Nezhat, I believe that as long as you are alive, you can improve. I had a 60 year old school teacher who had worn glasses from age 11 and bifocals from age 19. After two months in my yoga classes, she no longer needed glasses. Most impressive was an 83 year old lady who discarded her glasses. At age 89 she wrote me that she could still read one book a week, read 10 magazines a month and drive her auto without glasses. I wish you success and Namasté, Norman
I suffered a Severe Trauma last year do to Domestic Assault, Your Yoga Moves are healing my eyes and neck! Thank you so much, You are a Blessing from God
Mellissa White Consider adding this Prayer/Affirmation to your practice for even greater results: "Heavenly Father, Thou Art Present in all my body parts. They are perfect for Thy Healing Light Is There. Heavenly Father, Thou Art Present in my eyes and neck and _____. They are perfect for Thou Art Perfect." You can't overdo this. The more you pray and affirm like this the faster your Self-Healing. You are welcome to get more free help on my website listed above under the video. Please let me know if I may help you further. Mellissa, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. When we share like this, we help to inspire and encourage others on their way to Self-Healing. God's Love & Blessings for you and Namasté, Norman
Thank you so much Mr. Norman for answering so quick. I just ordered one of the bates method books. And I am also going to work on no glasses because I know that they make u worse by my own experience. I left eye is blurry but I have faith that it will get better both of them. I am not getting shots in my eyes that's crazy.....thank you again.
+Janet Newbill Attitude is everything and you have a good attitude so I am sure you will succeed. RELAX and HEAL is the yoga way. Dr. Bate's method will certainly help you as will Meir Schneider's "Yoga for the Eyes Video" and his other work. Then practice yoga for your whole body since everything is connected. Yoga will help you to realize the tremendous healing power that is already within you. Please let me know if you have more questions or if I may help you further. Love & Blessings, Norman
Mr. Norman guess what I went for my eye examine a follow up my eyes have improved and they are like they were in 2014 that's makes me so happy. So if part of it has got better then the rest can. I refused those shots he wanted me to take. I am rejoicing today. Thanks I still have a long way because I'm ditching my eye glasses. Gradually anyway.thanks......
+Janet Newbill Thank you so very much for this positive feedback, which will inspire many others. One of the biggest obstacles to self-healing with yoga is that we have been taught that most conditions cannot be reversed. The truth of the matter is the body is a self-healing organism. We need to understand that, cooperate with it, and then practice yoga to heal ourselves. May you be blessed with great success, Norman
Dear Sir Norman, You're a true inspiration. Please tell me should I do anything more than these for my eyes? I've seen techniques such as trying to fix the distance with thumb and an object at distance, etc. I am almost 60, in moderately good health. Diet is also good compared to most people. I am familiar with some yoga, breathings, etc. I will talk about your DVD and getting one, etc., separately. Lately, I tried to get into Bates Method and there are long exercises that I am afraid of not being able to do them regularly (not for time but for lack of motivation). Your approach however seems very reassuring, So I wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, I will have to see the doctor for newer glasses to go on with my daily life. Up until now, all I ever needed was reading glasses (specifically for computers) and now I'm having blurred vision for distance as well. Hence I started doing acupressure exercises to reduce eye pressure and some relief and then some yoga for eyes and landed on your video. Other than this clip, you do not have any video on eyesights, do you? How many times a day and for how long should I do each of your techniques? Or just doing with you here fine? Any tips on how to handle eye glasses while doing eye exercises to improve my sight? I will not be using them to do the exercises. Thanks very much. God bless.
+Fawzia Begum RELAX & HEAL. Let this be your goal. Keep it simple in the beginning. Just do this video clip until you become very familiar with it. Then add my RUclips videos for the neck and and for the arms, shoulders, etc. as listed with RUclips links under the video to improve circulation and relaxation. Read the "Comments," which on my videos are really "Questions & Answers," to get an idea of how often to practice. Please let me know if you have more questions. Meanwhile, after you become very comfortable with these practices, I will give you more. I wish you great success in your Self-Healing with Yoga, Namasté, Norman
+YogaNorman Thanks very much, sir. I've been doing these with you twice daily. After that I do some acupressure, massage to finish it off especially in the night. I also do relaxation meditation some other time with music and lying down with two slices of cucumber on my eyes and I find it relaxes my eyes. I will soon be starting neck, shoulders, etc. Namaste.
+Fawzia Begum I am happy that you are practicing these techniques. Now it would be good to add the "palming" that I explain on this video. Try to take some breaks frequently to "palm" and rest and refresh your eyes. You can practice 'palming" for longer periods to heal and strengthen your eyes. The more that you work on a computer, the more you will need to "palm." Also, try to spend more time outdoors, just enjoying nature with your eyes seeing in a very relaxed way. Meanwhile, I will answer your blood pressure questions in more detail where you asked them on "How to Reverse the Negative Effects of Working on a Computer" on my slyoga.com website. Blessings, Norm
+YogaNorman Thanks very much sir. Yes, I've started doing palming frequently by taking eyes off computer and doing it with some breathing. I also look away through my window where there is a tree and some grass and I look there for a few seconds. Namaste.
+YogaNorman Sir, I hate to be a nuisance. I've started doing this may be for 3 weeks and in the beginning it felt great. For the last two days I'm feeling heaviness in the eyes especially when trying to move my eyes around for the exercise. Some dry eye symptoms also for which I've done different things to get a relief, but the heaviness is there. I was under the impression that doing this exercise regularly will show me some improvements such as feeling good for now at least and not have other (newer) discomfort. I do massages and cucumber, tea bags, etc. and yesterday had to do some warm compress for eye irritations. You can see, I've some fear of the unknown, so a few words of explanation may put my mind to ease. Thank you and Namaste.
thank you so much for your helpful video...is there any approximate periode of time to improve the eye vision an eye especialist told me because i am sixty years old ,eye exercises can not help me...
You are very welcome. You mentioned that you were "...straining for focus and clarity." What will help you the most when you are having trouble seeing clearly is to learn to relax more. Just the opposite of what you were doing. This is all Yoga so the same principles apply. "Where there is strain there is no Yoga. Where strain begins, Yoga ends." Also, my RUclips video "Heal Your Neck Now!" can help you, as well as more free stuff on my website listed right above. Namasté, Norm
As long as you do not try to force progress and practice in a relaxed way, the more frequently you practice the better. Since practiced correctly these movements will improve circulation, energy, and healing of the eyes, your eyes will not feel tired or strained from the practice. "Palming," as I explain at the 6 minute place on the video, is one of the easiest, yet most healing things you can do for your eyes. Feel free to let me know if you have more questions. Namasté, Norman
As long as you are not trying to force progress, and practice in a relaxed way, the more frequently you practice the better you will feel, and the faster you will get results. Yoga is more like learning to type or play a musical instrument, You should not practice as you might to get in shape for athletic competition, where you are exhausted with sore muscles after. See the comments to andreagurrl below Thank you for giving me this opportunity to serve you, Namasté, Norm
Denmark Wayne Put the palms over your eyes so that no light comes through. Then close your eyes and keep them closed the whole time you are palming. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Namasté, Norm
+Nitika Deswal Since tension is at the basis of eye problems, the relaxation that you learn with these exercises help you to relax your eye muscles and your vision improves. Practice with my "Heal Your Neck Now! with YogaNorman" video to improve circulation to your eyes and learn more about self-healing with yoga. If you read all the comments with these two videos, you will be inspired at that same time that you learn more about healing yourself. Please let me know if you have more questions. I wish you success. Namasté............Norman
+YogaNorman sir i am performing this healing exercise four times a day ,7 am , 12pm, 4pm and then 7pm ; 1 hour each. Will it cause harm to my eyes? i am doing so as my power is -4.5D , i want go restore vision within 3 months.
+Nitika Deswal The fastest progress in yoga comes slowly. You need to be gentle, relaxed, and Patient. If you push, force, hurry, and strain, you will slow your progress. At the end of a session you should feel more relaxed with more energy than you did at the beginning. Think: RELAX & HEAL.
