    I haven't followed a jump rope workout for awhile. I skip every time I do a workout, which is 3/4 times a week. It all started about 2 years ago when I discovered JRD. I'm still going.

    My first time starting with jumpe roping I started with his 20 minute workout now I got better on it now i start doing the 30 minute workout and I do pride of myself because I can follow him till the end the 30 minute workout. And I’m using the heavy rope 1lb with the heavy handle

    We need more workouts like this where you guys start the actual workout after a short intro. Because I usually use the intro as a warming-up and sometimes the intros are like 3/4 minutes long 😅 just read this comment as a joke since I can easily skip those parts. Thanks for the uploads! You guys made jumping rope interesting (and fun) for me.

    I still still struggle with the boxer skip but I love jumping rope

      They actually went pretty easy for me I learned for the video they posted earlier.
      First I tried to imitate them without rope and tried to find the rythm
      Then I tried with the ropes it did take trials and errors and I'm still working on it. The ancle and calves were very sore after that 😭 Good luck!

    Tough one, I alternated back and forth 1/2lb to 2lb.
    I think the editing might need some touchup on this vid. Jump vs Rest seemed out of synch at the beginning. Then I got out of synch later, seemed like countdown beeps might have been missing.
    Overall love JRD workouts, tutorials and getting me hooked up with Crossropes. 2 years into Doing The Thing.

    One thing I’m always learning from him is his foot work and how he place his arms while jumping. I trying to learn his technique foot work technique as fast as possible I do believe once you master a footwork technique everything will be perfect. The reason why I said this guy footwork is a master technique is because when he does jump rope he does it with his heart he do it very clean he doesn’t I’m trying to say there’s no show off on his workout he means business. Thanks you and I’ll try my best to master your footwork ✌🏿

    Nice, I think the interval set here was 1 min of Jump rope followed by 30 seconds of rest, 8 cycles x 2 sets, please let me know if I am correct? Also please mention it in the video or add it in the description, also show the calorie burned track by the device, pls respond. Thank you..

    Tricks are just a bonus and more for flash than anything. To me dancing with a rope is all about endurance, foot work, timing, speed. All those fancy tricks come in time but I am more impressed with people who can dance for a hr or longer.

    I loved the encouragement: longer intervals with my heavy rope is new to me (I did one of your 1-min. interval videos last week, and also your 10-min. straight video, but both with my light jump rope), so I appreciated you reminding us that we can just keep the footwork simple. I switched between my 1/4 lb and 1 lb ropes: loved the burn. I definitely am seeing my endurance improve! Thank you!

    Still waiting on my mat, I have everything else, picked up my shoes sports bra etc. I am skinny fat so the sports bra was a challenge to find a fit. I bought the brooks running shoe, I was pleasantly surprised to get a good discount as a first time buyer at a local,store. . I think you should offer a discount on your special videos again in the future for those of us who are starting the new year with jumping. I hesitate to get it now until I know how to jump, being 73 years old it is going to take me awhile to get up to speed. At any rate I will be subscribing to your JRD Tv thing in the future, discount or no. I am going to keep track of my progress, that is self motivating for me. I will be following your YT videos until I can actually jump. I bought the get fit set. Pray for me😂😂😂. I will restart my rebounding and I do other things. My shoulder is doing well.

    Well the mat arrived today. So tomorrow is the big day, my granddaughter is going to take the before photos, 😂. They should be interesting, for now I think I am just going to do a private FB group to keep track of my progress and encourage my friends and family. I am not up on how to use instagram, though I do have an acct. I love the new 2023 handles, I took advantage of the 25% off, so nice. Thank you JRDs for the videos, they were instrumental in my decision to jump rope. They are so informative and valuable, I especially appreciate the video with the woman talking about shoes, sports bra etc. that helped me a lot knowing what I needed to do before starting. I know there is another older lady from my town jumping rope and using the crossropes, she is not as old as me. I wonder am I one of the oldest 😂😂 Maybe I will try to get together with her.

      If you're especially using weighted ropes, you shouldn't worry about losing muscle at all.

      1. Try to use weighted ropes.
      2. Incorporate Bodyweight exercises like pushups, pullups, squats, lunges etc.
      3. Eat enough protein (0.8 to 1 gram of protein per poud of bodyweight) and don't be in too much caloric deficit.

      The best way to prevent muscle loss is by building muscle , go to the gym or do bodyweight exercises.

    I put on some good music and followed along to you.
    I only burned 295 calories doing this workout. However, I kept going a bit longer (total time 37 minutes) and burned roughly 337 calories
