    Absolutely love the ping g425 max driver that I got a couple months ago. Doesn’t sound good like you were saying but hard to knock off points when you hit almost every fairway. If you look at the old 425 ads, it has 10k moi just like the new 430 max 10k. I finally broke down and bought one and I don’t feel like I’ll have to upgrade drivers for 10+ years

      That's what I've heard, I've heard that that ping driver is the real deal when it comes to accuracy. That's such an amazing help to so many golfers if they can afford it.

    For the money, that driver was one of the best values I ever hit. Bought one shipped for about $140 back in 2022. Can't beat that price! For me, that driver just wanted to go straight. Mizuno STX 230 is my gamer now. Just gave me more carry due to better launch and spin numbers. Shaft is the key on any driver. Not just flex but weight and kick points. 3 stiff flex could have 3 totally different numbers. Match up launch, spin and the carry will be there. My STX-230 now has a regular flex Ascent shaft. It is a butt and mid section stiffer but kick point is softer. My DSS is 98-102. I trusted the fitter and it has gained me 6-8 carry yards.

    I think you could run that driver head, just change your shaft. The shaft or ball is the culprit of the spinny floater shot, not the head. I got a PXG 0811 this year and Im absolutely loving it. It is hands down the most forgiving driver ive ever hit, and it has the exact same dull muted sound.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  3 месяца назад

      I thought about that, I do have a question though, with the shaft be the culprit also of loss of ball speed?

      @@GolfBallAddict meh, not likely a large contribution, but if you knock the spin down youd carry +10 more yards and be in the fairway... Could always play a slightly faster ball too.

    I highly recommend Mizuno ST-G 220 (9*). It has the fully adjustable weights and I can set it to 11* which closes face and still hit fades by setting weights to fade (my miss is pull hook naturally). I hate loud and it's not that loud outside. I paid $230 shipped new with Hzrds Blue in early 2023. eBay listing for head only is $90+$11 right now. (Also $190 new with shaft.) Get that and sell the X...you can set it to draw when you want that.
    I play Srixon Z-star Divide b/c I tend to spin driver below 2000. I think you would like this driver a lot with Q-stars...smash factor in the 1.45 range with 15* and 2000 and your carry will be more than the total on the PXG.
    I used my previous non adjustable driver for over 10 years and it still is at the legal COR limit...I don't believe there is that much to be gained dropping $$$ on new drivers.

    I game PXG irons, driver and 3-wood. Recently upgraded to the Gen 6 XF driver/3-wood from the Gen 4 and am really loving the forgiveness, accuracy, feel and sound.
    And the Gen 6 equipment was all reviewed very very well when it was released two years ago. Now that PXG has released a new driver line, Gen 6 drivers can be had for $450. I have it set up for draw-bias and it is unbelievable the yardage and accuracy I get on mis-hits off the toe and heel. Can't recommend enough.
    Got fitted for all of it, which was both fun and super super helpful in getting the most out of the gear.
    Good luck with the 0211! It's a great club for a great price.

      Awesome stuff. I have heard the pxg experience is pretty amazing

    • @stevenagy9441
      @stevenagy9441 3 месяца назад +2

      It really is. Currently, it's $25 to get fit and that fee is applied to your purchase, if you buy the club.
      With the adjustable weights in a Gen6 driver, the choices of stock shafts and the adjustable sleeve that the 0211 doesn't have, you're going to see a big upgrade in performance beyond the older 0211, especially.
      Plus, the dynamic loft of the 0211 is really set up to get the ball in the air, so it's going to balloon, thus less rollout.
      If you have a military or background as a first-responder, you can get a Gen6 driver for $350. Also, since you're an influencer, you may also be given a discount. PXG has partnered with quite few online reviewers who make independent content, so I would definitely look into it.
      Good luck!

    I agree about fitting. I've already shaved about 6 strokes consistently after my fitted purchase, but there is still a ton of work for me to do. However, it is nice knowing that when i do step up to the next level as a golfer, my driver will still be more capable than me. I have had my eye on the paradym since it came out and I picked that up at a large discount thanks to the Smoke. If i hadn't gone that route i would be looking at the overlooked brands for a driver. Like Wilson, Srixon, or Tour Edge Exotics. I also found that i hit the Stealth line pretty well. You may also consider the Cobra Areojet since their whole claim with that driver was club head/ ball speed gains.

    The same thing happened to me when I went to Mizuno to get fitted. I had hit my friends Mizuno Pro 221 pretty well I wanted to get new irons. I figured the Pro 221 would be the best I could do but likely get the JPX line. I got so nervous and hit the ball so inconsistenly that they told me I would be suited for the hybrid irons.

      It's such an anxiety overload. Especially when you start hitting them bad.
      You try to tell them that you don't normally play this bad, but they hear that a hundred times a day and you can tell by the look on their face.

      @@GolfBallAddict I don't know if you have a PXG location down near you but I had a MUCH better experience with my PXG fitting. At the beginning, the guy basically left me alone for like 5-6 minutes to hit balls by myself. I was able to get dialed in to my normal strikes and then called him back in. There was way less pressure to hit the ball correctly right out of the gate. Although most of my stuff is Callaway, I would take PXG irons over any other irons (except for my Callaway Forged Epic irons that in the bag now.) I think they are going to bring out a next 0211 driver at the end of this year (based on them selling off all their current stock) so maybe wait until they bring it out and drop the price on the current drivers and get fitted at PXG.

    However yesterday I grabbed a Demo Ping G430 10k at 9* and took it on the course. I gained about 10 yards but I had heard that it was fade biased and sure enough it did or at least seemed to. Might want to demo it as well as the Qi 10. Unfortunately they are both pricy.
