Actually Ron did mention that he had brothers earlier in the show. After Leslie says she shot Ron in the head on the hunting camp, he mentioned watching the Super Bowl with his brothers, but since both Ben and Andy weren’t on that camping trip, it would make sense that they wouldn’t know about that brief mention of Ron’s brothers.
Ron wasn’t really keeping it a secret. He mentioned them TWICE as far as I know. 1) In season when he said he was going to a football game with his brothers I think while talking to Mark. 2) When his brother pranked him by shooting him in the pinky toe with a nail gun.

I swear my dad and his siblings are just like this. There all very stoic and don’t talk much about each other to other people. They by no means hate one another and are always fun when they are all together. They just don’t mention family much around were they work or to colleagues. So everyone is very surprised when they find out my dad has siblings.
I can imagine Ron and his brothers going on a fishing trip where not a single word is said all weekend and all four of them enjoy it immensely.
