For everyone in the comments, not every song is going to be elevated by super intricate grooves. Sometimes serving the songs needs is more important at the end of the day.
Wtf guy. Are trying to sound superior??? Why do you feel the need to address this, did someone make a comment that hurt your liberal feelings? You are giving off serious small dlck energy. Do you even play and instrument beside the skin flute?
A lot of drummers seem to miss the point that it’s about serving the song and not your own ego It’s why a lot of the simplest drummers are so good, cuz they serve the song and are incredibly tight and don’t feel the need to add random fills in and overcomplicate things

2:37 couldn’t be “can’t go back” because if i’m correct that was recorded 3 weeks before they first debut it on june 20th 2024. i may be wrong though. it sounds a lot like it but the drum groove is vastly different.
I saw Travis Barker playing a DW kit in one of their more recent live shows, I thought it was weird because I've never seen him play anything other than OCDP drums... But here I see him playing a couple different DW kits mixed in with his OCDP kits. After looking online, it appears OCDP was bought by Guitar Center and makes total garbage drums now, so I'm guessing he's not getting new kits from them anymore.
Idk man these clips of Travis lack the intricate grooves he brought to all of their other albums pre-California. I feel like since that album, he’s definitely reeled it back and has been doing a lot more straightforward beats. He still crushes live but he seems to have lost his character in the studio. I always can tell if Travis has drummed on a song and with these the only way I know it’s him is because he’s there in the video.
i get what you're saying and i feel this is true for most of the last albums. these were more straightforward. but i do think the band would not show the most intricate/original parts of the beats in social media. the goal of the stories is to keep people engaged while showing the least possible that can be used by other artists, even more in a band linke blink, that tends to delay the launch of the record
@@hudsanity_1590 nah, it’s a collaborative effort if you read the album notes and who did what on the songs. No such thing as a “Tom” album or “Mark” album or even “Travis” album. But Travis did have a hand in producing this one.
No disrespect to Travis but his Creativity on the drums hasn’t really been the same since Neighborhoods that was probably his last Great album with Original and intricate grooves but untitled will always be his peak everything after neighborhoods was more straightforward punky and hip hop grooves with less creativity or intricacy
It's not all about creativity, it's about what sounds good for the song. There's some great, creative drumming on Nine in songs like Remember to Forget Me. At the end of the day pop punk is about making catchy beats that sound good and there is no one in the industry that's even remotely as good as Travis when it comes down to it.
@@sk4tez182 just got through the comments, more people share the same thoughts as me. Too straightforward beats. Would expect he would push the limits as he used to.
Nah, I disagree. There’s nothing that makes him overrated if you look at his chops from the past to today and all. He’s earned those chops and for the recognition he’s received. People who complain he’s overrated is blind or has some other issues to the big picture and what Travis has done over the years.
For everyone in the comments, not every song is going to be elevated by super intricate grooves. Sometimes serving the songs needs is more important at the end of the day.
I was thinking the same thing, this isn’t gonna be a box car racer album. Some of these parts are probably gonna be bridges or little break downs.
Does this really need to be addressed?

has a take off/ enema type of vibe to it. i’d love to hear tht style again
That's "more than you know" right there with the double pedal. I hope they'll use every single one of these and put like 20 songs in the album

Album is confirmed to have 17 tracks
So great drum work 😍
Somehow I can really tell this album gonna be just as good as Self titled based on drums
It’s Travis- of course it’s gonna be sick
@@MartyMcFly88 I compared it to self titled?? Can u read? I didn’t think the last two albums were “sick” p
Nah.
No it wont.
@@Yamas258 he means Travis’ drumming is sick no matter what album or project he’s attached too. Can’t you understand his statement?
Travis barker double pedal unlocked hell yeah!!!
i cant wait to learn this album on my drums
Cant fucking wait🤩😍
2:45 is See You
They recorded guitar, bass, and vocal at a frequency only dogs can hear
Ask your dog if the albums good

5:31 adams song part 2?!?!?!
It has box car racer feels
6:07 - 6:38 more than you know
❤🥁❤️Sounds great Travis!!
I’m feeling an I Miss You Pt 2 vibe rn
5:31 - it reminds me little bit of "Adam's song" drumming style or sound & rhythm
sounds like bonham kit sound
Che bestia trey❤
BOLD drumming!
6:15 Double Bass?!
He played double bass on the FFTL song he recorded too.
3:27 anybody know what this was used for?

He switched to DW drums around the beginning of 2022 but he’s used their hardware for a long time before then

it reminds me little of Adam's song style or sound
Wish I could drum
Do you have a kit?
@TheDanimatorsChannel no I wish.. When at work I'll grab some brush lil twigs and act like I can play
Wow he had a jacket on!
This doesn't sound like new albums. Alot of it sounds like drums from after midnight, and redone material from the self titled album.
is it a problem?
are they recording the album by in their own?
First one could totally be after midnight pt 2
Fr lol
Last clip was Always. If you know you know
i prefered him with those ocdp kit than dw, it sounds like blink 1997-2004 era
omg is that the 04 soundcheck song as the first one on the vid?😊
Looks like there’s two versions of “More Than You Know” 1:26 & 6:07
Myb overdubs?
all of travis drums aren’t for blink btw
He’s got the John Bonham thing happening. I love it

This is going to be Tom's album. Kudos to Travis for chilling out a bit if so, he went way over the top on California, overkilled nearly every song.
