  • Watch as the Montreal Canadiens refuse to quit needing a goal late against the Philadelphia Flyers, holding a six-man attack for over a full minute before Cole Caufield finally cashes in to tie the game with two seconds remaining.

Especially with many kick saves, sog's and off but inability for one team to clear the puck out of their zone or stop play. It was the continuous nature of the last minute plus that was unusual and thrilling. The last time the Habs pulled one of these extra man, last second tying goals was when they had Max Domi. Exciting then, exciting now.

You're right. Yeah, he doesn't look like much physically, but the kid has exceptional hockey IQ and makes the most of his better by the year (in consistency) skill package. Caufield missed twice in the sequence and Suzuki still calmly sent the laser pass his way, knowing CC wasn't going to miss the net on the third try. Kudos to the Habs as well for being able to keep the puck in the zone despite the Flyers efforts to clear it and win the game in regulation.

@Stentor Of Sparta like wow what are you even doing here in this particular comment section? I'm genuinely asking! What is your actual purpose coming here with these comments? I'm just curious, and a little concerned with your actual well-being, as I don't understand what you really get out of that....
If you really do hate the Habs, it probably means you like another team instead. Then why, for your very own community-fueled, well-being enducing, and just simply wholesome, self-care, aren't you just going to the videos of the team(s) you like, and comment positively about them? It would probably make you, and everyone around you, smile more, which is what life really is about, especially since these things are fundamentally just games and should just be entertainment, and should not be a source to poison one-self's mind or others'

The whole sequence was between Suzuki, Cole and Matheson. I mean Matheson saved that puck on the line a couple of times. Cole going in the mid to get the puck and keep it with the Habs by passing to Matheson and Suzuki's passing

yeah i know - i don't see anyone bringing this up. i don't think the d-man said anything as he was gasping for air. not a classy move. i know the history but #14 gotta let it go. the tap on the head was immature back then and this is immature now 3 years later. he is "C" - should stop. my guess is he will have a target on his back next game?

    • @etmori8601

Because if you look at hart during that play he goes down anticipating Suzuki shooting but instead Suzuki gives a laser pass while hart just dropped to butterfly meaning he needs to go and push off before that pass gets to caufield but due to him being down in a flat butterfly from a pass that looked like a shot he just wasn’t able to push off in time to get across.

Suzuki gets pay back @ 1:13 with a slash back to #77 for mucking with his teammate the entire time.

True but then you are in full control of the puck and anything can stop the play the moment a Flyers player touch the puck.....then force your team into a faceoff you can lose and screw up everything you've build up in the offensive zone for a minute. It can be good but it can turn against you too as in a faceoff its 50/50%. Imagine they call out the penalty, game stop, Flyers win the faceoff, dump it and score. I would be mad if the game had to stop while in full control in the offensive zone in the name of a penalty. ouch
