My wife and I just sold our 375 acres and homes in Florida, and everything else we had,we bought a 45 ft 5 th wheel camper and dually truck,we are going to travel to Wyoming, Montana the Dakota's and finally end up on the 25 acres we bought in Alaska,it's been my life long dream to just travel and enjoy this land,I spent 16 years in the USMC MARSOC RAIDER'S 9 of that was in Iraq and Afghanistan,I'm only 43 and my wife is 34 , there's two ways to live your life either working every day and just existing or you can live by doing things you enjoy, and my enjoyment is seeing new places and I've always wanted to mine for gold,I don't care if I only find one little flake all this will be worth it,

On our vacation, my wife and I drove through Wyoming and loved it. We drove through Yellowstone N. P. Saw the Grand Tetons, spent the night in Cody. and then drove to Devils Tower. It is a beautiful state. If it wasn't for the snow and the cold weather I would move there.

Im from AL. I have wanted to live in Wyoming since i saw Auburn beat them in football back in 2000. That game got me curious about the state, and ive been in love with it ever since.
I'm from Opelika, which I'm sure you're familiar with, and I went to Yellowstone National Park to work for the summer in 1978. When I arrived at Old Faithful (I had a contract to work at the OF Inn) I met a young lady from Foley (near Mobile) who was going to the company HQ in Gardiner, Montana and she offered me a ride. She became the first true love of my life. We went to AU together, her in Zoology, myself in Electrical Engineering. That was a good game... My Grandfather would have been pleased.
Check the weather before heading off the main roads this time of year and carry a 2 day survival kit with blankets in your trunk! Weather can change in an instant in Wyoming!

4:31 is actually Wind River canyon near Thermopolis and not Bighorn Canyon. Definitely worth a drive through if visiting the hot springs.
It looks a lot like big horn canyon, just outside of lovell. Up by the reservation and the Pryors. Like they said, there's wild horses there too.

Yellowstone and Grand Teton are beautiful, but crowded like Walmart on a Saturday afternoon (I cut my visit short because of the crowds.
