Fun Fact: A better translation of Hinata and Kag’s conversation is K: oikawa San can bring the best out of any team H: hmm… you mean any team except Karasuno yeah? They’re so good at talking to each other now and it’s treated so well
There's a mistake in the subs - when Kageyama remembers Iwaizumi saying that the stronger 6 are the stronger, he was talking NOT about adding everyone's strength together but multiplying it, implying that the chemistry between the players and obviously teamwork really matters. And while it's not exactly a bad translation, I really like the nuance in the next part, where Kageyama admits that Oikawa's better at drawing out the strengths of various players than him. Hinata doesn't really say "we're Karasuno", he says "EXCEPT for Karasuno", telling Kageyama that he's the best setter for this team :")
Volleyball player tape their finger to maintain stable position and extra strength when blocking. It also reduce the risk of the finger or the nail getting injured when blocking hard spike.
I've always loved that set from Kogane that Aone easily puts away. One of the sets that show how fast middles (that aren't Hinata lol) actually attack.
Even when the 3rd grade of Dateko retired at the Inter-High, they were crying in the absence of the 1st and 2nd grades. But sophomores were watching it. There was such a depiction in the movie! They are very cheeky sophomores, but I really like the fact that they have a lot of respect for their "Senpai"! Dateko ... Maybe next year will be scary!
When you decide to block, you want to have both hand as close as possible to minimalize chance of the spike going through. Konegawa meanwhile is still green in blocking and in process leave wide gap between his hand that Iwaizumi as experience wing spiker take adventange off. It simply just a moment to show why Iwaizumi is the Seijoh ace. He is experienced and willing to take challenge in the court. That last point is definitely more of Iwaizumi experience and his mental fortitude then Oikawa set. Even though it good to acknowledge that Oikawa willing to listen to his spiker demand and give the set that he want perfectly, even though at first he have different idea on how to tackle the block by sending it little bit farther. That the reason why character like to point out that people who may not necessarily like Oikawa personally still would end up enjoying playing games with him as the setter.
First, I love how more players are leaving comments! This kind of matches is often overlooked to pump up the hype for next match and hide "secret weapons" and the like. The author had the best idea tho, because the winner would be "our" next opponent, so from the team's perspective would be obvious to check the competition, it's a nice touch. Very interesting that both Dateko and Seijou appeared, well, strong, but alto human. We used to see them as monsters, now our pov is more like "now karasuno can be as strong as they are"
majority of sub watchers be like: 1:11 there are people that can't figure out who the fuck is speaking in scenes where the speaking character is out of frame, even for main characters 200 episodes in, how the hell can't you recognize the mc's voice wtf?

You aren’t crazy, they added the Daichi cheek mark to the OP. It’s a nice detail to add.

Iwaizumi is amazing. Love him! "Your resolve is weak, little first year!" such a badass!
That scene where iwaizumi break through the wall always made me have goosebumps 🥶
Yes, Dateko is all about walls that's why you can see Eren here as a libero hahahaha
