Supra 2.0 - excellent even without 6-sp

The Toyota GR Supra 2.0 may have much less horsepower than its three-litre sibling but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's lighter, uses less fuel and has a price tag that's five figures lower.
This is an update of an earlier review, adding substantial price increases for 2023 and a look at the 2023 GR Supra 3.0 which is now available with a six-speed manual transmission.

I love my 2.0. It's quite powerful (for me). 42 mpg on the freeway. Other owners are recording the same. 10 speakers. Mine has Apple Car Play and Android. The automatic transmission is great and the paddles are quick. Mine is the blue. It's my fountain of youth at age 72. Put a pretty lady in the passenger seat and I'm in diapers. Trunk can handle a big load from Costco. No complaints.

I upgraded to the safety and technology package, premimum sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay, and navigation. It was an extra $3,485. The total was about $47,000. It was worth it for me. The automatic is great. I have never floored it but it does get on the highway very quick at 3/4 of a pedal push.@@thegreat1548

My only complaint would be the poor rearward visibility so I'd get the technology package which includes bind spot alerting. The 2.0 is better balanced than the 3.0 and that 42 highway MPG you cite is another plus. NO diapers for me, however.

You correct. That's why I got the technology package and never have to look out the rear view mirror. The side mirrors (blind spot monitoring) and rear camera take care of any issues from the rearward visibility. Good call.

Hard to say without an A/B comparison, but I can’t recall a huge difference. For me the active suspension is more about handling. Thanks for watching.
