thanks so much phil without your advice i would never have solved this.i used a very thin screwdriver a powerfull light so i could see what i was doing and then rather than hitting too hard i just gently but firmly pushed and it freed the door catch,

If only all injectors were that easy 🤕🤕🤣 great video mate cheers

My 9n3 is having starter motor problrms here thr click of the solenoid on thr starter motor but no turning over. Also having weird problems with electirc front windows and central locking, intermittently. That lil wre looks and feels intact on my low mileage polo. Barely 30k. And not sure if those are are related or whether i have a different problem..

Hello, the bonnet is meant to pop up when you pull the lever, I can't remember a hidden nut...but I removed the mechanism for clarity to make this video (after struggling for about two hours 😤) once I had put the mechanism back on i just wrapped the broken wire around the lever and left it over the top of the left side horn so I could reach it through the grill.

Does your bonnet pop up when you pull the lever? My bonnet doesn't pop up but I don't know what's wrong? Do the springs go weak? Can I get a replacement spring?
