  • It's been two years since 10 people were killed in a racially-motivated mass shooting at a Tops Supermarket in Buffalo, and just one month since two officers were killed in the line of duty in Salina, by a suspect police say had antisemitic and hateful content in his home.
A study from last May published by the American Psychological Association shows hate crimes can lead to depression, anxiety and even PTSD in people who take in the information, whether it's rhetoric online or an act of mass harm.

Hate is not and should not be a crime. EVER! We human beings have a basic human right to our feelings. This is fundamental to being human. Emotions are essential part of being human. NO ONE SHOULD TAKE AWAY OUR HUMANITY. NO ONE!

@@kuragedaisuki244 Hate crime laws are a crime against our very humanity. It punishes people for having emotions of hate towards others on top of any physical harm they do them. This sets a legal precedent that can punish people for whom they love. Neither hate nor love should be just cause to punish people for. Only actions should be legally actionable, not feelings. We have a fundamental natural right to our human feelings and that includes hate and the whole rainbow range of human emotions and we should be free from fear of being punished for any of them. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO TAKE AWAY OUR HUMANITY AND THAT INCLUDES THOSE IN POWER IN GOVERNMENT. They did not weave emotions into our human natures and what they did not give us, they have no right to take away from us.
