the beetle classic is also RWD. its rear engine - rear drive. Pretty slow still but, my family had one growing up, my grandfather handed it down to me as an heirloom keepsake and theres just something about it that's likeable. ofcourse growing up i never appreciated it since all my friends were into EVOs, STis and Type-Rs, I now regret never taking care of it.

Wow I did not expect to see my car at #1, you are right about the reliability. I’ve spent 6k in less than a year of owner ship. You will need specific softwares like inpa to code injectors and diagnose problems

As someone who scooped up a 5th gen prelude for cheap I always check lists like this and the prelude always ends up being on it 😂
Both the Volvo 240 and the Saab 900 were available with a turbo. although finding a Volvo 240 Turbo is difficult, at least here in Sweden. It was apparently the case that the turbo version cost twice as much as the GL version when it was new. Then there was also the Volvo 240 GLT

Great job man. In eu focus has volvo's inline5 i think. You also mantioned that in your's 50k video. Is it different motor in usa or u were mistaken?
Also, the first year SN95 was a 5.0. They did it one year then swapped the motor they came with.

The mark 3 supra has a 7m-ge or gte depending on the trim in the us. The 1jz was Japan exclusive

In the states the A70s got the damn 7M. I like mine. Found 2 for about 1109 bucks. One was pretty bad, the other I drove til I left for Japan. I shall be reunited with them this month.
I'm a bigger fan of the 99-03 Silverado. Like you said, wasn't a fan of the cat eye. I don't know why they call them that.

The Skyrim music goes hard, I can remember the days of me on my VR headset playing Skyrim (Skyrim vr is a thing and it’s great)
I actually have a ford ranger with the 4.0 v6, 4x4. And I love it.
Love that the Focus SVT was not mentioned. The baby Focus RS should stay under 5 grand forever.
German cars are pretty reliable imo. My family has almost always driven German cars and we never have issues. My dads last bmw was close to 520k miles before he decided to get a more spacious car for his job. Can’t really say the same with my sisters cars because they don’t take care of them well but they still work perfectly
When talking about the Mazdaspeed 3 you said that you havent seen any hatchback making that amount of power. Check Opel/Vauxhall Astra j OPC/VXR. Its a beauty also. Don't know if you got in in US though.
I own a ranger and can vouch. Mans his everything perfect. I can slide my stock 4x4 then go play out in the dirt and mud
I just got a 07 Subaru Impreza 2.5i, was thinking of a wrx but for a first car was kinda hoping for a little bit more reliability, learning manual has been fun, maybe later I’ll try to find a wrx.

The ek civic si are becoming hard to find what you’ll more commonly find is the DX trim which is the base model comes with a 1.6L SOHC non vtec engine but are still a lot of fun and much cheaper then the si. It was my first car and i loved it, still sad I sold it. Another amazing thing is that it’s so easy to work on, parts are cheap and you can do a lot with it including engine swaps
If you have 10k for budget I’d rather look for a RSX or eighth gen si, a lot better for daily driving although parts will be a little more expensive because it’s a newer car but it comes with the amazing k series engine
I do so happen to have a Civic DX, whats the potential when it comes to tuning and performance upgrades?
@@kraatek6132 so the dx came with the d16y7 engine, if you want vtec you can swap the y8 head from the ex models best bet for more power is boost the engine with stock internals it can handle around 8psi so around 150-200hp with built internals 300-400hp is a good range or if you want to go engine swap for a b series or k series it’ll cost more but those engines are a lot stronger and can typically handle more power
@@jaredrodriguez640 ill avoid the engine swap since i dont have a garage or the skills/tools to do that. Kinda want to save up for a lancer evo x gsr but ill try that stuff out when i get the chance. Know where i can get a tune for the car when i make the upgrades?
@@kraatek6132 the honda community likes getting an obd1 ecu and putting a Hondata chip in it. Researching this gets confusing everyone has the ecu they like better but I’d suggest a p75 or p28 ecu with the Hondata chip and then for tuning I’d suggest looking in your area for reputable tuners
I got my TJ for 1k had to put about 3k in it but still a good deal problem is it’s horribly slow with 35s and 280k miles it maybe makes 100hp at msot
The 3g eclipse v6 has is the same engine as the 3000gt and makes close to 200 hp and the 4g eclipse v6 makes close to 300 hp.
Good list but two cars I would include are a Toyota supra mk3/mk2 of course an my current daily driver a hyundia genesis sedan great car an good power even for a 3.8 v6

14:40 mk3 with jz? damn didnt know you shooting vids from japan. cuz last i checked jz mk3's were not shipped overseas, they got 7M's. if i remember right it had around 200-240 hp

I looked into the Ecplise for a track car and I'm having a hard time finding one for under 10k, mainly around 12-18k so do you have any tips for finding them?(cars in my area that arn't trucks or SUV's for some reason so i'm not calling you out on being wrong, because you're not)

A clean 2G Eclipse with under 100k miles here will set you back around 18k-20k USD. A really beat up gsx with 200k+ miles and has some issues would be like 10k 😆🤣
@MarkRoden, I think it might be the 7th gen celica that isn't reliable. My 1995 5th gen Celica St just shot a rod at 408,000 miles.

idk abt the 1st gen brz sure its cheaper than the new one but thats probably the only reason why you should get it over the new one. the new one is way better in every way imo. if you got the $ get the new one, if youre strapped get this one but its also EXTREMELY EXTREMELY OVERPLAYED. its likely youd find 50 or so other ones with similar mods at least

Mini coopers used to be like 1500-2500 and now their like 6500 anymore just looked around for a clean manual as a street fun haver and can’t find one that even touches as low as 3K now 😢 same with BMWs or Miata’s it’s ridiculous I’d take a 46 over a 3 chassis to be honest
