My girlfriend describe this music as the most furiously unifying music she's ever heard. Like righteous indignation. It sounds angry, but it feels overwhelmingly positive. Come to Washington DC sometime.
My parents agent to see IDLES at rock city and I couldn't go because it was 14's and over. The next day my parents gave me an IDLES t-shirt with Adam West's batman on it, signed by Dev. I they read this, I would like to say thank you
Yeah that's what's so lame about these kinds of things. "Hey this band hates Cancer.." and if they don't want to wave the flag that says you don't hate cancer then that must mean you love cancer. Or something like that.
@SiSi no, I'm not. I followed over from some other Idles articles. To give you some context, there were rashes of comments which are just seeking insta-likes and not really addressing anything. Like my example of "Yaaa we all are here because we're GOOD people and we hate BAD people..Yaaa" It's just shameless like grabbing and band wagon jumping. If you watch what is going on in my city and many other US cities its just exact same thing. "Hey let's tear down this statue..." (regardless that said statue was actually an abolitionists and helped to free slaves) "Uhm ok...will we get applause and pats on the back from the crowd? If yes then I'm in!!" meanwhile trying to make any sense that ME or someone like me standing up for the statue IS NOT in fact any sort of bad person or idea, gets us called "Racist, Bigot, Xenophobe, Killer..." its insane and its the culmination of all of the push to force people to take a 2 cent stance against a very VERY complicated and long issue.
I was suppose to see you guys tomorrow in NYC but I moved to CA. One day though, I went back and listened to Joy as an Act of Resistance today and remembered it came out on my birthday thought that was cool.

I wonder if there is many people who love racism but hate music?
@Mark Wright that's so sad :(
Ever heard a white supremicist band? They’re terrible.
