- Drone Show Live UK Viewers Day out to the Lakes, part 1 - although it was the fifth location I filmed of the day - yes editing is not being completed chronologically...
At the highest point of Newland's Pass, between Derwent Water and Buttermere is the stunning Moss Force Waterfalls, a series of spectacular falls, cascading down like diamonds in the sunlight - prime fayre for the AVATA to have a close in flight up and down!
The second piece of footage is deliberately slowed to 50%. I considered taking it slower, but it would make the video longer.
Drones - 'Monster Midge' - DJI AIR3 + 'Demon Midge' - DJI AVATA
Edited using - DaVinci Resolve 18

Kudos has to be given for finding that place to sit!!! Lovely views everywhere..
Lol, I sat at the side of the road to fly it, ha great VLOS all the time for my spotter, who was slightly higher up... Just had to watch out for sheep poo on the grass ;)
Loving Demon Midge’s flights 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Jaq, it was a great place to fly... You would love flying there...
@@albiondrones defo! It looks beautiful 🤩
@@BaqPaqJaq about 2 hrs from Manchetser... could be a roadshow location for Xmastime...
Great flight, so close over the water through the "Canyon ", just great
Thanks, it is an amazing place to fly, just glad it was still enough to let me fly so close in...
Brilliant, and that’s the reason I have ordered the Avata 2 , fantastic flying. Stunning 🤩
Thanks... Glad you have taken the plunge, you will love it, take time to practice and get used to it though, happy to come and meet up and have a fly, just holler :)
Fabulous flying Suzanne. You did a fantastic job capturing its full beauty 😍 love it. ❤️
Thanks Yvonne, I am sure you would have done as good if not better a job had the AVATA2 been with you there...
Awesome opening scene 🎬 😊
Thanks, only a 1min 20 opening shot, and given the fact that 3 hrs earlier the AVATA was half submerged I don't think it faired too badly :)
Stunning loved the movement of the water the lighting was brilliant
Thank you very much!
Very nice video Sue and I must say that I like the perspectives of this wterfall from the Avata. 👌🤩👌
Many thanks Patrick, I flew it first with the AIR3, but it was begging for an AVATA flight, and even a soggy AVATA managed with no problems...
Brilliant
Thank you :)

Well done, great flying 👏👏👏
Thank you kindy... it was a fun location and pretty perfect weather :)
Beautiful 😍
Thank you...
Awsome journey up the falls. Took ages for me to get up there and you did it in less than 4 mins. 😂😂 Great flying matey. 👏👏
Thanks Colin, it was a great place to fly, and the everything came together for a great flight :)
Awesome video.
Thanks Colin :)
Awesome video
Thank you :)
Very nicely done 👍🏻
Thanks Mark, appreciated...
That was awesome filming Suzanne. Start to finish. The Lakes are one of my passions and I loved it. 🥰
@@DocColVideo thanks matey... I flew it with the AIR3, but then just had to send the AVATA, flew up 4 times, and used the 2nd one for the main footage and the final one for the faster flight slowed to 50% with Optical flow to slow the water down, amazing place to fly :)
Yes, The coming down scenes have the better light. The Air 3 shot at the end is spectacular
Thank you, it was fun to fly both directions, I did it 4 times in about 10 mins of flying...
Brill
Thanks... the whole day was brill...
Nicely done! Beautiful spot and video. Curious, other than the final sequence, is the rest of the footage from the Avata? And were you using head tracking to get the downward angle? Again very well done 👍
Thanks... Yes, all from the AVATA apart from the very last sequence. I was using the MC and no head tracking, but I did use the hat button on top of the MC to increase and decrease the rate of climb... TBH it was an awesome place to fly, and the weather was pretty much perfect, without too many people around, allowing me to fly it 4 times, the first fly up and down was the 2nd fly, the slomo version was the 3rd flight...
