The netherrite upgrade is a bandaid fix, they could do better. Mending could be harder to get. Totems are simply too easy to get. Elytras are wonderful
mojang should add a cooldown to totem of undying and make it that you can only have one at a time in your inventory you can't use shulker boxes to have more
The main issue is that outright removing features will be damaging in itself, the time and effort wasted in designing and coding them would be a stupid amount, removing really REALLY isnt a good option, even for the horseman of hated features... Mending (or the elytra if you so desire to say)
i could also go about the impact on the rest of the game, modern minecraft tries to always fit everything together, which is nice, but removing features could be detromental to how the rest of the game is build, plus, if you remove any feature, there is going to be atleast one person being stupidly mad, even if you remove the phantom (you can do funny stuff with commands with them, like actually)
The video was greatly edited and I really appreciatie your style. However I strongly disagree with the things you chose to highlight. For 4 out of 5 items you discussed you could simply say to not use it. Totems OP in hardcore? Try a totemless run! Elytra takes away the fun? Try playing 100 days without it! Could make up some fun challenges. Then for the netherite part. I am struggling to understanding what you are suggesting to do different. Because, as you said in the video, the old ways of getting overpowered are available too early. Its quite easy to get a lot of diamonds for your armor. And although getting ancient debris is quite tedious at some points, you can always try and get lucky by finding netherite in the bastions. I think it really is a non-issue once you break it down. Please dont take this comment the wrong way, I liked your video but I just disagree with the items you chose
I disagree with your view, using the argument of ''just dont use it'' is weak and unrealistic, this is simply not how balancing a game works, balancing requires limiting the player in detriment of fun gameplay, humans tend to chose the path of less challenge/ convenience without realising that this will affect the fun aspect of the video game, you simply can't tell players to not use something that was given to them. The reality is that the majority of players will use all of these items because they are not aware that they harm the gameplay in the long term, and the result of that will be more and more players investing less time in Minecraft.
I worked really hard on this video! It would mean a lot if you could subscribe 😁 Thanks!
Tridents. They are way to overpowered and I hate them
I hate the new way to get netherite stuff lol
I wish they would add nooses to minecraft
Omg it's prsn

Play HC abusing the elytra and you will 100% die to fall damage eventually.
never a fun game to begin with
For people who hate the mending book, what's stopping them from not using them if they want to grind so badly?
