OMG found this on my sons car that was going for MOT jesus asked the garage to fit a link to allow the MOT to carry on big issue they ordered a wiring loom kit repair the broken wire jesus
My 9n3 is having starter motor problrms here thr click of the solenoid on thr starter motor but no turning over. Also having weird problems with electirc front windows and central locking, intermittently. That lil wre looks and feels intact on my low mileage polo. Barely 30k. And not sure if those are are related or whether i have a different problem..
Hi, try giving your starter a "thump" with a lump of wood, the ring gear can sometimes stick. Central locking...if it doesn't always open all the doors or close all the doors together it could be a comfort control module problem (ccm for short) it controls windows and central locking?? Let me know if you get it sorted. You can download vagcom onto a laptop and buy a obd2 lead for less than a fiver to scan your car for all these kinds of problems.
Phil Starkey what a sterling respnse. Cheers mate ill look into getting vagcom and a cable. Happened a few months ago and heard about giving it a whack, so i did, and it has been good until now, had to whack it last night to get home though. Then in the morningit hadto do the same again. Took a couple attempts once twice in the week to turn over but didnt have to whack it but some symptoms before it really struggled to get the starter motor going.. Then last night it took quite a few attempts but i didnt have anything good to give it a proper whack. Was much easier this morning at home with a good solid pole. Ill have to get a vagcom on it if that will diagnose a lot of these problems. Thanks again phil 🤙

My 2017 polo won’t start. It doesn’t seem to be the battery and the engine sound slow. The revs aren’t going up I’m not sure what’s wrong

You think the starter motor doesnt need changing though?? Im halfay into changing it lol
@@Sam3532 yes change the starter, giving it a whack was a last resort thing, don't over tighten the thick cable though!!
