Thank you for showing us the supermarket. China's supermarkets are so well stock that you are spoilt for choice. 11:41 This rice cracker is a very traditional snack for kids dating back 30 years. When I was a kid in the 1990s, it's the most popular snack. And I think the price never rises for 30years.❤
The first thing that you had is called a "wang wang snow cracker" it's a rice cracker with some royal icing bits on top....there is also a savory version that's more of an oblong shaped. It's a childhood staple...like i think this and white rabbit candy....even for chinese kids born overseas....(wang wang is the brand....the logo is that little kid on the front)
The packaged bread you had....on the front saids it's "naturally fermented" so I presume that it just means they might use a starter or they give the dough a longer amount of time to rise instead of using rapid rise yeast
the sticks pretzel things you had are pocky (yep! normally they are plain with chocolate but now they have all sorts of favors!) if you go to a big supermarket they will have a whole section of them....great for souvenirs!
One snack I would recommend is sunflower seeds.....my mom was eating them and I was kinda hatin' but then I had one and I couldn't stop......she got these caramel favors ones......焦糖葵花籽 .....a good one to bring home esp if you are hanging out with family during the holidays cuz for chinese peeps....it's like a sit around chit chat kinda snack (with beers)
