4 Ways to make Vinyl Sublimation Stickers! Which way worked best?

Hey everyone, I’m Carolyn from Tranquilmentor
Today we are going to be making sublimation stickers with Oracal 651 vinyl, HTVront clear sublimation vinyl, Scotch thermal laminate, and WalaSub adhesive vinyl sublimation sticker sheets.
We are going to compare some different sticker making techniques and let you know which method is our favorite!
We are going to be using a sublimated design that we made in kittl. If you haven’t tried kittl yet, you should definitely check it out. We’ll leave a link in the description. We are making firefighter union decal with the Maltese cross.

Why not sublimate first and then send the stickers through the Cricut to cut, using the registration marks?

I was having some trouble with the cricut maker reading the registration marks on the walasub sticker paper and the cut was way off, so I have been using that work around.
I don't know if it is a cricut calibration issue on my part or just that the walasub paper is too shiny... I saw a video where they used scotch tape over the top of the registration marks. We will see if that works!

Great video! Did the sublimation ink fade at all since the time it’s been on your vehicle ?
No fading at all! It's impressive! My car is kept out in the driveway in the Florida sun and crazy rain storms and it still looks the same as the day I put it on! Thanks for watching!

Sublimation ink is for outdoor ink use, in jet ink is for indoor use
I just got oracle 651 I thought I could sub right on it no laminated is it possible
did you not know that you do not have to laminate your Oracal 651 to be able to sublimate on it? no do you need to use sublimation vinyl on top.. you can successfully sublimate on Oracal 651 without adding a leyer of anything, you are wasting materials using the laminate and the sublimation vinyl, Oracal 651 works just fine by its self.
Do you use the laminate to protect the transfered image if I'm doing this for a car exterior?
@@suemagruder4455 No, I did not use laminate over the transfered image. But, I have used the clear oracal 651 to protect the transferred image for decals on my car window and it holds up very well. It's not shown in this video, but what I did was made an offset image in cricut design space and cut it out on the cricut vinyl cutter and just put it over the decal on my car window to protect it. This purpose of the video is to TEST four different methods of making vinyl sublimation decals. It's just a test to see what methods may fit each individual's different needs. Some people like the vintage look and some people like the vivid colors of the walasub sublimation vinyl.
