I’d like to see a GOO Warlock that is infected with mycanid spores that they can use to psychically connect with other creatures
I'm playing a Circle of Spores Druid Halfling that wandered off into the underdark and survived through Halfling Luck and the hospitality of the Myconids! She experienced a Myconid Mindmeld and is now obsessed with uniting the world through empathy. I LOVE this character!
A tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound? Nope, it fell on a myconid, and they squish nicely.
But the tree felt really bad about it, and thus it uttered a healing word, thus making a sound after all.
Not gonna lie, I love how that guy punching the werewolf looks a lot like Gaston. Personally I've thought about being a Knoll bard.

Imagine if the pirates’ xorn was like, being an earth element, disturbed by being on the ocean so far from dry land period. Very compelling story. Maybe its powers were getting weaker the farther from shore it was and the pressure on it was increasing and that pushed the player in question to free it.

Ι have played a drow that escaped to be rescued by those adorable little mushroom people and therefore got power from them as a circle of spores druid
These would be super neat player options that could open story directions for some of the premades in cool directions. Xorn in Out of the Abyss that lost their precious vein to the corruption of the Demon Lords or Myconid that sees the corruption and flees to find help. It could be a very compelling story :)
Love the Myconid ideas! Air Genasi spores druid who grew up being raised by the circle that swore to protect them. Now, a slow plague is spreading and rotting the myconids from the inside out. No one knows the cause. The leaders have searched for answers but found none. They suggest they look to the surface world for help, and are adamantly refused. As things get worse they grow desperate and run away to trek above ground and find a way to help their people, even if they won’t support them in this choice.
Appearance wise their skin has become a pale green and the wisps that trail of them look like spores
I had an idea for a Changeling who would join a game part way through. The changeling was part of a party who had WAY under leveled attempted to beat the BBEG and as punishment for losing, had the entire party merged into one character. The DM controls a stress trigger that causes the character to shift randomly between the 5 different party members. At first they're all unaware of each other and just think that their trauma is causing them to black out but the new party they join helps them figure out what's going on and they figure defeating the BBEG will separate them.
If one of them gets knocked out they shift to another playable character, but if any character dies they all die. They all share the Changeling's stats and health which means the Barbarian might not be as strong as they're used to; not as charismatic or wise, etc. Etc.
Great way to use 5 characters at the same if you're like me and make characters like crazy.
I am thinking about the Wood Woad with Path of the Beast Barbarian. The ritual didn't go well but when you rage you transform into the Wood Woad form. Was going to reflovor the "tail" attack as the club.
This reminds me of my Eldritch Wolf concept, where I played as a wolf cursed by an old god trapped in the moon. It's class setup was 14 Shadow Sorcery/ 6 Old God Warlock with the Chain Pact. As the character progressed in level, its form would also change, upgrading into larger versions like the Dire Wolf. Eventually, with all the features in play, you'd have a giant telepathic wolf made of shadow, accompanied by a monstrous wolf pack. It epitomized pack mentality, in spooky ways.
Another good monster to emulate when making your character is the Galeb Duhr. They’re intelligent and can communicate, and they’re permanently bound to the prime material plane, so it totally makes sense that there might be a Galeb Duhr adventurer.
I want to play a tiny animal that has been awakened with the Spell. Picture it a squirrel or monkey that can talk and learns magic. I think this would be great.
Right?? I would love to play an awakened animal.
disguise as woad would be pretty easy you just ask them if they've heard about druids and the spell ironwood
Oh damn! I was just thinking about making a circle of spores druid who was taught by Myconids. A drow whose city fell and was forced to flee into the underdark, stumbles upon a colony of myconids who heal them up and welcome them into the colony. In a vulnerable place, the drow is open to this positive change, but drow stragglers show up and the druid freaks and flees, ending up on the surface where they become an adventurer.
I have a few ideas for character's 1 is a vampire werewolf hybrid who's also a sorcerer the second is a half elf aberrant mind sorcerer who's slowly becoming an eldritch horror

A shifter, son or daughter to that lycantropic person. What kind of reaction will the werewolf have when it finds out that your kids have found you. They might not even know, that the werewolf is their parent. Surpriiise!!! :-)
My dex Halfling barbarian was raised by dire wolves. Becoming a werewolf is my secret desire, but what would a Halfling werewolf look like? 🙂

I have a mindflayer warlock who uses the eldritch evocation mask of many faces to be able to walk normaly amonst the more regular races. His is looking to undo his mindflayerness ever since he was disconected from the elderbrain ever since the great old one set him free

D&D Beyond isn't run by WotC, so they wouldn't have any insight about upcoming UA.
There's nothing I want more than a playable vampire. We can have a vampire party member in baldurs gate 3, I should be able to play one! At least make a dhamphir...
My 2 1/2 year long game was based on mutated myconids that had developed an evil fungal queen and a subsequent hierarchy of handmaidens dryad stats, the drones who were more like warhammer dryads, infiltrators who were pod people that had stolen and replaced someone, the coutiers who were fungal treants, the tanks were shambling mounds that could envelope people to take back and replicate as a pod person.
They were mutated by the rivers of vampiric blood pouring out of a broken magical prison the entirety of the (extremely racist) elven kingdom had created around one of its minor kingdoms of elves. The prison was made because this minor elven kingdoms king had taken a human woman for his queen and had the first half elf. Subsequently this allegedly lead to the humans (elven slaves) rebelled. This same chaos and void filled vampiric blood was used as a weapon taint a peaceful lycanthropic race making a malevolent race of virulent Werewolves.
So pod people werewolves and vampires were the main theme
Hey guys ive got a hundred bucks set aside that im not going to spend unless i get that sweet dragonlance module not a reprint of the old book 5e all the bells n whistle, stats, hardcover in a cool box like the COS box i just purchased.
