All credit to Slaf on the hatty, it's terrifying to see just what he's grown into, but keep in mind where the other two thirds of the goals came from: Every line scored, and only two forwards came out without at least a point. This was a team performance

@@VGNtheunwise Not really. Hart only started 25 games and won only 12 of those. His stats weren’t exactly that great either. I think it was mainly Tortorella getting the most out of his team as usual. Philly was expected to be a bottom feeder this year before the season started.

Savard is an ideal defender with a good pass and has no problem making a break pass as he found Slaf for his third goal. I think that every forward plays well with such a defender. Congratulations, Juraj.
this looked like an exhibition game
very loose hockey. Flyers looked uninterested from the beginning. Maybe they sense they are not making the playoffs, even though they are only about 3 points back.
I can't imagine what kind of mood Torts would have been after the second and third perods.

As a hockey neutral newby I've noticed how when Montreal do well their arena is absolutely rocking. The place & people must be mental next level when they go deep in the post-season? Defo 1 hella of a hockey town, I love a passionate fan base.
In Montreal, hockey is religion,and the players are gods.😊😊😊
One of the best hockey atmospheres for sure. The playoff run in 2021 was a true underdog story

This game was one of those situations where the winning team looked good, but the losing team made them look REAL good!

In Sept. of 2023, I said watch Juraj Slafkovsky. He'll break out with 20+ goals this season and the Montreal fans thought I lost my mind, that my thinking was all wrong, Slaf might score 10 goals for the whole entire 2023/24 season. If he was lucky. But I knew he was better than that.

Torts probably didn’t even go into the dressing room after the game… just let his complete absence do the talking lol I remember having those kinda games! The next day at practice our coach would laugh as we all stepped onto the ice and say, “whats with all the sticks and pucks? You won’t be needing those today!” Followed by power skating drills until you puke

I think Philly has been done for awhile, but this game was basically proof they're DONE.

Mtl have a better team than most people think. Loosing a lot of game by only 1 goal, injuries and the 3 goaly rotation that did not help..

@@1mindspin They've won 5 of the last 8 and the offense is coming from the front lines...finally! It's not necessarily a good thing when your team is leading the whole league in scoring by defensemen (but still not scoring enough to outright win most games).
Shows me that the team,want to send a message to the top administration. Get rid of Mr.torts. a big blow out game from a team that's not even in the playoffs. Says it all. 😊

@@silentboy1012 Not every regional broadcast team defaults to sounding completely disinterested when their home team is getting blown out. If the fans aren't enjoying the game, they can tune out. They don't need the broadcasters to perform disappointment for them. If I'm choosing to watch the game while my team is losing, I want the commentators to sound like they're watching the game as well.
Where was Cole Caufield? There were 9 goals scored in this game and all I saw was one assist for him. One point is better than no points.

Philly's problems are deep rooted in not listening to their coach. They are trying to play transition against Montreal.
That's not a good idea. No team should try that. Montreal isn't a good team, but the one thing they do well is transition play.

Yes it's his first hat trick and he's the second youngest player to do it in habs history. The only one who did it younger was Stéphane Richer. Richer around 2 weeks before hiting 20 and Slaf 1 week after hiting 20. It was close!

I'm a habs fan and when it happened not only I laughed because it's Anderson but I looked at my bro and said there's no way it's a goal...I couldnt really understand why there wasnt an interference call. Tort didnt even try to call for a replay to revert the decision...I guess he was just like ''fock it I'm done'' 😂
