Many people get the concept of forgiveness backwards in many ways. It takes having proper understanding of why forgiveness is a important and how effective it can be. I like his presentation and I’m glad he shared this message. We need leaders who can speak on things like that.
I think he underestimates the power of those who have a vested interest in the American penal system, what he is speaking about means a loss of profit to those particular people. They don't want to rehabilitate prisoners in the US, quite the opposite actually, otherwise the Government would have implemented something like this a long time ago.
