Cleveland Clinic CEO and President Tom Mihaljevic, MD, visits the ICU to learn how caregivers are providing safe medical treatment to patients infected with the 2019 novel coronavirus, including a PPE buddy system and management of ventilator and IV equipment outside of patient rooms. While there is no cure for COVID-19, Cleveland Clinic caregivers are able to provide supportive care for patients while following these best practices.

So very thankful to MICU @Cleveland Clinic for everything they do ! I've been a patient on the units for different dx's. The care I rec'd was and is TOP NOTCH ! Staff is going to get sick without social distancing and PPE FAST.
I support The Cleveland Clinic. I don't understand given COVID-19 has such an enormous amount of viral load when speaking or less than 6 feet apart, why are the professionals in this video are not wearing PPE? I'm a professional nurse and this behavior doesn't make sense. No COVID-19 environment is safe. I respectfully disagree.

As a Nurse, I am wondering why the care team are not wearing N95 masks treating COVID-19 masks, face shields?
As the video says, they are trying to preserve limited supplies of PPE by moving monitors outside the rooms so they don't have to use PPE every time they check the patient's vital signs. They wear full PPE to get patients in the rooms initially.
I love Cleveland Clinic and go here for my care and Im 1 .5 hrs away. Please stay . God bless u ALL! Wear your 😷😷and gloves!!

I believe those are cells on the inside of the the lungs. The cells that are directly exposed to air.

Dr.Mihalijevic was introducing is staff and he and he say none of them wearing Masks but they all are at risk because they are into the Hospital and that where the virus are.The video is very informative pertaining to Covid 19 ICU unit.And the Nurses working with each patients as they are assigned to.The staff make sure the patients are comfortable.They staffs working into intensive care unit are properly gear.Hand of hands and put gloves then Attend to the patients they are assigned to. The ICU unit is when a patients are at risk and into a critical conditions that when they are place into a ICU and also being on a Ventilator for breathing conditions.
