Hi everyone! Thanks for listening to my poem! If it sounds familiar to you, it’s because it’s a re-upload. I wrote it in 2019 before my faith reversion and posted it last year. I see the world a bit differently now, but I still resonate with many themes that I brought up :). What I love about writing is that it concretely marks a phase in your life so you can look back on it one day and see how much you’ve developed since then. It’s basically a time capsule hahaha.
*Update on the contest:* I’m going to be posting the poems of the winners after I finish uploading my old content so that way their work is easily distinguishable from my own :). Thanks again for participating!

Every poem you write sounds like something that you'd hear at 2 am in the backyard with your friends. Even if you dont know whats happening, its amazing

Every poem you make I feel I relate so much with poems you. The part saying "I might get lost along the way " makes think of how lost I am this part of my life

each with their own goals and sorrows and a story that's scratching on the door of their cage to tell... that's actually what I have been noticing recently, we all think that is all about us, for example when somebody is being rude or mean to us, for no apparent reason, we literally don't know what is bothering their soul at that moment.. realizing this helps me be more compassionate and not take things so personally. At least I try my best, try my best to convince myself that is not always about me.

I get a terrible feeling that my dreams are useless. Reality never seems to match up.
But that's just it. An unfinished painting is brilliant because of what it could be. A finished one already is. And I'd take the unfinished one any day.
This seriously is describing my life perfectly right now
Listening to this poem is like seeing exactly where I am in life right now. I'll turn 21 later this year and... I don't know, those words struck me for some reason

Even though it is 2 years old you put a very bold and important intention in (your) the world, not to be someone else but yourself, telling you , it is hard to hang on to, but it is worth it.
I love her words I love her voice, how she speaks and relays the emotions of the words that she wrote. It's beautiful

Luna what made your way or what inspired you to write poetries?? You didn't answered this during the Q&A so I hope you'll answer this time.
I’ve always loved writing since I was very young. I started out writing songs because I was a huge Taylor Swift fan when she was rising up in 2008. Then I realized I can’t sing LOL. So naturally, my songs were renamed to be poems. :)

reminds me of my cousin's story...he got named after his grandfather's name...and his father has his greatgrandfather's name....and in his family there were since like 1500, my uncle is fond of Araldic and studying family lineage and stuff like that, he seen that there were those 2 names alternating from like 500 years...and my cousin, is like okay with their parents and grandperents as people per se, actually very bonded to them, but he went and changed his first name because he wanted to break this chain...he hated the thing of being his father's father's photocopy, in the mind of his parents, he just hated this concept...He's so dear to me and I really got his dualistic love for the people/hate of predetermined destiny so to speak...he just did not wanted any projection or expectation being cast on him...he just wanted to be...

Ever since I was little, I have always been passionate about writing and reading poems. I'm 21 now and finally got the courage to start a youtube channel where I could share my writings.
