Today we're gonna build one of the bets BAMBOO farms that exists in the game which gives a lot of bamboo! I hope you guys enjoy it!

Great Farm! You can connect the upper bamboo with an observer and the observer with a piston that activates the flight mashine observer so it automaticly starts when the bamboo is grown the maximum ;)

@@ItokiOcha so there is a piston that activates the observer that is build in the fly Maschine right? But instead of building a cage for a Mob, you could place another observer facing the bamboo at a height of like 5 blocks, then connect this observer with the piston that activates the fly Maschine. You have to do ist on both sides, and whenever the bamboo grows at for this example 5 blocks, the observer facing the bamboo will sending an impact to the piston that automatically will activate the observer from the fly Maschine. I guess you have to use normal pistons, not the sticky ones. I tried my best explaining this, and I hope it will help you. I didn’t play Minecraft for a long time now, but this is all I remember.

FYI - I did this.. and tested the minecart w/hopper and it worked fine.. then covered it, installed the machine, etc all as the video shows (using Java ver 1.20.1 now) - so what happened when I set the minecart/hopper into action - about the last rail it died and stopped. A quick fix to that was I made another 6-pack of powered rails, made several of them in the middle now 4-long and that solved my issue.
Do I have to use leaves?
@@FishLegs4You hi. I tried without leaves but the machine sticks to other blocks & doesn't work. so yes we must use leaves.
The minecart is supposed to stop until all the bamboo is emptied from it, then it'll resume on its own.

@@noobypro6362no he means just stops under the track same issue for me it slows down as it hits the corners and 3 three powered rails almost aint enough (gave it a push by putting myself in the crawl space) and it has just enough momentum to make it after it stops at the beginning again

I built this with your tutorial, which is awesome by the way! Understandable, easy to follow, the hardest for me to get were the slime blocks. Now I have a dilemma, as I have no idea what to do with all the bamboo xD it produces so much and I'm drowning in bamboo.
Best use for the bamboo imo is to get a fletcher villager and just farm emeralds

Followed it block for block. Pistons don’t go to the other side. They maybe move 2 or 3 blocks forward and then between 2 and 4 back after that. It’s near impossible to get it to the other side. Most of the time it just gets sent to the same side it started on.
you may have placed one to many slime blocks
use one sticky piston and a normal piston and your machine will go straight

also, i'm making this farm rn. i've decided to make it bigger, 12x25 but only plant on the midle, this way i have 4 extra rows for collection and the front and the back are also covered
i changed this farm leaves to green dye glass since it look great but the second piston wont take the slime even when its powerred

So i build this farm in java 1.20.2 and the flying machine didn’t work, later i found out that it didn’t work bc i replaced the leaves with glass so if you wanna build this farm use leaves

This guy is the literal goat of farms
Half of bamboo is scattered through gaps on both ends of the farm. You better close them somehow.as items bounce off slime blocks pretty far.
Sticky Pistons will not go the full length

hey, i just wanna know, the machine instead of going to one side and stopping it goes and then comes back mid way, then goes and goes back, sometimes it takes 2 seconds, sometimes it takes 5 seconds but it goes back and forth without stopping at one point or another, how do i fix this problem
Don't play on bedrock
Its only breaking bamboo in one direction(when pulling mode) and it get stuck in other direction when it hits even a single bamboo...why?

I particularly recommend that you build walls with much larger sheets and leave two daylight detectors with a redtone connection to the lamp, so that every day and night the Farm actually works automatically.
Upgrade - make an auto-wool farm on each end of the farm and each time the wool is harvested, it fires the flying machine. It would take a little redesigning, but I saw another that used a piece of bamboo growing that would trigger the observer. Great build though. Extremely simple, easy to build for a novice, and functional. And if it gets broken for some glitch, it's pretty simple to get the redstone devices back in their proper places, which is a big bonus. Kudos for functional simplicity! The only tedious part is waiting to gather enough slime. The good side is with this simple build, you could just start small and add blocks as you gather more slime.
The minecart keeps randomly stopping on the track after a couple cycles, even stopping on powered rail and i have to give it a nudge. I wanna use it afk but not sure why it just randomly stops sometimes even if I don't leave the area. Anyone else have this issue or know why it happens?
Tested, you dont need all 24 powered rail in the middle, 1-2 on each line will work, still need 2 powered on both ends

I did this but once the hopper minecart gets to the hoppers and deposits it gets stuck even when the powered rails turn back on. I followed the tutorial perfectly so idk why my minecart wont move once its done.
Try replacing all your minecart stuff

Works really well for me. The only issue seems that the mobs just sometimes do not move for a very long time, or just sit still on the pressure plate.
I got rid of the mobs & pressure plate & placed a daylight sensor on each redstone light instead (Day on 1 side, Night on the opposite side). Also made walls around the farm higher because the farm only sets off once a day now & the bamboo gets quite tall. Same rates, just more consistent because the mobs can stop moving every now & then 👍

the flying machine isnt working for me the second piston doesnt seem to pull the row of slime blocks and i checked that its a sticky piston already

this was a good farm,. i added some observers to automate the farm, and had to add some powered rails because the minecart got stuck twice on two separate parts of the track. thanks for making this vid

@williamlemoine9977 i placed one observer to check for when a specific piece of bamboo grew to a certain heignt, then made that activate the flying machine with the redstone lamp. i then placed a second observer on the other side of the farm to automatically send the flying machine back to the beginning. i did have a tiny issue with the first observor that i need to fix, but other than that, it works well.

The piston will get stuck in the middle and will not reach the end the first time.

We're stuck at the time when we put the 2nd lamp next the the obs block >> The machine doesn't move
For more precise, it only pushes the 2 slime blocks one block away and keep it there. Nothing else
Even tho we destroy everything and redid the whole progress, it still doesn't change

Does this work with honey blocks as well? Also, do I need to use leaves? Would blocks like cobblestone and netherrack also work?
you can use honey blocks instead of slime.
& yes you need to use leaves. cobblestone & netherrack won't work. there are few other blocks that don't stick to slime/honey, but leaves are the easiest to get.
bro im making in multiplayer and when i jump on presher plate then it aint start again any way to fix ?
Probably a stupid question but should I make sure this farm is off when I leave the loaded chunks or would I be fine
i think flying machine will break if it's in between while the chunk unloads
@@kuro758 okay well for someone who's bad at all things redstone, what's the best way to shut it down and not have it unintentionally start back up
@@Vox_80 one of the easier ways is to remove one of the pressure plates, when the machine reaches that end it won't trigger again
@@kuro758 fair enough but is there a way that I could put it on like a button or a lever to turn it on and off or would that just require a massive redesign or even be flat-out impossible
@@Vox_80 it's not impossible but would require a slight redesign. the idea would be to move a sheep enclosure a little away, create an AND gate between the sheep's trigger and a lever that you want to use to turn the farm on and off. Then you feed the output of this gate to another lamp from which the observer in the machine will read.
In this way the sheep's trigger is only valid when the lever is flicked ON.

I was having trouble with the flyer it never get to the other end in would go to the middle and then come back if some one can tell me what I’m doing wrong. It would also just stutter back and forth in the same spot

It happened to me too. This flying machine does not work on bedrock.
There is one problem with the flying machine for me in bedrock tho, it does this weird forward and backwards motion where it would go forard for about 4 blocks then just come back, couldn't see a solution to that

@@brentarellano453 yeah did a little research and apparently it's just a bedrock thing, this design works up and down just not side to side, so I just looked at a different design.

Sugarcane make paper. Paper make firework. Firework fly elytra. With a creeper farm and phantom farm, Infinite flight

Couple of problems: not enough powered rails to keep the cart going. Also, my cows do not move if they are out of range thus the bamboo grows but the machine does not. I wouldn't use this method again.,
Hey does anyone no how to do the flying machine because it does not work ever time I tried I’ve tried like 5 to 10 times and ever time it doesn’t work I even tried look up how to just build a flying machine nothing works so thanks the difficulty who ever made this video

@@MiloBejarano look up for flying machine for bedrock & build that. I believe the rest of the farm should work fine. test single components in creative first, like the unloader, item picking, flying machine

What am I doing wrong? Every time the minecart comes to empty in the chest I get 1 or 2 pieces of bamboo.
Built the farm but keep having issues with the piston / observers as it keeps wanting to go but seem to wanna go back and forth as it seems to keep delayed maybe idk how to fix it.

I had this problem too. What I didn't realize is that the design I went with didn't work for bedrock, so I had to find one that did and now it works very well.

Theres a problem with the farm, i think if you unlaod the farm right while the flying machine is moving, itll get stuck and you have to set it off manually

break the chest, put an item in the hopper next to the comparator. when you do this, the repeater should turn off. if this happens, then you have done everything right. if it doesn't happen, recheck the circuit.
make sure your circuit looks exactly as shown at 1:01

I built a clock on both sides to make it always go right back after it comes to one end

@@kuro758 If you search up a simple red stone clock on Google you can go to the images and put the clock to constantly tune on and of the redsone lamp at both of the ends. Mine has 4 repeaters and 4 redsone+one connecting to the red stone lamp
The observer detects when the light turns of not when it turns of.

width -no, length - yes
Won't work for me. I rebuilt the flying machine and it's almost impossible to mess up. But when it runs, it stutters. It goes a few one way, then back, then the other way...just randomly going each way. I just timed it and with the back and forth, it took about 90 seconds to complete on path from end to end. The hopper cart isn't working either. The cart barely bounces when it hits the block next to the comparator. When the count reaches zero and triggers the comparator to send a pulse, the rail lights up with power, but it doesn't move. Any ideas? I had a different bamboo farm in a more congested area that worked, but it was complex to build. I'm in bedrock...any idea what may be happening?
maybe u stepped on the pressure plate sometimes messing the order up? idk
@@thebedyt_4653 I'm not sure why it is not working, but it has nothing to do with what i'm doing, but I gave up on it. The flying machine in this video obviously works, so it may be me on Bedrock, or maybe my PC is just not powerful enough, although everything else seems to work fine. I had to revert back to my old flying machine setup which had 4 observers, 2 sticky pistons and 2 pistons, along with more slime than this design uses. My old one is less efficient, but it still works on my PC. When I upgrade my PC, i'll check this design out again. My old design works well enough, but occasionally one of the pistons doesn't move and it breaks. Easy fix, but that sort of defeats the purpose of automating systems. I wanted to use this system since it is simpler and uses less resources, and without a slime farm, that's a bonus.

@@thebedyt_4653Well, my Bedrock world chain crashed and was unrecoverable, including my saved games, so I am back on Java in a new world. I forgot how much fun a new world can be. I'm not far enough in to have the slime to build this, but I'm going to give this another shot now that I'm back in Java and away from Bedrock.
Question - is there any reason you cannot go past 23 blocks and have a longer farm? I know I'd have to use more rails and such, and likely maybe revamp the hopper cart to two different rails for collections, but besides that, it should work. Not sure if I'm missing any MC mechanics here or not?
