@@yyy-zn6xu meh... they did more than enough in the Philippines episode. They researched well and we even got to see Ken and Barbs' bromance in the episode. Can't complain...
@@newtype5005 even barbs said it.. that they did not prepare much for this episode.. and we can see that it is true.. the most important fact for the flag of our country and they missed it.. it is more relevant than bringing up the news about star city burned down.. not to mention the list of errors in the Philippine episode.. like its supposed to be Metro Manila and not Manila Metro; and Laguna de Bay and not Laguna dabai; the "kumakai kamay", it should only be kamayan.. but if he translates "eating with hands", it should be "kumakain ng nakakamay".. and i dont know where did they get the info about Pres duterte making some laws which leads to many people being killed.. Pres duterte didn't make such laws.. the laws are already there and ken is right that not much of implementation for decades.. that's the only thing he did, impose the laws.. that's politics anyways so expect different opinions.. another thing is the pan-philippine highway.. they said it like all islands are connected through tunnels.. that's not true.. there are roros which are ferries that can carry vehicles along the path in the video.. and in demographics, where they separated cebuano from bisaya.. like bisaya is the main trunk of a tree and then cebuano is one of its branch.. so i disagree with you that they researched well.. i dont know know who is the editor of the Philippine episode but thats the best quality i ever seen since the started the channel.. and for the pronunciation, its normal they cant pronounce everything right so im fine with it.. but the rest of the facts? That is not a good research.. btw, im only listing everything down to justify myself that if they did research, i think they failed majority of this episode but i still like it.. i always love channels promoting our country like the way they did.. i watched their videos since 3yrs ago.. maybe i set my expectations so high since im a fan..

I only consider myself as South east asian. Cant relate to just Asian.. For me Asian refers to the Posh Asia like Japan, South Korea and China.
EyeZee Mix how about Pacific Islanders
*Asia duh. Stop associating yourselves with Latinos. You're not latino. Only wannabe. Having spanish surnames doesnt mean you have spanish blood. Your surnames was just picked by your great great great grandparents when the spanish priests ordered all filipinos to have surnames for taxation and control*

The best flag/fan friday EVER
Not really.. :( they missed one unique feature about our flag.. because when you flip our flag (crimson red is above and royal blue below) it means our country is in a state of war.. to think that barbs didn't prepare for this episode :(
@@yyy-zn6xu meh... they did more than enough in the Philippines episode.
@@yyy-zn6xu Jesus Christ. At least they made the video
And and and.... Manila was almost conquered by pirates!
And also Japanese Rounins
Every Mexican on Earth has a frame of " the last supper of Christ " In there eating room 😂 or w.e u call it lol
Because Mexicanos and Pilipinos are brothers
THE MEANING OF RED BLUE ND WHITE IN THE FLAG IS INCORRECT. THAT'S WHAT ELEMENTARY TEACHERS TAUGHT US AND PRIMARY SOURCES SAY OTHERWISE.
Hey I'm from a small hamlet in Texas. Our town only has a population of 12k. And our high school geography teacher is using your videos to help us learn about the territories and provinces of Canada. I love your channel and you are pretty well known in the U.S. Let alone the rest of the world
This video was great even if unscripted. You and Ken are perfect foils for each other. Too bad about the t shirt being oversized: perhaps, you could put the sizes of each of you in your intro as a gift giver would appreciate giving you something you can actually wear. Ken - you really should learn Tagalog, its too important a part of your heritage to omit. It will endear you more to your audience. Cheers guys and gals.
1:58 Its also a Chinese thing, at least for Cantonese Chinese. IDK about people from Mandarin areas
Ian Cypes Except we HKers have many more different brands and forms of that. It can be in oil form, cream form, gel form or even stick-on bandage form.
Fun fact: when you flip the Philippine flag red over blue it means that the country is in state of war.
Kinda surprised you did not mention that. You also used the unofficial seal of Bangsamoro.
Yeah, I just watched the Philippine Video yesterday and 1st I noticed is the misspelled Christmas. Thanks for posting this as a follow-up. I LOVE THIS EPISODE.

The Filipina PhD student that sent you the letter was my college friend :)) I confirmed. What are the odds :))
0:13 it's ok, i feel you.
It's Ken and Barbie *cough* I mean Ken and Barby!
1:22 In the province if you don't have a Tupperware or any rigid plastic food container you just wrap it in a fresh clean banana leaves and tie it. The food smells really good specially if you put the specially the rice hot or newly cooked. Banana leaves are like aluminum foil in the province.
Hello Barb and team. You are a very smart and funny person. Thanks for featuring the Philippines. I had fun.
Oh, Ken's so adorable 😍
The Philippine flag can be flipped also and gives a different meaning. The blue should be on the top (if placed horizontally) or at the left (if placed vertically) as a sign of peace. If reverse (blue at bottom and or at right) means that the country is at war
"How hard can it be"
Tries pronouncing Tagalog
