      @@AmmoniummetavanadateYou’re deranged. “Kids” very, very rarely ever get those kind of surgeries you’re referencing and only ever are allowed when they are considered an extreme risk to themselves and go through multiple specialists.
      Also when you look at regret rates for surgeries, many life-saving surgeries, knee surgery and plastic surgeries all of these have extremely high regret rates. 70%+. The regret rates for trans people after receiving gender affirming care are among the lowest of all procedures, most meta analysis’ finding it to be around 0.1%. In other words, you’re fearmongering over something with a 99.9% success rate.

    I do feel bad for a lot of the people who get botched surgeries in the face. I get that they got themselves into that situation to begin with, but imagine going through that and looking at yourself in the mirror when it's done, only to see that whatever beauty you had is officially gone and is unlikely to come back. Thankfully it ended up working out since I wanted top surgery anyway (tried the lesser options first just to make sure) and the weird skin was removed then, but I got botched on my second reduction… The surgery was done while I was awake in the office (they have a little surgical room there), so maybe he just couldn’t do as much as he could’ve if I was fully under instead of sedated… I love my surgeon and the other surgeries he’s done have been fantastic, but it really is demoralizing to look in the mirror after going through so much pain, healing, and money spent just to see that not only did you not get the result you wanted, you essentially earned yourself a deformity you didn’t have naturally.
      TLDR; yes, I’ve experienced getting a botched surgery and it sucks

    My mum has had a few plastic surgery treatments, I remember going to Brussels as a kid (about 7/8) so my mum could get a tummy tuck. That very night I remember being woken up by my parents and the hotel bed my parents were in were COVERED in blood, she had to go to get medical help and my stepdad took me into the city to walk around, probably so I didn’t have to see anymore. She also had breast surgery and it’s really hard like the watermelon ladies, it’s not as obvious she has had work done until you hug her. She also had cancer from excessive sunbed use (which she still goes too regularly), sometimes no matter how much danger people may be in with plastic surgery it doesn’t matter, needless to say I grew up with intense body issues😅

Most likely getting much of your booba taken, some chemo here and there, but eventually you're able to come out on top and survive the endure. It was that or laying on a heating pad every night in tears. By the time I got my reduction at 23 I was an E cup. I weighed myself before going to the hospital and the morning after. I lost 3.8 lbs and that’s without taking into account how swollen I was. Even then I was still a D cup. I didn’t feel weighed down anymore. I could wear cute bras and tops and actually exercise. I would do it again with no hesitation. My plastic surgeon changed my life.

She was the same as you, about 5’ tall and wore two bras and sometimes two shirts. She really struggled in bootcamp cuz there was a lot of running, and she’d always get yelled at for not doing pushups properly since her breasts kept her from being able to press all the way down. I saw her after her surgery and she was so much happier, plus she was a lot skinnier than I thought she was, as her breasts and all the extra layers she wore previously made her appear heavier.

    I loved this video. I work in cosmetics and I'm fascinated by plastic surgery, and love researching procedures, precautions, and the ways in which it can go wrong. Dr. Gary Linkov's videos are my favorite, but I do enjoy watching people get help for reconstructive surgery on Botched and Skin Perfection too. The show Plastic Surgery Undressed on Roku is actually the craziest/most graphic, but with a purpose. It shows the surgery candidates exactly what happens in the operating room and it can be shocking for some. Any surgery has real risks.

    Plastic surgery might be a temporary fix, but it won’t address the real issues underneath. It can really mess with your head when you succumb to the pressure to look perfect in the society the glorifies physical appearance. When you’re trying to look perfect, you’ll only be met with the reality of disappointment.

    Excessive plastic surgery and body modification in general are things that genuinely terrify me, from both the impact side effects can have and the social ethics of it.
    Like, the idea of people using medical advancements, typically made with the intention of helping people who actually need it due to birth defects and genuine health conditions, to just completely reshape and rebuild themselves... idk, It just gives off dystopian vibes. Feels like some _Brave New World_ kinda stuff.
    I'm all for allowing freedom to chose, but I think it's something that society shouldn't openly condone or encourage.

    • @Ihelpertricks
      @Ihelpertricks 10 месяцев назад +7

      I think it really depends. The bigger issue imo is that people are getting these surgeries based on what society is telling them is beautiful. Which regularly changes. I think tattoos are dope because they offer individuality and expression. Other things like piercings can be used in a similar way, or even other body mods. But getting some intense surgery because the guy or girl you like is into it, just for that thing to change socially later seems mad unhealthy. Just because some surgeries can be undone doesn't mean you should do them willy nilly

    • @differentbutsimilar7893
      @differentbutsimilar7893 10 месяцев назад +7

      It does brush against the creepy sort of transhumanism... this whole idea of changing yourself to become an improved specimen, a borrowed facsimile of youth and cultural beauty ideals.
      I mean, I guess there's two sides to it. There's making changes to yourself to express on the outside, what you feel on the inside. Clothes and makeup are really no different. We change our 'base' appearance to something that better matches our inner perspective. But that is to say, I agree with the other commenter that it really most runs afoul when the reason for making the changes is to meet an external standard. That is damaging. I guess the question is, what are you thinking beforehand? Is it, "I'm not looking my best self, what I see in the mirror isn't congruent with how I see myself and so I'm going to explore ways of making those things better meet." ? Or is it more like... "I don't look good enough for other people, nobody could ever like this or that feature."
      I think the latter outlook is pure poison a lot of the time. It's the difference between you personally just not liking your nose, and only wanting to change your nose because you're afraid other people won't like the one you have. With the former, one adjustment probably changes everything for you, you finally have a visage that better matches your spirit. With the latter, no adjustments can ever be enough.

      @warbossgegguz679 10 месяцев назад +4

      @@Ihelpertricks I mean, like I said I'm not against people having the ability to choose, but it's more I just feel like it's kind of a slippery slope. I mean, the stats in this video kind of demonstrate that: the better the techniques and tech gets, the more people do it. And slowly, what seems absurd and weird becomes normal or even enviable. I'm not like someone who's always aboard the "slippery slope" bandwagon, nor am I into "body positivity" since the latter is being used to justify unhealthy habits more than anything else lately, but when it's treating something as deep as the literal human form in such a disposable manner I do think it's worth being a bit more concerned about.
      And seeing the way tech is advancing and people genuinely trying to make computer neural implants and cosmetic cybernetics real, I think it's something we should try to course-correct before we turn cyberpunk and/or system shock into a reality. I'm EXTREMELY misanthropic but even this is something I would like to be avoided.

So insurance decided that my back pain can't be proven to just be my breast saying I would have back pain anyway so I was denied coverage for a "cosmetic" surgery. Bruh...
    I was almost heavily inconvenienced for getting a tube put in my ear cause, I also have chronic ear infections because I'm "overweight" and the closer facility doesn't have the proper room to deal with the complications overweight people could possibly have while put under. Luckily the doctor could see I'm not big, it's just over 10% of my body weight is boob! So he fought for me to get the surgery there and not 2 hours away at the main hospital he worked at. Perfect C cups. They looked big for her having a small figure. She just wanted them bigger. As much as me and her friends and family said she didn't need them. She got implants. The surgeons did a good job, but they just looked so unnatural for her having a small body frame. Years later I seen her posting pics after getting more surgery.
