It's kinda impressive that she can simultaneously be freaked out by bugs in Elden Ring, but seems to have no problem mowing down literal hundreds of them in EDF.
she explained it a couple times already. the main problem with the bugs in ER is the level of detail, such as having hair. hair on them is a big problem for her, which the EDF ants dont have. also the way they move, i.e. skitter, is more realistic in ER (until they start doing their anime attacks).

I also had no issue with Romina because her centipede part is so giant.
You need to play around with those tiny cameras that capture the images from a smaller POV. Then look back at the spider, the video, back to the spider to ingrain to yourself that spiders are spiders no matter what their size is.
I had no issue with ds2 spiders, I dislike the BB spiders, ds1 giant fire worms and ER ants. For SotE the big spider scorpions are absolutely horrifying and Romina was fine. My dislike for bugs is very situational as well it seems.. For Romina I was surprised myself that I didnt really feel disgusted at all. I guess I was expecting much worse based on the area before hand lol
Centipedes use their many legs to grapple and restrain their prey so they can use their pincers to eject their prey with venom. Using a pair of modified legs as antenna, they are able to seek out prey with relative efficiency. On the downside, they aren't the best trackers and have a hard time detecting things that don't move since they are nearly blind (with their eyes only being able to tell the difference between light and darkness).
Centipedes don't have pincers tho. Their unique injector appendages are called _forcipules_ and are basically modified legs of the first body segment behind the head. As a curio detail the most of the tiny arachnid pseudoscorpions _do_ have venom injectors in their pedipalp pincers thus kind of combining the pedipalp features of their cousins the scorpions (pincers) and spiders (venom).
When I was at this boss, I kept thinking ow IRys going to like this boss. Another area that is full of bugs I am also waiting for her to go there and find flying scorpions xD
Never underestimate what a human can find attractive! If you think there is something no one would find attractive, Just remember, out of all the billions of people on this earth. There is at least one person who does.
This boss pissed me off bwcause it was really easy but it took me 4 tries. Each time she was down to 1 hit, I had plenty of flasks left, and I just couldn't land a single hit for a minute straight. Almost first tried her but spent 20 minutes anyways.
Always have some sort of throwing weapon and fire potions or something slotted for this exact situation when you just can't get near a boss with one hit point left: I killed the final boss of the DLC with a kukri for the killing blow lol
@@MichaelRigoni That's my go-to strat for many soulsborne games, tho sometimes I feel dirty doing a desperation throw instead of keeping with melee... Zero guilt doing that against invaders tho lol.
This is fascinating since I only fight Romina after having done everything else and having around 16 ish blessings, so I demolish her and actually don't know the fight. lol

Lack of detail generally. She probably couldn't care less about pokemon bugs but you start making her fight ER and Helldiver bugs and she freaks out.
I can't bring my self to harm any small animals or human IRL but I can mow them down in games while grinning... Go figure.

My favorite is Bayle. I don't use summons btw, so I only know about "Curse you Bayle" from youtube clips.
