Also Aoba johsai is the school name and Seijou is their nickname because when u take the first 2 letters of their real name and read differently to spell out Seijou

Just because a character is well written doesn't mean you can't hate them lmao what. I love watching Oikawa but also hate him because he's fun to hate on :p Doesn't mean I don't appreciate him.
The scenes where they show Oikawa says something to each of the players after they hit, Oikawa playing around with Iwa, I always thought of it like Oikawa loosening up a tense Iwa, his words may come off as a jerk but maybe that is him calming down Iwa's nerves before a match since he knows him so well.
Oikawa is one of the best players in Haikyuu and of course a very well written character. He has a bit jerky side too but he is cool. It is soon that you all will start to like Oikawa.

While he is the only member being benched in this year's roster and seems timid, he's one of the few who can calm Hinata down, not bickering with Kageyama and keep Tsukki under control. Plus it's hard to imagine how his serves will be polished and evolves in two years time, he'll be deadly.
Yeah, I am pretty sure no one at Seijoh (Aoba Johsai) thinks that Oikawa is cool. At least the main roster doesn't care at all about him trying to act cool, they simply respect the work he is put in and are playing as a team. I think the reason for that is mostly because he is kind of a jerk not going to lie, but he speaks a lot more through his action than his words. What I mean by that is not that he doesn't talk (is quite the opposite), but that the team has build a lot of trust with him as the core and it comes from all the practice they went together all this years.

I think watching this show with the mindset of trying to predict who's going to win for the plot's sake is going to hurt your viewing experience. It would be much better to watch it as it is just like a sports fan rooting for their favorite team. Just my two cents
Oikawa is my favourite character but yall let people discover things on their own, as long as they're open minded i'm cool if they don't care that much for him. My only concern is seeing how conditioned some people are to leave an antagonistic character as just that, no matter how the storytelling progresses and layers are peeled back. I'm not on patreon but hopefully this is not the case for this channel since they've been pretty attentive so far.
