ👍🏻
I grew up in Rock Springs Wy, we used to drive down to the dam all the time. We had all access to the inside of it, self guided tours..... Could walk across it anytime we wanted.... 911 messed that up for everyone.....
Awesome Russ!!!
Hey Russ!!! Even with "HAZE" CAMERAS doing "GREAT" Job!!! Be Safe!!!
I just love your videos! I sure wish I could travel and do what you're doing. Maybe someday! :)
Gorgeous area. I think they quit giving tours of the dams after 2011. We went on a tour years of ago of the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington state.
Meant to type 9/11.....
Looks like Puma country there in Utah. Probably a lot of those around. Better be careful when hiking. Beautiful scenery.
Judging by the striations in that rock 20:00 it appears that's an I deal spot for that dam. The upward tilt pretty much keys that thing to the canyon walls. Betcha it's one of the strongest dams in the world!
Yep, you need to go back to Wyoming and find more of those scenic byways. Wyoming is such a beautiful state. Thanks for taking us on a pretty good road trip.
Ugh....you drove right past some of the best waterfront boondocking in the country! Jug Hollow Rd....free camping, right on the water.
I’ve camped there several times, there are several National Forest campgrounds along the lake
Almost home😀
The confluence of the Green and the Colorado rivers occurs in the Grand Canyon.
It seems the roads go on forever. Nice scenery.
Russ, Love this adventure... Love the water.... That's why I live in Bullhead City :)
We were there at the Flaming Gorge visitor center in April 2021 it was closed for Covid but still a beautiful area!
Amazing russ yeiiiiiii
Thanks again Russ! Added to our bucket list!
Great video.
Lucky to have this in my backyard ❤
I did this route through Flaming Gorge back in 2019 after going to the Sturgis motorcycle rally. It is breathtaking. Go back up the west side of the Gorge back into Wyoming for some more scenery!
Found your channel recently and I enjoy riding along. Thankyou
Hello Russ.....Hope to see you in Quartzsite at Kurt and Kendra's. I ride the Harley 3 wheeler.
Utah truly is a scenic state. Sounds like you're headed for the Vernal/Dinosaur National Monument area, Russ. Watch out for the hamburgers-on-the-hoof roaming about in that open-range area.
Extraordinarily beautiful ♥️ Wyoming nice 👍 adventure 🦋☘️🌞 enjoying fr jamaica 😎🌅🏖️
In the Canyon Lands NP you can see where the two rivers come together.
Stay safe Russ.🗽👍💕
I used to live in Greybull Wyoming (about an hour or so from Cody) and to this day is one of my favorite states I’ve been through the flaming gorge many times heading down into Utah and very beautiful drive . Keep it up Russ your doing a very good job and that’s the truth :)
Thank you for documenting your travels.... this is really wonderful to jot down the places to visit on my bucket list. Appreciate you, Russ. Safe travels.
is the haze from wildfires
Hi again from NSW Australia. I regard these videos, the second best thing to being there. Well done Russ.
That arch bridge is very similar to the one at Hite, which, if I remember correctly, crosses the Colorado River
Thank you for taking me along, I'm putting Flaming Gorge on my list.
I have a van too, isn't nice to set a little higher for the view?
