Really? Ants are as inoffensive as an insect can get, scorpions or centipedes are a different breed. I only find them freaky because of how small they are though, when you scale them up they aren't gross anymore, at least for me.

Then you got the tiny little red pricks, Fire Ants that run up your legs and arms stinging you, repeatedly, over and over again.
I was legit thinking before the DLC: "Well Elden ring has all types of basic enemies; bats, skeletons, ghosts, the works. Where are the spiders at? And then Spider-Scorpions showed up, I was like "well at least Myazaki didn't add wasps to the mix." Lo and behold...

I had a lot less trouble with that accursed thing compared to the visceral reactions those spiderscorpions things gave me. I'm honestly considering dropping the DLC until I can mod those horrors out. They're that bad, and I heard they're apparently not just in that one castle.
She's so cultured for mentioning the HxH door trials! Also, at least in my opinion, she's really good at this game. Just keeps going at it rarely losing hope (heh) and beating bosses left and right.
These enemies actually forced me to abandon my exploration in a very late game area because they were genuinely starting to give me auditory and sensory hallucinations, not fun would not recommend
The Hairs help them feel changes in the currents of air, this tells them what's around them since Scorpions are nearly blind. But at least they can't eat solid food, which is why they use the venom in their stingers to turn their prey's insides into a liquid slurry that they slurp up.
The best part is that they're not even that strong as enemies, but they're so uncomfortable or so terrifying to look at you just can't stand being there.

Someone at FromSoft really decided we needed a spider-scorpion crossover. We did not, but they did it anyway.
