these refs were goddam AWFUL to the bruins all afternoon long, but we beat them AND the flyers! WOOO OT was excruciatingly amazingly intense, and I loved how we started the RECCHI CHANCE chant after he went after the cheapshot Pronger... AND SAVVVVYYYYYY WELCOME BACK WOOOOOOOOOOOOO go bruins! I am still pumped over having been there today :)
@Dallasblows20 it was more an overall summational description of Rasks play... plus any breakaway or "easy chance" isn't so easy for a goalie to stop in a high pressure situation liek that. aka... Leighton giving up the stanley cup winning goal like he did haha
@muska114 Every game where the Bruins had Krejci, they beat the flyers, the game he was taken out they lost four straight. Krejci was one of the Bruins top offensive producers in the playoffs... So Boston did not have a healthy team.
@ak40kevn It's was his first game back, and he scored the game winning goal. It's an achievement in it self. It's a new season, play offs are over, now they go back to the grind.
David Krejci had the best goal of the night i think, not tming or anything like savvy, just the way he deked that bitch and tucked it in like he had all the time in the world is effin awesome
well the flyers were not exactly healthy either, they did not have gagne for the first three games and didn't have carter for the whole series. And although they played well, Leighton and Boucher were backups. We didn't have a starting goalie throughout the whole playoff. Ill admit that Boston had probably worse injuries, but, the flyers were battered as well, but, what team isn't during the playoffs?
@AGP12345 this will def be something down the rd where I'll remember where I was during this goal. One of the more better goal celebrations I have seen in some time given savy's last couple months. and officials stunk today, but at least each bad call was matched to the other team, nothing lopsided. The trip/interference that happened to bergeron, 1st games penalty, what a disgrace of a call, and I am bruins fan.
@amn22492 OH and when they called out Savvy as 1st star, even with hte garden emptying out, it was deafening :D and hey, NBC seems to have done a good job with this game! anyone have an update on Sturmy? The guys sitting next to me said afew minutes later he's out for the season with a burst Achilles tendon or something, i dont remember. And sobotka missed some time after crashing into the next, I'm assuming he's ok now since he played after a while, right? go bruins :)
@ZSv2 yeah i know and then like the flyers like totally came back and like celebrated like they won the series...........like because they actually did!
For most of the past two decades, Bostonians abandoned the Bruins, having attendance percentages in the bottom third in the league. Like all other Boston teams that eventually got good, the city was quick to jump on the Bruins wagon. Philly is the superior sports city in terms of the fan base. You look at stats, you use common sense, we've never abandoned our teams. I don't think we would be the most hated fans in sports if we didn't show up for games and didn't know our teams.
Boston technically only has 3 teams, Patriots play for "New England" technically, even though they play outside of Boston, Patriots are the weakest representation of an area of this country in all of pro sports.
@MatJohnson525 NO Mat, the NHL has NOT made hockey a "bitch" sport, if anything, your comments are "bitch"-like LOL. Hockey is STILL a great sport to watch, & if you don't like it the way it is now, then TOO DAMN BAD. Go watch something else. Either that or just get used to the post-lockout NHL the way it is now because it is NOT going to change back to pre-lockout hockey just because you don't like it. The post-lockout NHL is staying just the way it is, it is NOT going away, now deal with it!
I was at this game, the last great moment of Savards career and I'll always feel proud to have witnessed it
"A drive.. SCORE!!!!!! SAVARD!!!"
Holy shit Doc knows how to send chills down your spine
Still get goosebumps from Savards OT winner and celly. such raw emotion.
8:35 speechless!!!!
Savard is my hero because of this goal.
He is missed dearly.
Very, Very sad his career had to be destroyed by that fucking monster Matt Cooke.
Doc at his finest that entire Ot
I'm sure going to miss hearing Doc call a game. None better.
God I miss Marc Savard...
Krej was leading the Bruins in points until Richards broke his wrist in game 3. Everything changed when he left and Gagne returned.
too bad savard might still be playing if werent for a cheap shot by matt cooke
Don't forget Matt Hunwick
Absolutely sickening game. Gets lost in pits of Bruins worst moments (3-0 series choke) . But one of the best games the last decade hands down.
my first bruins game in boston... and what a game! hope he re-recovers quick :(
What a SNIPE by Savard!!!
You have been the plug to hockey while in quarantine
Not to mention Gagne came back for the Flyers, both teams were completely different after game 3. Rask was the only one who showed up for Boston.
This was a great gift for Marc Savard to score that huge game winning goal in his first game back. I was so excited to see it.
the move by krejci was filthy
Dang. That's some serious skill from Krejci and Briere on their individual goals. They are definitely top notch.
Savyyyyyyyy, GO BRUINS GOOOO!!!!
This game was sweet despite the series outcome. But I'll also never tire of watching the Blackhawks putting an end to the Flyers!
Awesome game. To bad cooke took a scumbag shot.
"this guy's super human in goal!"
Wow 12 years ago
Boucher was on fire in OT!!
its depressing :,(
these refs were goddam AWFUL to the bruins all afternoon long, but we beat them AND the flyers! WOOO
OT was excruciatingly amazingly intense, and I loved how we started the RECCHI CHANCE chant after he went after the cheapshot Pronger... AND SAVVVVYYYYYY WELCOME BACK WOOOOOOOOOOOOO go bruins! I am still pumped over having been there today :)
Makes it even sweeter taht savard came back and scored "D
@Dallasblows20
it was more an overall summational description of Rasks play... plus any breakaway or "easy chance" isn't so easy for a goalie to stop in a high pressure situation liek that. aka... Leighton giving up the stanley cup winning goal like he did haha
i loved this seris is was exiting
@muska114 Every game where the Bruins had Krejci, they beat the flyers, the game he was taken out they lost four straight. Krejci was one of the Bruins top offensive producers in the playoffs... So Boston did not have a healthy team.
For how much boucher sucks, he had a good overtime
3-0 series lead were gonna win!!!!!.......*woops that slipped*
@ak40kevn It's was his first game back, and he scored the game winning goal. It's an achievement in it self. It's a new season, play offs are over, now they go back to the grind.

Great moment for Savard. Ovechkin's goal celebrations don't have shit on Savvy's.
@epforrest
thx mate
What is for song if boston score? :)
@AGP12345

beautiful fuckin hockey.
good goal. but when all set and done, the better team won
@amn22492

go bruins :)
@ckendall67 It is BETTER now than the "clutch n' grab" hockey that we all watched before 2004...& that's a fact.
Bruins let the flyers come back from A 3-0 LEAD!! Well at least they won the cup next year
Isn't it ironic that Savard's OT goal against Montreal in 2008 was also when a penalty was coming?
I remember watching this game and thinking yes a penalty and they screamed goal and I went what the fuck just happened?!?
6 25 through 6 37 is the best hahah
@mjh8812 is there a chance he'll ever play again?
whats the announcers name perferbally the main one thats screams alot his voice is sooooo cool haha
Mike "Doc" Emrick
@@DennyThePanther thanks..... I’ve waited 11 years to find this out.
@@94iamaranger Really lol?
@@DennyThePanther no lol. i dont even remember making that comment, was probably my little brother.
@@94iamaranger But still, 11 YEARS.
Did y'all even find out during that 11 year gap?
@LZRDKNG721 and it's a brand new year...we'll see what happens this year
@Losingstreakk lol, not true
Love Matt cooke lol
Poor boucher left out to dry by his defense. Same song and dance for the flyers
@ZSv2 yeah i know and then like the flyers like totally came back and like celebrated like they won the series...........like because they actually did!
@Losingstreakk I think we abandoned the 76ers.
david had enough time to eat a sandwich before he put it in!!!!!!!
@muska114 look at all the injuries they had during the season, then you can talk.
For most of the past two decades, Bostonians abandoned the Bruins, having attendance percentages in the bottom third in the league. Like all other Boston teams that eventually got good, the city was quick to jump on the Bruins wagon.

@muska114 sturm goes down game 1, they lose krejci in the middle of the series too, savard wasn't healthy. that's not healthy sir.
@Rayescz Zombie Nation- Kerncraft 400
@Losingstreakk I think someones jealous
@rp548 This kid is mad....
I wish we lost this game...
Why?
HardcoreHockey You are aware of what went on to happen, correct?
Christopher Johnson actually no what happened?
HardcoreHockey This was the series where we blew the 3-0 lead.
Christopher Johnson but either way they would have been up 2-1 in the series and probably still would have lost lol
@sheldonJones44 Worst team? ok guy.
@MrPhillyFlyers lol
Boston technically only has 3 teams, Patriots play for "New England" technically, even though they play outside of Boston, Patriots are the weakest representation of an area of this country in all of pro sports.
So what...the flyers won the series after being down 3 games to none. Boston choked!!!! Thank you
@falanabr hahahahaha
