Well done Brendan! You and your wife are troopers! I felt dead hitting 4 countries in 2 weeks last year, let alone 9! I’ve redeemed a ton of capital one miles for an upcoming trip in may. Love everything you guys do!
Trying to juggle all these cards, transfer portals etc would give me a massive headache. Plus how much do they spend each month to get all these points? The sign up bonuses eventually run out, they don’t renew every year
I’ll feel like the videos are double-dipping a bit on costs. You’re saving $300 on the credit card fee with the statement credit in other videos, but then you’re saving the same $300 on a hotel stay.
Because your flight was delayed you should be able to claim compensation (if it was in the airlines control), even if you paid with points. It’s an EU law for any flight leaving/arriving in Europe.
Thank you for putting in that notation of spending $4k on food and fun, which I'm sure you used the appropiate cards on to best earn yet more miles and points. As the saying goes, one must spend money to make money. That would actually be a cool video to see, how many points did you earn back FROM that $4k in spending! 🤔🤔 No doubt it doesn't recoup your 473k point outlay, but I'd be curious to know what percentage it did truly.
Interesting video but I wish you'd stop saying bookings with miles and points are "free". Points and miles have a cost. And an opportunity cost. Also, it's not super helpful leading your viewers to think 2 cent per point redemptions are a good value. Why settle for that when you just showed you can get 6cpp or even more?
Free $300 travel credit when you paid $300 for a travel credit isn’t free. Just saying. Love the tips but seen too many sucked into these ideas of travel for free. You can earn the most points when you spend a bunch (aka owning a business).
Haha fair question!:) My wife and I own our own video production business making all kinds online content including these Daily Drop videos plus we love to travel so it’s a little work and a little play. Hope this helps!
What brand backpack is your wife wearing? Looking for one to travel to Europe in a few months. Hey video idea! How to travel without checked in bags. 😀
@@DailyDrop do the video. 😆 I see. Amazon has tons of options. For a personal item international max dimensions backpack it’s hard to find. But hers seems bigger. Maybe it was the carryon and not a personal item.
We actually live closer to BWI as our home airport, but if it makes sense to get the best points redemption for a flight, we will fly out of IAD like we did in this example. We use the Venture X for many other reasons, but lounge access is definitely a perk of having the card!
@@DailyDrop I also live closer to BWI but leverage IAD for most international flights. I have been lucky enough to find good points&cash deals to fly biz out of other airports but will be flying out of Dulles for the first time on a biz ticket. I was wondering if they have priority security like you would find at YUL,YYZ, HND and others.
It might take you a few years to keep earning those points over and over again. But a two weeks luxury vacation to Europe every few years sounds pretty good.
Not a ponzi scheme. It takes a lot of points and a lot of time to figure out how to use those points wisely. It would take me 2 years to save up this many points and i travel overseas every year so i go cheaper hotels and always fly coach to save points.

I love the vibe of this video! Seeing lots of travel hacks being used in real life is super helpful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is such a good video. The quality of filming and editing plus the content. This was very hard work. Kudos 👏🏻
Thank you so much for the very kind comment 🥹 So appreciated & we are so glad that you enjoyed it!

Haha yes, certainly a fast-paced trip but absolutely worth it! What countries did you visit? 🌎 Thanks for the comment & support!
@@DailyDrop we visited portugal Spain France and Italy last year. In a few months we are doing France again, plus Germany and turkey!

We need way more videos like this so easy to follow and learn from. Kudos
So happy to hear this! Thanks for the comment 🤗
Your editing skills 🔥🔥🔥
Oh thank you!
I have been earning points! Thanks for the great tips
Awesome to hear 👏 So glad that we were able to help!
Wow, great video!
Thank you so much 🤗

Thanks for the comment! This is actually something that we are currently in the process of trying to get! 8+ hour delays are never fun 😅

So, a bunch of countries in Europe for 15 days is about 500k points?
Great video and advice as usual. Thank you!!
So glad that you enjoyed it! Thanks for comment 🤗
We should have one Capital One lounge in Boston too?
There isn’t one there now, but would love them to add that!
Your videos look excellent, what camera do you use?
Thanks so much! For vlogging in this video we used the Sony ZV-E1 with a 20-70mm lens. In the studio we use the slightly larger Sony A7IV!
My friend has got 366,000 Hilton which is 183,000 flight points so I think you are the channel that’s helping him with points lol
Wow that is awesome! 👏 We love teaching people how to travel using miles & points!

Yeah, I agree, the repetitive mentioning of "free" feels a bit deceitful. But it's clickbait and get views and referrals
I am being nosy but how do you travel so much? Is it through the daily drop or do you have another job as well?

Her backpack is one from Amazon, so nothing fancy!
Funny you mention that video idea because on this trip, my wife & I packed in only our backpacks 😂

Do you live in the Washington DC area to make the Capital One Venture X a good fit for lounge access?

Can you tell us which backpack your wife used on this trip?
Her backpack is one that she found on Amazon, so nothing fancy :)
Watching you again and it’s occurred to me/you and Nate look very close in resemblance and speech (of Nate and Kara’s channel) so, are you? Related??
Nope, we are not related haha!
Also none of these cards are available to non US citizens
Boohoo
Hello to your wife!
👋 Hello! Thanks for the comment 🤗
Points, points.....Tell people how much purchasing you had to do to get all those points on all the cards.
I'm sure a lot of those points come from referral bonuses. So we are essentially funding his travel so he can keep making content
@LK_EBM actually most of the points come from sign up bonus. That's where you get your the biggest points.
@@mommy2cody6 For regular people, yes. But their referral bonuses earn them even more
Come on who has 473,000 points. Yeah all those sign-up bonuses are great and all but it's not a bottomless well is it.
It might take you a few years to keep earning those points over and over again. But a two weeks luxury vacation to Europe every few years sounds pretty good.
This sounds like a ponzi scheme. Buyer beware
No scheme here! Just using miles & points to travel the world and teach others how to do the same :)
You sound like a ponzy scheme. Commenter beware
Spoken like someone who has no idea what a Ponzi scheme is, and no idea how to use points.
I understand you think this is a SCAM, but please educate yourself on Charles Ponzi for future reference.
