Swapping between soldiers halfway across the map was so awesome to me back then. Imagine doing that in a game now.

TheycallmeNade So do Iabout ( a year or two ago I tried to get *all the COD games, but gave up before I got to the phone versions and lost interest around the beginning of 2016, which is one reason I don't have IW yet). I thought it was decent for a PS2 game, but it's still a game you would never suspect was on the PS2 if you didn't specifically look it up.
*A COD game is one with its own campaign, I don't count ports as different games if they have the same campaign (hence why I have both the 360 and PS2 versions of WAW), and I also only was doing it for consoles I owned. I had BO1 on the DS at one point, but I sold my DS before I started seriously collecting.
RRW i would have given up too. Thats a lot of fucking games to collect. I have almost all of the main line of games though

Akari No, it's for all missions. Played this game all the time when I was a kid. Fun feature.
This could work well with you being the leader of a platoon or something, so the main character is still there
taking all things into consideration, this game isn't actually that bad
definitely! it's a PS2 game and even then it's pretty good it's not on battlefront ll's level tho

GTA Chinatown Wars on the DS was actually an incredible game, and was canon to the GTA Universe of games, and probably one of the best games ever made for the system, i highly recommend it, as it's seriously addictive, and has a surprising amount of endgame activities.

The new "battlefield" on the PS4 is called Battlefield 1...inexplicably
Then this is battlefield 2 on the ps2, so the next one I'll be battlefield 3 on a earlier generation, ps1
So battlefield 4 will be on the playstation 1/2 = 0.5
Not funny when others have to explain it though.

I remember playing BF2 on the PC all the time as a kid. So many memories, and the graphics felt like real life to me.

The one outlyer I have found with that is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2. The PS2 version looks better then even the PC version. The physics are totally different too, along with some of the track designs. For some reason EA decided to outsource the development of the game to a different studio for the PC/X-Box/GameCube version, and they did a poor job compared to the PS2 team.

I remember buying this back in the day and dreaming of its solo gameplay being identical to bf2, still played it a lot though. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Technically speaking, you can patch out the DNAS requirement from PS2 games and if this game has any LAN or master server running for it, you could play online.
I fixed NFSU on PS2 to work without DNAS and you can play with PC servers. (since they used the same lobbies even back in the day)

@@Valrax You can, yes, it's crossplay. As for people online you need to find a server or find a Discord group where they play the game. The official ones are long gone.

My favorite thing about Battlefield 2 was how there were no main characters. I LOVED how everyone was just a soldier. I wish this game mechanic was still used in some modern FPS.

I played a lot of BF2 on PS2 back when it was released and really liked it. Kind of want to play it again some day.

reminds me of Enemy territory Quake Wars for the PS3, the campaign was like this.
Use to play this game quite a lot on PS2. My only favorite single player BF game til this day. It's a singleplayer Battlefield experience with a unique soldier swapping mechanic, nothing anyone can really complain about.
I remember when I had my ps2 this was my favorite game to play.

this was the first bf I played. I actually connected my ps2 to the modem and played online! I had a blast! there were surprisingly a good amount of servers. (And yes it even came with a server browser.) This game introduced me to the battlefield universe. RIP.

You can play BF2:MC online, you just need the thingamajig that lets you play games online. (Something like PSVX).

Legend Does Destiny On know that, there's this thing that I can't remember the name of (You'll probably see it in the description of someone playing a PS2 game online, saying how they played) that allows you to play PS2 games online, I have the website for it in my favourites, it only supports games they add for it to work with, I know it includes BF2:MC and SOCOM 1 and 2 (Not sure about 3).
