Definitely loved this style of video. Don't get me wrong, your last video over on Film Booth was a work of art, but I liked this slowed down version better! This is coming from someone who doesn't need a lot of chaos to stay focused on a video. I felt like I could really pay attention to what you were saying, instead of just focusing on your editing and being blown away by it! This was still beautifully edited btw. Brilliant job Ed. Can't wait to see more videos here!
Totally get you, FIlm Booth was always about showing rather than telling, this will still take on "show dont tell" but in a way thats way more stripped back

Noticed you just said about using a telepromter, I've always read from a script the stories are too complex but whats been a game changer for me recently is just printing it off and having it next to me, its actually in the video, it doesn't even matter
I get the point. I have deleted my most viewed video to be more focused and niched with my content after watching one of your video on the other channel. I must say since that all my videos are better in quality and value and this is giving more consistent view to the channel.

I do have a criticism of Thomas' strategy. By not posting any new videos to his main channel anymore, he's communicating that he's willing to abandon his audience for whatever's hot right now. Notion is cool, but it's only been popular for the past couple of years. What happens when a new hot tool comes out? Will Thomas abandon his Notion channel and start a new one for the new tool? This communicates that he's not creating videos for his audience, rather, he's chasing the money, and this undermines trust.

What tips would you have for someone that wants to do notion templates, but the audience doesn't necessarily know what Notion is. I think the templates would be very helpful for them, but there's also the barrier of teaching them what Notion is.

Would love to hear why you created 2 channels (Film Booth and Creator Booth) when they seem like Film Booth could easily harbor content like this video in it. I'm sure you're doing something strategic here, but I thought the idea was to only create new channels if the content was wildly different?
The video called "why I stared a new channel" talks about it. The new channel will go much further away from what is right for my other audience, this is just the start but over time it will develop.

On my channel I do shifts to find what I would like to do. The only reason I can do that is because I have focused my channel on strictly RUclips/Google Search only.
Weirdly this was very eye opening. For some reason I always separated my passion for making youtube videos and my career. This video got me thinking, I actually have quite of bit of experience in my professional career as a tech product manager that can be translated to practical ways that helps others just starting out or finding themselves lost after a couple of years. Thank you, Ed. Now I need to think about making a new channel for this type of stuff 😅

Extremely helpful points. I started to grow my email list and it is going well
But making a digital product that is not a course requires some skills akin to programming, even though you are not programming you are still building for example templates that are very technical and require a lot of logic thinking efforts. As a documentary vlogger, it's not really the quite of skills you develop. I would really like to know what kind of digital product you could sell as a documentary vlogger on RUclips.
OK, Make sense for what he has done. But how about if your channel is not so niched down? I think people misunderstood this point because that gets in trouble with those( who starting a youtube channel) who want to bring 1-3 topics on the same channel and make it for a specific portrait ( ex: males 25-35 do gym and real estate ) ..that is their audience, and this audience will go into their funnel and will buy what they will offer if done correctly from a marketing pov.
What's your opinion on that?
I have been thinking about creating another channel but what I do is not as common so I'm trying to think of a clever way I can deliver funny yet I formational videos about me an what I do an what I create 😅
