As a Senators fan from day 1. I was in attendance at their first ever game. I think I have a love for this 2017 team more than any other, including the 2007 cup final team. It was sad to see this team implode after the expansion draft.
I never believed Ottawa Senators were out of the game as it was still possible a team can still comeback from a two goal deficit even that late in the game.
This team was so special to watch down the stretch of the regular season and then absolutely electric in the playoffs. They should’ve went on to the Stanley Cup final and likely would have if not for terrible officiating and massive favouritism for Crosby and Company. So close yet so far. The new Senators team they’re building is going to hoist some cups in the coming years, before 2025

Norris Stützle Pinto down the middle…guys like Tkachuk, Batherson, Formenton And I really like their chances if I’m being honest, No huge team crippling contracts in Ottawa is going to be a very fast riser
