In this video I will be telling you how to obtain every Nintendo WFC event from generation 4 which includes Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heartgold and Soulsilver! Please be aware that there are only specific conditions that you may or may not meet in order to obtain these events. I am one of the people who has no way of obtaining these events. In order for this to work, you will need either a router with a WEP key (older model routers typically have these) or an android device that can run a hotspot (iPhone will not work). I apologize that I cannot prove to you that this works like I normally do in my videos but I have neither an older router nor an android device.

I have been getting a lot of comments saying that people have not been able to get this to work. That is because this has a random chance of failing. As long as you follow my steps correctly and you are able to connect to internet, it will work. It may just take a few to a lot of tries for it to not give you a communication error.
Along with that, I have been hearing reports of people getting an error that says, "No gifts found," and I have figured out that it is due to them trying to attempt this in other countries. As far as I know, this works in US and Europe but I am not sure where it works in other places. If you live in a different country and can access these events be sure to reply with it to this comment! As for people who get the "No gifts found" error, I am sorry but it looks like you just cannot do this. I hope this clears up some confusion!

The domiNATION How do you even get the Mystery Gift feature to show up in the starting menu? It only shows the Continue Game, New Game, N WFC settings, and Wii Message settings. No Mystery Gift option.

For those looking to use this for all events, it won't necessarily work. I went into Wifi Connection in the Mystery gift option and it kept giving me duplicates of things I already had (also, Johto trio can be taken three times because there are three identical gifts that have different Pokémon).
I have not seen Manaphy, Mew or Deoxys from the gift, has anyone received any of them from the Exploit? (lemme know, Mew and Deoxyz I have been trying to find since I learned of them)
So I found out something mind blowing to me. The DNS used in this video, it’s connected to gen 4. Now I know that sounds dumb, but I meant a little more than gen 4. Besides platinum, heart gold, and soul silver, I also got access to the ranger net’s six exclusive WiFi missions in ranger guardian signs! I’ve always wanted to play the missions, now I finally can.

This is so LEGIT, AWESOME, and WORTH figuring out how to do. I got all the black, white 2, and soul silver event Pokémon! Never got to receive these when I was a kid cuz I never had WiFi. I’m really happy to finally experience all the in game events. I even ordered platinum to do those events also.

@@dirtmucher hey just saw your comment. I’m not sure how it works for android. I have an iPhone and it took me sometime to figure out how to set up a WEP with no passcode. That being said once it did work I was able to get all the events. I got the legendary dog trio (all shiny), Mew, Celebi, and some special Pokémon from tournaments such as Scizor with a life orb and Crobat.
Just so you know it takes several attempts to get the gifts. Sometimes it will say there’s no connection and others times it will work.
I have soul silver as well as platinum. I know in Platinum I got the azure flute as well as Arceus. Haven’t played through my whole game or checked to see if I can transfer them to home but it for sure works.
Oh and I also got the Special colored Pichu in platinum that activated the spike eared pichu in soul silver.

Thanks a lot for this, I was never able to get darkrai as a kid and it's so cool I can hunt a legitimate shiny one now. Also this definitely works but it took a few hours of messing with my phones settings as well.

Guys a little info, you can transfer darkrai shaymin over the latest games BUT the arceus that you catch with the azure flute cannot be transfered. But There is an arceus that is given with the mystery gift that is legit and can be transfered over the latest games. ( sorry for my english im french)

@@willbraz4336 no you cant there's 2 arceus in platinum, one with the azure flute the other with an event and you can get the event one transfer it to soulsilver and get palkia or dialga when you go to a special place look in the soluce
I did the Azure flute Arceus event on my Japanese diamond. I levelled it up to 100 and made sure it only had one move judgement. I transferred it to gen 5 and it went into Pokémon bank. I tried the same thing with platinum, pearl and it didn’t work. I’m almost ready to try it on my English diamond to see if that works

thank you, this has always been my childhood dream, but when I found out about events i was far too late because back when I played pokemon i was like 8, a couple moths ago i saw a similar tutorial but it wouldn't work and i was very sad, i haven't done this yet because i don't have my ds here but I hope this will work, if so thank you again

@@ThedomiNATION I think you need both a copy of diamond (or it's counterparts) and then heartgold/soulsilver. when you finally get the pichu event, you trade it to heartgold and so on: I've spent a while looking into it

It's also worth saying that this also works in the event mission for the ranger games, like Eruption Heatran or the Manaphy Egg

I did this in pokemon Soulsilver and I got the shiny legendary trio, I could only get Raikou and it wouldn't let me get Suicune and Entei?
This never happened till now, my poke. Diamond always freezes when on the mystery gift section and it says connected before freezing (that little clock logo)

I have a question concerning the gen four event vid? I got to the point where I have located my wep key. I did a connection test and it was fine until I got the "error code: 52000." It also says that it is unable to obtain an IP address. I typed in my routers IP address correctly several times but it says that it is the incorrect address, or something like that. Can some please help me? In the IP address, there are some parts where it is like, this is an example, 129.152.3.4. Do I have to put zeros? Please help!

@@Danorlan06 both yes and no... There's an arceus(level 100) that you can directly recieve from mystery gift, and there's also the azure flute which you can reciev to fight arceus in game at level 80.

I can vouch that this works. It was tricky for a bit but i had to edit both my 3ds internet settings AND my settings on my diamond copy
Also, a WEP router is not the only router option. If you don’t have access to it you can open a guest wifi connection with no password and that will work as well (its what i used)

How does it work when using personal hotspot on iPhones? I don’t have a Mac that do the sharing connect and I don’t have like a older router .
It doesn't. It'll only connect to internet with a wep key or internet without a password. You can set up a guest network without a password to get it to work if you do not have an Android phone
im only getting the lucario doll on diamond with the secondary dns and on my soulsilver it worked no problem. does anyone know how to fix it?
If you get the Member Card/Oak's letter and use them to get Darkrai and Shaymin in Platinum, will they count as legitimate and be able to transfer to Pokemon HOME? Or is it just Action Replay/Void Glitch versions of those Pokemon that count as hacked/illigetimate? (I might have already commented this question on this or another video, but I forget if I did.)
The void glitch ones do not count as legitimate but the member's card and oak's letter ones (from platinum only) count as legitimate.

Hey so if anybody here is available to answer a question I have? I had everything lined up I have an Android phone with its hotspot and my Ds wouldn’t connect to it so I’m confused as to what to do? Is it the Android that won’t connect or is it my Ds?
Im a bit confused on what you meant on the wep key part, do you mean just hit random keys until i hopefully find one or look at the writing on my router and see if one of those words. and if none of that works ill need a android phone, will it tell me on the android phone what the wep key is?
No a wep key is used on older routers and you probably can't get your router to work. I have an updated video though that will allow you to do this without a wep key

I have an Andriod phone and I'm gonna try this when I finish playing through my old Pokémon Ranger SoA to see if I can obtain the Manaphy mission. Also, if it's not already done on the second hand Guardian Signs game I recently bought off Ebay, i could also get one off that too, if the event exploit works. :D

For Pokemon Pearl I received (almost sure I got all of the events because I tried long enough to get new ones) 27 Pokemon! @@TyRave Everything worked perfectly fine for HG, W, W2 aswell (you can look up the list of all available Event Pokemon at Bisafans I believe) BW / B2W2 just had some problems in Europe at the beginning because it just didnt work but it got fixed over time! Anyway sorry for the late answer 😂
And for anybody wondering, I was able to trade all of my event pokemon up to newer gens aswell!

But damn this means I need to re-start my platinum game... I accidentally got legit darkrai by pure luck and miracle (I randomly ran mystery gift one day and got the event item) and caught him during the phase where I didn't care for nature/stats

Every time I try to connect to Connect I just lose connection to my DS to my mobile hotspot it connects for like three seconds
if you set up a guest network from your router config and with no password it works too

Well, I've tried it 28 times now. I keep getting error code 52100, cant connect to wifi connection... My phones hotspot gets accepted, but the connection icon turns from green to red when i try to receive gifts from WFC...

@@neekz1031 This absolutely is cheating... You aren't getting this through Nintendo, you're getting this by connecting to someone that set up a server to trick the game into thinking it's getting it from Nintendo.
By all definitions, you're still cheating to get these pokemon. If someone looks at your Pokemon, everyone will know they aren't legit because the dates are like a decade past when the deadline was. The only difference is the game itself doesn't register it's cheated in.
Does the event Arceus still get distributed? I've been doing downloads for a looooong time and still haven't gotten it. I know it's random but it's been a while now

Changing one's MAC address is easier said than done. You'd need to either root your phone, download an app to do it that may or may not actually work, or both, and that's one shady hoop too many for me. Thankfully, WEP backwards-compatible routers are cheap to come across.
You can also set up a guest network with no password.
Darkrei how tho
Works in Gen 4 as of March 13 2021. I had to open up a guest network on my router with all security settings disabled.

Oh and you actually can't transfer Shaymin from Diamond and Pearl. I don't know how the bank distinguishes the difference but bank will only accept them from Platinum. So this event works in each but only Platinum versions of the events like the flower will give you access to something you can transfer
Yeah you cannot transfer them if they were obtained in diamond and pearl because the events were never officially released for those games. You can from platinum because they were released on it.
If Darkrai from DP is leveled up to 50, I believe it can be transferred, so perhaps the same is true for Shaymin.
@@xxxthebxxx I just found out about Darkrai for Diamond. You also have to forget Pursuit for it to transfer. But to my knowledge no one got through Shaymin yet
Make sure shaymin has the event flag so if it does not have it will not transfer the game does not matter
And if it is not work for you and yiu get an error code you need an android, go to Hotspot and tethering, then switch yiur pass to none then on the ds search for connections nearby and then select yiur Hotspot that does not have a pass then go to the save for the connection then change settings then go down to where it says primary dns and secondary dns so firs you have to select no on where it says would you like to receive dns automatically then pug for the primary dns 164.132.044.106 and for the secondary put 8.8.8.8 and then test connection. Make sure the recive ip address automatically is selected as yes
Question: On Pokémon Black/White (The First Ones), are you getting Genesect from the Mystery Gifts? I’ve gotten all the other ones and Idk why it doesn’t show. I also don’t have Black 2/White 2. :(
genesect is a bw2 event only, sadly

so for me when i try and set it up, using an android hotspot, it says these settings are invalid. I did notice that, for me, the WEP key is completely blank instead of having stars, and the ip address, subnet mask, and gateway all seem to want input instead of being blank like they are on your screen. If anyone has any suggestions i'd greatly appreciate it, I'm playing Platinum if that helps.
You need to make your hotspot not have a password to use it. If you don't have a password it'll connect easily
@@ThedomiNATION It doesn't have one at the moment, in order to use the Mac address option I have to limit who can connect, so currently my 2ds is the only device that can connect. I've watched a couple different videos and my screen is displaying different things than all of them so I'll do some more trouble shooting and research. Thank you for you're help though.

You unlock the mystery gift tab in jubilife city. I'd suggest looking up a tutorial video as it's hard to explain in a comment
You can do this via iPhone. If you get a certain error, you have to put it on an iphone network

You may have to search up a tutorial video on that. I have never owned an Android device so I wouldn't know how to help you with that. I think they're may be a setting when you're looking for devices though but I'm not sure

It's because iPhone requires you to have a password for a hotspot and it the in game WiFi settings won't connect if there's a password
