62 shows is too much, like i remember the time where seasons barely had 20 shows. If it doesn't reduce, just like pretentious sama mentioned visual creativity of anime will reduce dramatically.

Before COVID and during it, if you exclude the delays and all you would have 25-30 shows per season... Now you get double the amount which is insane... The normal casual viewer can't keep up and I hope it changes as soon as possible.

@@animenerd5million the future is looking kinda bleak ngl. Right now it's hard for animators to keep up with their low pay and overworking culture but I don't see anime being at the top of the tree for too much longer. There's gonna be a dropoff and a big one if they don't sort this stuff out. But only the people who are contributing to it can act now because the studios are given work and they can't do anything about it.

Kinda wanna see what the Kaiju no.8 anime has to offer, the manga was unsatisfying. Definitely hyped for Ranger Reject though.

To be honest I am not being Baised when I say Mushoku Tensei Season 3 will record one of the Best Plot twists in Isekai Genre but for now it's Season 2 part 2 where in start it will be Wholesome if you are connected to the Characters and at the End of this season I am having Goosebumps just think of the cliffhanger it will have.
I would recommend you that you should watch but if you are not going to watch this season, when 3rd season come out you should definitely continue the Series you will not be disappointed.

@@jackkckc-ic4kv I know some people who hate luffy in one piece. They still watch or the main character of tokyo revengers. Side characters can get you to enjoy a show. He likely got turned off by the (from what i heard) plot behind his antics. He doesnt like those types of shows even if it's handled as mature as you can it just rubs people the wrong way and he can get his fantasy action and character drama by watching frieren which people told me is the greatest anime ever made.

Delicious in Dungeon started out meh but keeps getting better and better! Kaiju 8 is sooooo good so far! I am loving the baseball show after not really caring about the first episode.

@@JenAiMarreDeSaucisse Never watched it but it's obvious. Most give it up for the same reasons i hear. Think of people giving up chainsawman in episode 2...for the boob thing x10. They just feel uncomfortable. Chainsawman is obviously distracting you with absurdist humor but that rubs people the wrong way, its a gamble...the main idea is about consent and intimacy's from real relationships but the same people who would agree with those things drop CM before getting it. (trust me). I dont watch tensei but i think its that show people drop and retry alot cause the uncomfortable scenes. Most westerners are sensitive to that stuff more than violence. It's a culture thing. They grew up where watching movies with any ___ scenes were taboo...and even in their 30s they still wont watch such things with their parents. But they will watch john wick etc. Also ___ material is hard to justify (--- meaning intimacy's topics (i assume that's in that show) or anything taboo to discuss). Correct me if im wrong. Anyway i get dropping it. Animation looks good though.
@@nichescenes fair enough, you would assume that most people who have heard of it have already watched some amount of anime tho.
Usually these people would be more encline to look past this kind of thing, but I can understand that some people still have an ick for that kind of stuff.
It is kind of hard to strike a balance between something raw and something too sanitized in terms of how authentic it feels. Could think of a moment or two in Steins Gate that are a bit cringe (less than mushoku tensei that being said), but it certainly is a masterpiece
@@JenAiMarreDeSaucisse yeah people keep asking for things to be different and challenging then complain when their off putting and tackle taboo subject matter. If they decide to tackle stuff we are used to we all go ugh that was ok, bit generic. Overall i get your point. I always thought chainsaw man explains its point pretty well, and its obvious before that your supposed to think his goal is silly and he really doesnt understand what he really wants. But so many dont understand it and dont get far enough, episode 3 to get that he's being used and isn't understanding what really matters. Maybe some subject matter just cant be taken in well cause the taboo nature and that's ok. No use forcing people who hate certain stories to watch. They end up just crap in on it anyway.

Kaiju No. 8 has been my most anticipated anime since it was announced, almost two years by the time it comes. Really looking forward to it, I haven't been this exited for a show in awhile. It's because this is the first anime I've read the manga for, physically at that. There's a leak that it will be 12 episodes, which is alright, the manga is biweekly so the anime won't catch up with it already. Good stuff. 😌

Too bad the best anime of the season got no hype in videos like these. Guess thats bound to happen with no global release, but if you have a few hours free Girls Band Cry is worth the binge.
62 shows and most of them are generic fantasy/ isekai. pretty boring season for me i think :/

I would also recommend scissor seven, it's similar to gintama and the animation is really good.

lol yeah he doesnt like shonen as much. That said this season should be faster paced and include stuff he'd like IMO. Not sure how MHA went from the beloved underdog shonen to everyone hating it all the while the series from last season and some of the end of 4, and the villian part were good. Just a few ehh arcs and people act like its lowest tier shonen. It was considered a unique idea for a shonen at release, i guess people just tend to grow annoyed at long runners. Not sure how one piece didn't fall to that.
I've never seen kaiju #8 but I think I might try it now

I mean, ok, there are new Konosuba, Yuru Camp and Hibike Euphonium seasons, i believe it's great, not watching it tho, there's a new BNHA season, I've lost my interest at around s03 but fine, and there's the Spice and Wolf remake... but well, it's a remake, so not that i really care about it. The rest feels so uninteresting, that I'll just watch some old shows and wait for summer 2024 that even rn seems more interesting.
My hero has taken a turn in this season's material. If you dont care just look up spoilers and you'd be surprised. That said you seem to like more light hearted or slice of life or dramas so you wont like my hero becoming so dark as it gets. Most shonen seem to curve dark by the ending and it seems things are changing as people want light hearted stuff like spy x family. I tried konosuba 3 eps and didnt get the hype but i respect it for making people happy. Seems like i have a sense of humor that doesnt click and im told the story is just for jokes so i let others have their fun. I watched one ep of the camp thing i think, some people caming then they got cold and stuff...needless to say yeah lol. But i think it would hit if your into that stuff. I of course like some shonen so obviously i seem simple but i enjoy the main ones...and jump into other stuff. Ghost in the shell, mob, erased, your name etc. Hope you get something out of the season, this season was a drought for me and likely had more stuff up other's alley.
Pretty uninterested by all of these... tbh the only new anime I'm currently looking forward to this year are CSM movie, Look Back, DDDD and DanDaDan

It’s not forced, the show just got worse overtime. Season 6 was an improvement from the previous 2 so I’m looking forward to season 7, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

@Probably Pretentious let’s be honest… it’s gotta be some program they are using to generate all these shows. 90% of these shows have that same generic look to it… nasty pointy chin etc. I refused to believe In house animators ( untrained ) which some are but anywho….are even animating these shows. What’s the deal with the industry? No more distinctive looks? Or only ( free lancers ) can provide that?
Yeah, i get liking this stuff and PP said he's not into shonen as much so i get why he isn't excited at shonen. But atleast the shonen are presured to look different. They get axed fast if there not.People hate on shonen cause the formula is the formula. But the ones we hate on are among the best looking and big ones each season. I hear all the time how demon slayer is trash or Mid but people for get stuff like A. triangle exist and other shonen that are way more generic. Generic doesnt equal bad either. But dang do i agree all the isekai and cute people doing mundane things bore me a bit. Maybe i gotta give em a chance cause shonen haters tell me how much better the just talk anime is...i guess its good for character drama but the same face syndrome of a generic look and stuff cant help keep my interest. Some shows on here look pretty though that could be due to not needing to animate much action. Ehh to each their own. Another bust for action fans. Hope people who like iseka are eating well or romance/Slice of life.

@@AJ-ry8qd I've seen people talk about him as a resource, although more from an animation perspective. I don't agree with his takes on writing which tend to be mediocre at best. Also his take that anime is an inherently superior medium to manga is very questionable opinion to have considering how close it is to "animation is for kids" by people who look down on the animation medium.
@@thomasffrench3639 he also stated he got into anime like a few years ago. His stance isnt solidified. He just as you'd imagine, ran through all the good stuff fast and on binge so seeing anything lower than 7/10 will seem awful. Most of the iseka and slice of life he recommended are 7-8/10 on imdb and mal.

I also got into anime a few years ago as well, although I had a solidified taste (for the most part) before I got into anime. Also I think that people have a little bias against slice of life. Like are you going to tell me that JJK is better than K-On? Probably not, but since people who are into anime like action shows, it has a higher rating.
@@thomasffrench3639 I find the opposite happens. In critic circles and youtubers they always scoff at shoenen. Like people watch a few then put their nose up at it and roll their eyes but rush to the next isekai or slice of life since its deeper character drama. Even critics who review shonen like totally not mark focus more on the slice of life aspects than the fights which they scoff at for taking too long. Which i find funny cause people skip filler where they get the most slice of life in shows like naruto and bleach to fill out characters. XD. People trash on shonen and think fights tell no story and upvote slice of life cause drama=good to them on reddit. I see tons of say demon slayer forshadowing aspects in the last 3 seasons but no one talks about it they just say the story is mid and carried by animation, and leave discussion at that. If that all was true people sure would like god of highschool more but dont. I guess it depends on the circles. I never saw K-On but much like bocchi (never saw it) im guessing its slice of life and people think its better than all shonen besides one piece lol. I dont even think the comparisons are necessary. It's not like JJK having a high rating means K-on is worst. It just means for those looking for action JJK is a good bet. IF people had to be that serious about thier ratings we'd just give all shonen 5/10 cause ugh its not as deep as berserk or they don't have the world building of one piece. But different shonen are focusing on different things. Chainsawman isnt trying to build the world like one piece, people can say AOT is bad for not having a bunch of lands to explore like one piece, but people dont do that. They judge on what AOT was trying and succeffully did. One piece doesnt have the straw hats dive into super growth each arc that changes them like say berserk but that's not what its focused on. K-On to you beats JJK because your looking for what K-on offers. JJK appeals like how most action blockbusters are watched more than some indie film about the meaning of life or something. Sure on paper the indie film to critics is much more nuanced and deep/life changing but is it as entertaining as seeing john wick beat 100 men, neo fight agent smith, some car flying out of a building in fast and furious, etc. Also i think like most shoenen people downplay what makes them good. JJK has alot of good qualities and focuses the plot to be as trimmed of fat that older shonens had. At the cost of fast pacing we get less down time to fall in love with characters but that's fine its not what he wants to focus on. The power system is good and we have tons of foreshadowing people missed that pays off later. Plus twist and turns. (and great action.)
