    Omg I needed this video. I was ready to shave my head after 4 months of sisterlocks. My perimeters seem so week I've already lost 1 lock. I combined my locks after alwatching this video and now headed in toward the middle and already see the difference... thank you, thank you thank you...

    Hello!!! Great video 😊 I have had sisterlocks for nearly 2 years now. I started with well over 450 locks. After a year of being locked I decided to start doing them myself and maintaining my own hair. Four months ago I started combining my locks too. I chose this for the long term results. I started out with more then 14 inches of hair and my hair grows fast, so I know the weight would eventually effect my hair negatively down the road. I’m excited that I came across your video. Thank you for sharing.

      This is exactly where I'm at in my journey. I've had my sisterlocks for 2.5 years now and I'm noticing some of my locks are thinning and some have actually broken off. I started with about 10-11 inches and it has grown like a week and in probably midback now. Which means my retie's are slowly taking longer and I just don't have that amount of time to give every 6-7 weeks. Thank yall for sharing

      I’m wanting to combine mine as well. So let me make sure I saw this right. Wait until I have new growth, interlock 2 together and 2 strand twist. How did you keep the ends closed? Thanks!

    Hey there! You did a GREAT JOB on combining your locs! I two strand twisted my locs last April to combine them and I never looked back. I combined mine because when we first shut down it had already been almost 4 months since I had a retie and my locs were starting to thin at the root. At that time I had my sisterlocks for 1 year and some change. Also, I always wanted bigger locs and regret not going with my gut to begin with, so when I combined mine I combined 3-6 at a time - depending on how big or small the locs were. In the back my locs were bigger so I only combined 2 or three at a time. I'm now two years in my loc journey and I LOVE the way my locs look now and how thick and full they are. DO YOU BOO! Your locs are beautiful!!! 👍🏽💕🥰

      hello, i'd like to know how you combined more than two locs together. i have 733 locs bc my hairstylist went without telling me and i only realized after they were done 😔 now i want them bigger but i'm not sure how to combine 3/4 locs together.

  • @Fthaculture

    I’m 7 years and I still have loose ends, my locs never “thickened up” my consultant went off the grid since the pandemic and other consultants were ridiculous with their “transfer fee” and lastly, I don’t like thin locs anymore.
    I am in the process of combining them within the next few weeks.
    The decision to combine them is hard;because of the amount of money I spent ;but I am not happy with my hair journey: so I will keep it moving.

    OMG I love this. I have Sisterlocks too, will be 2 years next month. Last year I 2 strand twisted them twice (same reasons as you) with the intention of combining them because I want to be able to maintain my own hair but both times I got scared and ended up untwisting them. You’re making me want to try it out one last time and fully go through with it.

    It's a good idea. It's a good thing you acted on your instinct, because as you perceived it to be better for your lifestyle, it's an healthy thing to do for yourself. Someone else could have stocked to the mentality of having Sisterlocs with high number of locs which doesn't mean anything at the end of the day.

      Thank you sweetheart but No!!! I don’t regret getting sister Loc’s because this is still one of the best decisions that I’ve made with my hair so far, I can’t begin to tell you how much money and time I have saved in the last six months without having to buy hair Extensions, Hair products or the time I’ve saved not doing my hair & The money that I spent to get my sister Loc’s installed came from my business (My business paid for my hair not me💡) 😂i’m way too frugal to pay that kind of money for a hairstyle so it’s not a personal loss on my end because it’s going be a tax write off for 2020 but the only thing that I do regret is not getting my Loc’s a little larger, but this was a great learning experience...

    Very brave move for you to combine your locs, I admire you for doing what’s best for you & hair & not getting caught up in must have “sister locs” thing. How many did you start with & what you got now? Will you still do 4pt rotation? Also if ends keep unraveling try braiding them it may hold better. Hair looks great thicker you’ll have a nice set of locs eventually 😊🇬🇧

    • @misskeishatheteacher365
      @misskeishatheteacher365  3 года назад +2

      Thank you love ❤️ honestly I have never counted my Loc’s, so to answer your first question I don’t know how many Loc’s I have🤷🏽‍♀️& Yes!!! I am still doing a four-point rotation, I just re-tightened my hair for Christmas & I only had less then 5 Loc’s to unravel and that was only because I washed my hair and I didn’t braid & band so I did experience some unraveling in one section of my hair that was a little uneven, I should be doing an 1 month update soon. So look out for that video..
