Russ, just want to tell you how very much I enjoy all of your videos.I am the old lady truck driver, now I get to see all the things I just saw through a windshield. I am old now, 83, always thought I would go back to see all of those things. Old age takes it toll. I love your enthusiasm and inquiring mind. Love the small town museums. You went through my home area, Weirton WV and Steubenville OH. I was told a long time ago that I "was like a goose, I wake up in a new world every day" I am still like that and I think you are too. Keep on trucking and I will be right along with you. Thanks again!
Cameron. Last stop before heading into The Grand Canyon coming from Page. Very Historical Native American Trading Post in Navajo Nation. I stayed at The Hotel there. Absolute Gem of An Establishment. The Rooms and Service were Immaculate. The Restaurant was Other Wordly. Only way to describe it. Recommendation. Get The Steak. The size of Your Head.
That’s great advice, I’m thinking of stopping just to out in the desert and experience true darkness under the stars. Ps I’ll try the steak too. Cheers.
This trip was Definately a trip down memory lane! Aug, 1967, was on a family vacation through Indian Country (Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Mesa Verde, Navajo and Hopi Reservations). One of our stops was the Dinosaur Tracks. In '67, the place consisted only of a little red square on the Rand-McNally and a small signpost on the side of the road. Memory says we were one of a half dozen carloads tramping all over the desert in search of tracks. We did see some, but a guide would have been nice. 😉 Enjoyed the visit.
When I was a kid my grand parents took myself and my older brother all over the western and northwestern states. This brings back old memories that I love so much. Now I'm 63 my brother is 65 I thank you very much, I wish I could do what you do. Thank you sir. , keep it up. Your friend in Tulsa Oklahoma.
That's Bring Back me memories on this awsome highway from Page to Monument Valley to Flagstaff .. in March 2020 just before the covid crisis began seriously to affect western US . Can't wait to back here asap ! Thank you Russ and keep safe !
We sure have a beautiful country don’t we. 😎 While others are spinning their heads listening to negative news look at what your doing and staying focused on 👍 Thanks for reminding those of the positive things in life. 😎
Awesome ride bus Arizona is so beautiful and just think I live next door in San Bernardino California I've been missing all this beauty all this year's got to visit Arizona thank you
We camped at the campground at Lee's Ferry back in 2019. Awesome place. My wife particularly liked looking at the canyon walls in the full moon. Even at night the colors are great. Thank you Russ.
👍👍 Thanks Russ. When you stop by Cameron Trading Post next time, there is an restaurant. They got the best Navajo Taco. You gotta try some. Make sure to ask for some Sour cream.
I remember Hwy 89 very well. Lost car fob at Lake Powell. Car had to be towed on a flatbed truck to a dealership in Flagstaff. Enjoyed the view riding in the car on the flatbed. Next day I rented a car and drove to Page to pick up my friend who stayed back. We toured around Page then started the drive back to Flagstaff. It was turning dark, the gas tank was near empty, and my anxiety level was at an all time high. Thank goodness for the gas station in Gap -- it was my savior!
I was idly scrolling through You Tube, abd suddenly saw a familiar sight! I live in the UK, but we had a super holiday in 2009, in SW USA, visiting plces like Monument Valley, White Sands, Grand Canyon and many others. We stopped in the coach at Cameron and I had a look at the Trading Post, and the old Tanners Crossing bridge. Brought back memories. Cameron looks much more built up now. Many thanks, emjoying many of your trips in the van
Wow Russ! The Fossils were very distinct! I thought about what she said about distinct they are when it rains and how brights green they get’. They are mightier green they are! Great!😀🚙🇺🇸
Nice to see your face! :) And Wow wee Wow Wow!!! So cool!! I'm here in hot-humid Florida, wishing it was 76degrees!! The mountains are so amazing and the dinosaur place I never knew excited....I keep getting educated, never to old to learn!! Stay safe....
Traveled 89 s.-20 years ago on 2 wheels. Was sleeting on me in Zion Natl. Pk. Ended up in Benson-86°for 4 days to warm up. Then back to n.e. Ohio. Brings back wonderful memories. 👍👍🙋♂️
I'm so glad we are looking down at the footprints left behind, & not up at a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex. Sure is a beautiful picture postcard perfect day! Love the colors in the Rocky mountains, various shares of browns to various shades of reds with the blue sky in the background.
Hi Russ, you’re killing me! I love and adore Arizona and I miss it so very much. I hope to be back in late May for two weeks road tripping. My head is utterly filled and quite dizzy with wanderlust. I hope all the Fates conspire to let us travel back and tick off some of these stunning places. Thanks for sharing and helping me to stay calm, a little, and most certainly breathe easier. 🇺🇸🌵🏴
Can't believe that visitor can walk over Dinosaur's footprint. This place should be marked to point when my next visit. And I can't forget Vermilion Cliffs load trip to North Rim. Thanks Russ.
Russ mate your vlogs are awesome, the amount of ideas I have from them will make our next trip great. Looking forward to getting back to your amazing country as hopefully Australians will be able to travel overseas by the start of 2022.
I had a dear friend who was traveling back to Utah from Dallas when she and her family all died in a head on collision. The town was Page. The view in Arizona is amazing! Be safe!
There is a lot to see in that area. Horseshoe Bend is a bit of a hike, but the view is breathtakingly beautiful. Along 89A towards Jacob Lake is a little spot with Adobe buildings and cool rock formations. Definitely worth checking out
Hey Russ, just a clarification. Flagstaff's elevation is only 6,900 ft. The San Francisco Peaks include Humphreys Peak, the highest point in the state of Arizona at 12,633 ft above sea level.
This was such a good show! They all are, because you have serious skills with camera, drone etc. Hubby and I will be driving that way in one week, on our way 'south' for the winter. We're excited to see the dinosaur tracks and the canyon near Page. Thanks much.
Well remember your 2020 Virtual Vacation Tour, Russ. Kept the majority of your subscribers from going nuts (due to Wuhan-coronavirus house arrest), and the remainder (including me) from going nutier than we already are. 6:38 Copper-stopper on the right. Those dinosaur fossils and footprints were really cool, thanks for stopping, Russ. If I remember correctly, the moment you topped Antelope Pass the vegitation/terrain changed quite dramatically. Maybe we'll see it at the start of the next video. Safe travels.
Thanks for the great video. It brought me back to the first time I went that way to the North Rim onvce you got past the 160 jct. I been traveling that stretch of 89 in Northern AZ since it was a tiny 2 lane w/o shoulders. I didn’t know they added a roundabout their at Cameron. There used to be a similar bridge across the Colorado on UT 128, Dewey Bridge. I drove my 76 T-bird across it and the bridge swayed from its weight. That bridge looked the same but had a wooden deck and was smaller. I last rode by bicycle across it after it was replaced by a modern bridge. Unfortunately, Dewey bridge burned down a while ago.
Hi Russ, great video as always. You know what I'd like to see from you, a Travel Guide book (or e-book). All the places you've been are incredible and I'm sure a lot of us would like to plan our trips according to your travels. You could include a few photos from each video and some personal comments about the place. Whenever I travel West (Philly born and bred), I try to look at as many of your videos as I can to get ideas. Love to see them condensed in one place. The revenue could help you fund your future trips! Thanks, John
You can Load RVerTV on your Roku device and your phone and Ina sense take all of Russ's videos with u as you travel. I am only suggesting this and not trying to be a know it all. I enjoy taking Russ along and not forgetting his travels.
Hi Russ. Absolutely beautiful drive. Loved the dinosaur tracks. We have some great ones just south of Fort Worth in a little town call Glenrose. They are huge Brontosaurus tracks! Take care. 🙏🏼❣️♥️❣️🙏🏼
Have not been out that way since the 1980s. You are making me homesick for the desert! Can't believe how built up everything is now. (WIih the notable exception of the dinosaur place - which I have never heard of or seen. Does the Flintstones place on 64 still exist?
THE FIRST TIME I WENT THROUGH CAMERON THERE WAS NOTHING BUT THE RESTAURANT AND TRADING POST. THE LAST TIME IT WAS ALL UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND I COULD BARELY FIND MY WAY THROUGH. THERE MAY BE SOMETHING TO BE SAID FOR PROGRESS BUT I LIKED THE OLD DAYS BETTER
Interesting run today, sad you didn’t go thru Williams, love that town. Dinosaur feet were amazing, how the hell someone found them out there. Thanks 👍👍
It figures that Gap, AZ has a Sinclair gas station, with their dinosaur logo. Hehe. It's nice to get back to your normal videos (and not an advertisement one. :) )
I wouldn't say I've been everywhere, but I've been a lot of places. The most beautiful place I've ever seen is the Alps...but I put the Flagstaff area second. The weather in Flagstaff in the summer is perfect...well what we southerners would consider perfect weather.
Your videos are always great and informative. I enjoy seeing the places you go and the scenery. Wondering if BLM properties are up in the area "we" are traveling for boondocking? Thanks for allowing us to tag along.
Russ.....yes, you took this route 89 last summer to Paige. That was when I found your channel and you took all of us on a journey during the middle of the pandemic. You gave those of us who were working from home an escape. That summer road trip you took was great! We all enjoyed it! I know I did! Keep up the travel and sharing with us!
Thanks for all your videos. I have traveled many places you have by motorcycle. You have pointed out some things I have missed. I really liked Northern Arizona in the pines.

Thanks Russ. I'm too old to do this anymore so I can still get out there on the road with you.

You have a really nice dash-cam filming style...really allows a view through our windshield as the miles pass...thanks
40 West from Flagstaff. I call that stretch of road 300 mile hill.
That sure was a good day for a drive. Doesn't get much better. Such great scenery. Ty. 😊👍

Muy bonito paisaje nice looking forward to going to see that same day 👍🏻
Thank you for all your great videos of this beautiful country. I so much long to see it in person one day.
Beautiful video and history. Reminds me of the beautiful Montana skies without and jet trails, back in the 80’s.
This day the contrasting colors with the sky and landscape were surreal. Dinosaur prints were fun to see. I love going to Best buy. 😂
O my gosh I love Arizona 🌵 Thanks for keeping active in the “winter” by these short trips
More to come!
Amazing scenery! Thank you!
Wow Russ! The Fossils were very distinct! I thought about what she said about distinct they are when it rains and how brights green they get’. They are mightier green they are! Great!😀🚙🇺🇸
