03:41 *🥬 Initially, Victoria tried a vegan diet, believing in its health benefits, but experienced worsening symptoms, including muscle loss, anxiety attacks, sinus issues, and irregular cycles.*
08:14 *🥩 Transitioning to a carnivore diet was Victoria's last resort after trying various supplements, cleanses, and diets without success.*
11:26 *📊 Victoria's mother saw kidney function improvement after adopting the carnivore diet, despite initial concerns about oxalate dumping.*

44:40 *🩺 Patient symptoms and well-being should be prioritized over lab results when determining health conditions and treatment plans.*
48:23 *🍖 Humans are biologically adapted to thrive on a meat-based diet, which has sustained our species through various challenges throughout history.*
52:59 *🍔 Profit-driven agendas often prioritize selling medications and treatments over addressing dietary and lifestyle factors that contribute to health issues.*
56:23 *📚 Mainstream attention to alternative dietary approaches like carnivore diets is increasing, challenging conventional beliefs about nutrition and wellness.*
58:21 *🏛️ Consideration of legal action against food companies for their role in promoting unhealthy processed foods and profiting from resulting health issues is a potential avenue for advocacy and change.*

Victoria is so right. Even after 2yrs of Carnivore, my family still says "you mean no vegetables" or "not even a small piece of cake/pie/something sweat" during the holidays when I visit. My oldest daughter has thyroid issues, and I can't get her to go carnivore (she has thinning hair and just about everything Victoria mentioned), my daughter has however gotten rid of sugar, bread and quite a few processed items, just cannot prove carnivore is the way. My wife of 30 years has had hormone imbalance issues for as long as I can remember that she refuses to take meds for, but not willing to go carnivore (I have gotten her to remove quite a bit of process junk, just not all). I continue pushing (not forcing) to the misses, both sons and all three daughters, I always tell them to just look at me to see what carnivore has done for my health. Due to carnivore, I have lost 100lbs and no longer take any prescription meds and vastly improved to the point I no longer need a cane to walk (misdiagnosed for 3 days cerebellum stroke at 44).

It’s very hard to convince people because they have been told the wrong info for so long, it’s ingrained in them. When I first started Carnivore, only about 8 weeks ago, I had a hard time eating fat, even though it tastes so good. I’m eating it now and loving it! The government and the media are making us ill. If your family sees how well you are getting they will do it, but probably only if they get desperate enough and really need to heal.

Sometimes we just have to let go and allow each other to reap what we sow.

For 17 years I went to all kinds of doctors trying to find out what was wrong with me. I had so many seemingly unrelated, crazy, debilitating symptoms, but all I was diagnosed with was fibromyalgia. A friend of mine read a book called, ‘Thyroid Power,’ and told me to read it. She said she thought it was my thyroid. I read it, and went to my doctor and told her. She didn’t think so because my TSH was at the right level. I insisted, saying you haven’t made me well! So, reluctantly, she sent me to test my antibodies. Lo and behold, I had Hashimoto’s thyroiditis! When I think about losing so many years of my life when I had a diagnosable disease, it really makes me angry. Along the way, I developed many other autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, and other health problems, which I am now working on through the Carnivore Diet. I finally have hope that I can heal, at least to some extent.

I'm not in politics or law, but I'm working on a social work degree. I firmly believe this is a social justice issue. Everyone should have freedoms and access to the proper human diet, namely real animal meats. My advocacy effects will include increasing rights for farmers (not industrial) and better information and access to undeserved and impoverished individuals and families.
Without a medical degree, I rely heavily on quality research and doctors like Dr. Chaffee for the scientific backing.

@@lulumarie7 perfect, another great idea! Hopefully you can get more people to do the same! We need to public to know their option of food lifestyles and know the risks of eating a heavy plant based corrupt diet like SAD/ Western, Vegan, and vegetarian diets! Everyone needs to know health benefits of carnivore and for some low carb keto and ketovore - then let them choose as you said. The myth thay cholesterol being bad needs to end, the banning of vegetable oils needs to occur, warning labels on processed foods needs to happen, warning labels on plant produce needs to occur as well- such as natural plant toxins and health issues that could occur- ban labels grown “meats”, redo “health” guidelines and food pyramid. Outlaw woke left democrats from being members of “health” organizations and no more allowing plant food industry to buy into “health” organizations. Redo the medical curriculum so not designed by organizations like woke left 7th day Adventists! Ban schools from pushing the woke left democratic “no meat” and “vegan” days on humans under 18! In terms of kidneys, I struggled a lot with carnivore at the start because of high sodium and low magnesium, low potassium, I would get kidney pain and lipoedema due to my right kidney struggling after about a year in. I don't add salt to any of my meals and supplement magnesium and potassium now, there is salt in my butter and that is my only salt source, I never add. You get used to this btw, it's not as bad as it sounds.
If you have kidney issues I100% recommend being careful with salt, that is a huge stressor for my kidney.
Also, my kidney has gotten much better after I found my equilibrium on high fat (lots of butter) carnivore, and can handle more salt than it used to be able to!
Sometimes I get lipoedema when I eat carbs again, sometimes not, but I also get think there can be a little bit less stress on my kidney due to the hydration effect of carbs, it's a bit of a mixed bag.

Dr. Chaffee, you are saying what we put on our skin it's in our bloodstream in 20 minutes. Does it mean if we are using cosmetics that have seed oils in them, it's the same as if we would eat the seed oils? They will get in the blood and cause inflammation in the same way as when we eat them? What about Castor oil? If I use it on my skin, will I end up with the omega 6 fatty acids in my blood?
Now, if I'm fasting and use such cosmetics and their oils end up in my blood, does it mean it throws me out of my water fast? Thank you so much for clarifying.

Interesting and accurate observation by Dr Chaffee at the 12:30ish mark, when he talks about the solidification of doctor's thinking in and after med school. My last two, and current doctor are not terribly up to date with nutritian nor diets beyond the food pyramid. Took myself off of statins. I got on the carnivore diet to fight inflammation. It has helped a great deal with that. However I've lost weight, which isn't all bad, but too much of it has been muscle mass. My actual weight has never been a concern as long as I was active in sports. Muscle weighing more than fat, I want to reduce body fat now and not so much concerned with my weight. I'm 72 so reducing inflammation and having energy is important to me now. Also, I notice more flexibility having lost weight. need new belts and slacks !!! Ha!

Mad cow disease is NOT BS!
The cows where infected and when you eat the meat chances are you get it too. It has sometimes 40 years incubation period. Others get it very soon!
The Brirish government tried to hide it back in the days when the meat, cows where infected.
1 girl was vegan and ate 1 hamburger and got it! She got more and more anxiety and her eyes looked more and more scared. The doctor and father put her in the psychiatry and it got worse and worse, with medication until she died. The autopsy revealed in her brain Kreutzfelt Jakob syndrome aka mad cow disease.😢
So please, even if carnivore is healing, do not forget nature is unforgiving.
All kind of worms, parasites, fungi protozoa and so on can get you. They are everywhere, also on plants, crops, soil, meat, organs, etc.

I have a sister with bone cancer that has fallen into the false belief that fruit and veggies smoothies every morning will heal her cancer.

I've heard him mention Thomas Seyfried and his research for how a low carb diet can starve cancer cells because they can't feed on ketones.

I am yet to hear of anyone who has hyperthyroidism (particularly Graves Disease) and doing Carnivore. I hear so so much about Hypo/Hashie's and the positive results.

I have antibodies for both. Was diagnosed with Hashimotos 10 years ago but always had normal thyroid levels. Started carnivore a couple of years ago and within three months of it I was super hyperthyroid with a TSH of 0.01 and sky high T3. I had both high TPO and Trab antibodies and was given a diagnosis of Graves’ disease. I don’t do sugar or bread whatsoever and I have to be careful with iodine intake.

I started carnivore about 3 weeks ago. I have Hashimoto's and over the last year my blood sugar has been above normal. But even on carnivore, I have noticed that my blood sugar is high every morning. I was consuming Dairy but I am stopping that to see if that helps. Any recommendations?

That’s called the dawn phenomenon. Overtime you should start seeing the high blood sugar numbers come down. I put my father-in-law on the carnivore diet he WAS a T2D, and after a month his readings were 250, next week 240, then 230…now when he wakes up his readings are 120. Mind you he’s 73 and started out weighing 310 lbs, now he’s 250 lbs (6’4”) doesn’t take any meds anymore.

    Tpo is over 600
    Well, who knew.
I did felt crap for years. Last year went carnivore and soooo much better. If Tpo that high now then what the hell was it pre carnivore. No wonder I felt so absolutely bloody awful.

I've been carnivore for almost 3 months now. My thyroid is three times worse as well. I have no energy, and my TSH is at 10, which my normal is 1. Any suggestions?? I just don't know if I should add carbs in so I can function. PLEASE HELP!

***I also really like a supplement called Rhodiola. It helps with energy as well. Take it in at the beginning of the day.
There is also a thyroid supplement called Thyrovanz. It is cow thyroid. It sounds like if your doctor won’t prescribe thyroid meds for you, I would supplement myself. Google how to supplement yourself.
Many low thyroid people have a hard time pooping. If that’s you, look into getting a supplement call ox bile. Take it every time you eat. Start with the 125mg dose. If that doesn’t make a difference, take 250mg and so on until you’re seeing your bowels respond. You’ll know you’re taking too much if you get diarrhea. So just take your dose down a bit until you don’t get it.
One last thing, vitamins A, E, D, and K are critical for thyroid. I like Forefronthealth.com for those.
      Hope this helps you.

Unfortunately my thyroid numbers are not consistent as I still have one nodule left to get rid of. I'm also on a compound medication T3/T4. I started doing carnivore about a year ago. My diet consists of: one Carnivore Bar and pork rinds (for crunch) in the morning. Then in the evening I will have boiled eggs and either meat, poultry or fish for dinner. I will have dandelion root and ginger tea about an hour after dinner. I may have an uncured bacon stick and/or a few pork rinds as I oftentimes still feel hungry. I haven't been eating any carbs e.g. potatoes, vegetables or fruit. However, I did read that the thyroid does need carbs to function, so I bought some avocados the other day and had one last night. Obviously this really isn't necessary as Victoria has been getting good numbers with a strict carnivore diet. These days it can get pretty frustrating. I will try not eating pork rinds, avocado, uncured bacon and do without the teas. Hopefully doing a cleaner carnivore diet will finally bring about better numbers.

I feel like I’m trying to convince my doctor to take my hypothyroidism seriously, but now it seems she’s convincing me that I’m exaggerating.

It’s not the medical model to make ppl well other than for something small like a cut finger or a broken leg. The medical model is to give you a script & have you coming back for ever. Dr Mindy Pelz was talking abt an app Think Dirty where you can scan your beauty products & find out how clean or dirty they are. Dave Asprey was talking abt how women pick out a different mate when they’re on the pill vs not on the pill.
