Seeing Oikawa locked in on the game footage is such a dope moment. Really contradicts his playful nature we've seen. You realize he takes volleyball so serious and works hard. One of the best characters frfr

So true! That moment before walking on the court with his team, the scene in his room watching the video, even him being annoyed at Kageyama at the end! 😤 Oikawa shines the most when you see how much he takes volleyball seriously (at least for us)

It's really annoying when the cocky assholes are actually good at what they do😂

"Seijou" is a kind of nickname for Aoba Jousai. In Japanese, Aoba Jousai is a two-word name written with two kanji each: "Ao" (青) "ba" (葉) and "Jou" (城) "sai" (西). "Ao" (青) can also be read as "sei." So you take "Sei" (青) and "Jou" (城) to get "Seijou" as a shortened way to say Aoba Jousai.
I worked for three years at a middle school formally called Higashine 3rd Municipal Junior High School, or Higashine Shiritsu Daisan Chūgakkō. But everyone refers to it as "San-Chu" ("San" as in the number 3 in Japanese and "Chu" from "chūgakkō," middle school in Japanese).

    Hardwork vs Genius.
That’s a quick and great pick up of the theme I think.

Interesting you guys notice one of the big themes in this show: Hardwork vs Genius. Moving forward (even in a later season) this topic is worth paying attention to for a better understanding of the characters. There's gonna be long convos or monologues breakdown abt this topic, and I hope you guys will take it comprehensively when watching the show. Because viewing chara like Oikawa one-dimensionally in this show is the biggest mistake one can make.. and it can take away the main essence of this show "the characters".

Basically, the Chinese characters that the Japanese use..
when used for a person or group's name, they can decide on their own 'pronunciation'.
it's like this: Yagami Light of Death Note, his name Light in Chinese, it's '月'
and that letter 月 means 'moon' and usually, the word is pronounced "tsukki."
by the way, Yagami raito's parents decided to pronounce son' name 'Raito/Light', not tsukki.
