Been running for a week. Seems to be operating properly. Does all the functions. It is well worth the expense against the total system involved. China should have included one in original design. Good Job Bureck. Innovation is appreciated.
Just got mine and as I’m more used to Celsius than Fahrenheit, I opted for that. I’ve now gone back to Fahrenheit as 1 degree F gives far more precise control than 1 degree C. Not a problem as I just wrote down comparable temperatures until I’m familiar again. To be honest once it’s set up it doesn’t really matter. So far it’s working well and the room it heats in my house was warm first thing this morning as I’d scheduled the heating for 30 mins before my normal time to feed my dogs. I’ve just ordered a second one without battery for an outside room that could do with a bit of frost protection but which has a power supply close to where the thermostat will go. From me it’s 👍
I have received one. I must admit, the swing side of things confused me at first. Even your explanatory video above wasn't clear on this issue. By the looks of it, you simply set the temp and if reached the heater turns off. Should things cool down to the lower setting (the swing) , it turns back on again. This shouldn't have confused me at all. Improved instructions are called for, I reckon. As far as the accuracy of the thermostat is concerned, maybe it would be a better option to have the sensor at the end of a length of cable. The battery charging wouldn't affect it then either. Just a thought. The device should work well for me though.
Great video! Is there any plan for a future scheduling options that allow multiple days? I want to have it setup so it will keep the room above freezing, and then two days a week, I want it to fully warm up the room before and during occupancy.
Great idea I’m just testing it out now how do you turn off or stop the controller from turning the heater temperature up and down every 20 seconds whale the heater is running? As every time it sends a signal to change the temperature up or down the diesel heater controller beeps makes it impossible to sleep 😴
Hello! It sounds like you have a diesel heater controller with a version of controller that responds by changing settings if you send multiple on codes. We have a workaround for this. Sorry for the late response on here. We are faster about checking our email. I will contact you there shortly with a code patch to fix this for you. bureckllc@gmail.com
Is there a way to hard reset this thermostat?Mine is definitely not working correctly in the schedule mode.If i set a schedule for example to activate 12.00 with a temperature of 65 F,when the time is reached the temperature set point does not change to 65,it just stays at whatever temperature it was set to previously.I have emailed Bureck but have not had a reply.
It will work from a considerable distance, but you need it close enough so that it detects temperature where your heater is located. If you have the thermostat in your house, and the heater in your shed, it will turn on and off based on the temperature in your house, not the temperature in your shed. The device has the thermostat in it, it is the thermostat, so it needs to be near the heat source.
No from what I gather it causes the controller to cycle on and off. Based on what ever heat setting you wanted. Do like a 23 or 4 and degree differences in temperature. It will cause your heater to fully turn on and off. As opposed to just reduce its heat to the lowest setting. It will psychology self the power the fan the fuel pump and completely shut it down until the temperature in the room lowers to a set point 2° to 4° and then it will turn on again.
My thermostat seems to turn itself off in the middle of the night, and have to flip the power switch off then back on. Any help would be appreciated . Other than that great product!
mine will not start cdh when screen shows heating. I can start with OEM remote and the BURREK will shut down cdh when temp is reached and heating is removed. It also will stop it if I long press to deactivate thermostat. My guess is the Burrek does not provide a 3+ second on output as is needed with my OEM remote. Off only needs 1Sec.
I cloned the remote and it always works first try, but when i do the rf self test it fails, this was after i got sent the updated code so not sure what to do 🤷♂️ but at the same time i can crank up the burwick remote settings and it will turn itself off and on Separately I try to have it max setting level 4 instead of auto on the smart diesel heater remote but sometiems i come back and when its on it goes back to auto on the remote 🤷♂️
Compatibility is determined by the remote sold with your heater. We have had many customers use our product with this brand of heater. As long as it uses the simple style remote without an LCD it should work
@@RustyShakleford1 They came back to me shortly after posting here and were very helpful. The USB charging socket came away from the main board as I pulled out the power cable. Hopefully it was just a faulty product and a replacement has been sent out.
Just got mine !!! I’m in the uk took 3 weeks to get here but it’s HERE I’m happy

How close to the remote control or controller do you need for this to work?

does it work with the HCALORY 8KW Diesel Heater?
Dose this override the controller?

I’m starting to think mine has an issue
Can temperature settings be set to Celsius?
Absolutely, you can select Celsius in settings.
Is it good for Maxpeedingrods MXR 1L.....
thank you

Every 20 sec the controller sends a signal to the heater, and that makes the heater shifts between level and auto every 20 sec!
They can send you a new code that you can put onto the burwick thermostat that fixes this!
Not many replies lately. That is concerning.

I did not see how large a swing it allows. Anyone?? 10+
The max swing is capped at 30 degrees. This could be changed with an update though if there was a reason to increase the maximum allowed value
Hello, I've sent you an email about a faulty product but I've had no reply. Can you please contact me with a solution.
And resolution? What went wrong

What size or kind of battery does it use ?
