A very comprehensive and unbiased balanced view. Although I dont agree with his view on the reading of Article 46 in the context of EWS. Article 46 says "to promote the educational and economic interests of the weaker sections of the society so that they arent subject to social (discrimination)". Here the focus is on the weaker sections. The question arises weaker in what sense. Cannot be physical or mental or the like. It then naturally goes back to what it seeks to promote. Education and economic. They are the tools for avoiding social discrimination. So the yardstick is to see who is weaker educationally and economically and promote those interests for such people! By that logic, EWS perfectly fits well with Article 46.
EWS reservation need to be closed down as ceiling limit is 8 lakhs while BPL in India live under 2 dollar a day, so that ceiling and cover should go to each category and poverty should be the gauging scale .

Unless casteism is experienced, such person is not qualified ethically to comment on the caste-based reservation of the SC-ST as well as collective backward classes. It is very naive to believe that any government can exercise the power to take away a privilege given to a majority. Reservations were a privilege given to the under privileged to right a historical wrong. It is very natural that when these privileges are extended for more than a generation they are accepted as a right. In 1963 itself Supreme Court ordered to Delete Creamy Layer from Reservation of Castes. But illfull CONGRESS did not implement

It is very naive to believe that any government can exercise the power to take away a privilege given to a majority. Reservations were a privilege given to the under privileged to right a historical wrong. It is very natural that when these privileges are extended for more than a generation they are accepted as a right. Unless there is a conscience from within that pushes a change it is not going to happen. The reservations systems has and will create a new privileged class in the society who will not be willing to give away that privilege.
