Awesome video as always. I am small RUclipsr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I haven't used a lot of Famester, I would have quit a long time ago. It was a proper game-changer for me).

This is exactly how my RUclips journey has played out. I can’t take much credit for all of this. Luckily, my educational training (physical therapist) allowed me to niche down very quickly (solving pain and injury problems) and create content that only addressed these types of problems. Focusing on one specialty area and solving a specific problem for other people is a great piece of advice for anyone looking to build a brand and following. Thanks for the video!
I literally restarted my channel after four years because I really didn't understand how imporatant nicheing down was in the beginnng. I am starting from the beginning with a new channel, and while it's scary to do so, after watching this video I am positive it's the best choice I ever made.
This is exactly why after 4 years of failure, I niched down and rebranded a few days ago. I am confident it was the right move.

It’s hard to create niche content when you know it will get less views. Even though it a strategy it’s hard to see 9/10s.
But some of my worst performing videos have generate the best leads for my business.
I’m a financial adviser, and my RUclips channel is incredible for generating leads BUT only 2% of my audience want or can afford financial advice. Ultimately people come to RUclips to learn to DIY.
The next step is obvious, and my audience is calling out for it. But it’s taking me forever to build a course. It’s like writing a book!

this is yet another of your videos that sums up my youtube journey to a tee. im the red jellybean, and sometimes it gets frustrating not seeing much growth on my youtube channel as i feel its too specific - however, using youtube as the vehicle to drive traffic to my other services and offers/products and actually make sales has been literally life changing. the numbers dont even sound real.
ironically i still have your "the proven 90 day system for explosive RUclips growth" page open on my phone. id be curious on your thoughts on YT growth on my channel. when thinking about my YT growth im still torn between being too specific, or just sucking at youtube 🤣. I paid $15,000 for a coaching program for other aspects of my business and it was probably the best money I ever spent. Even still all of the traffic comes from youtube so I can only imagine the potential if I could figure out how to grow that at a faster rate. 🤷♂

Thank you, excellent video and, as a family reunion photography business owner, I can attest to serving a specific niche of people is the way to go. As far as making videos. I know I need to, I’m a former radio personality so I know I can, I’m just nearly 60 years old now and even though I’ve encourages a ton of older people to get in front of the camera, I’m finding it impossible to take my own advice… but this video may have finally made me realize that it’s ok to not have to be super polished. It’s the information that matters. I need to start a new channel though. I’ve got everything I need, just not the guts. I’m not even sure it’s my nearly 60 year old face, the bullies online, goodness. Who needs that? I’ll try to focus more on the people I serve needing the information. 🤞

Ed, this video is incredible. The idea, the structure, the storytelling, the editing, all of it is bang on.
To be honest it's exactly what I need right now because I teach English to Vietnamese people, which is not super niche as there are 100 million people here, but niche enough to not get a lot of revenue solely from views (RPM is also lower in Vietnam). Because of that I've been thinking of a way to productize, and this video just affirms what I've been thinking. Views can be low, but if I have a product, I really think it'll boom.

I think the same may be true about some business and life lessons. I hear you convey variations of the same lessons over and over-in new and interesting ways-and I sit here nodding my head in agreement and emphatically not applying them.

Such a great video !!! I am a small youtuber as well as a eye doctor. I wanted to explore youtube for the longest time but found it difficult to niche down...........should I make videos for other doctors? Should I make content for medical students or should I try to simplify eye disease for the masses. I finally started my journey on youtube keeping the general population in mind as I felt I could add most value for them !!!
Now hopefully that decision proves to be the right one !! Learning and growing each day !!

Many creators end up with mental health issues as a result of it so they have to avoid the comment.
The truth is the fastest you grow the more of the wrong audience you attract and the comments can become a real motivation killer

Great video - its the exact formula I'm working towards. It been successful in the past with my face to face business too. I simply offer the best value for money and go the extra mile. My channel is growing steadily and I'm getting a loyal fan base too. My key take away from this is consistency. Always being the go to person for a challenge - There now you can make an new acronym like CHILL Challenge, Help, Information, Love and .... Larger! Cheers 🍺🍺🍺

That’s what I’m doing too with all the 3 big fundamental pillars for me. However, what do you think about making yourself unique through skill stacking man? As my skills are in investing to make money, communicating with people to form stronger relationships and support with fitness, making money with crypto and making courses to help people with their issues in those 3 areas man to help others too.
What do you think about skill stacking like this as I feel it actually makes you equally as unique as if you were to just solve one problem like with helping people with their fashion sense like you said in the video.

Wow, I love how you explained the concept... But I've got some thoughts and questions:
Entertainment channels generally have a broad appeal, targeting anyone who might be feeling a bit bored. However, Mr. Beast effectively monetizes his channel with his brand.
Moving on, do you, as a creator, have a system for generating product ideas when you're just starting out? Your message on this channel is essentially 'create products for a specific niche,' but I've never watched a video where you outlined the process for creating those products. '32 passive income ideas making RUclipsrs rich' was the closest, but you didn't mention the process of creating the product itself.
Additionally, your insight on providing extra service is truly valuable. Could you create a video specifically addressing this topic? I mean, are there easier methods for delivering that extra value? I believe it's easier to provide the kind of extra service you mentioned when you're already an established creator who sells high-ticket products. In contrast, for someone like me who's just starting out and focusing on low-ticket items, it's more challenging.

Sometimes the RUclips algorithm is the best thing. I’d not heard of you or your channel before but the algorithm knows that I’ve been doing a deep dive into this type of content recently. I’ve been taking in a lot of advice and recommendations to help me decide whether I want to start a channel or not. As with most topics, there are a lot of conflicting opinions as to the best way to start (“don’t start with a niche for your first 50 videos” was the advice from a successful RUclipsr.) I’ve even taken in a few courses on SkillShare. I’m telling you this because of the many hours I’ve been watching over the last 2 to 3 weeks, this video has been the most helpful. And seriously, that is one truly memorable acronym! Needless to say, I just subscribed. I suspect binge watching past videos of yours will soon follow. One of my favourite pieces of business advice from Warren Buffet was (paraphrasing) - every day think about what you can do to surprise and delight your customers. That last S in your acronym hits that same resonating message.

I learnt that the bens system is very useful when making titles and thumbnails. Each letter in bens represents a rule in this system. b is for big, e is for easy, n is for new, and s is for safe. having a safe video is the most important out of them.
