Such a refreshing change to see - someone who is not bothered about looking good on camera - shows it how it really is with no BS edits! Felt bad for ya m8... what a a day, sad to say I have those far too regular :p

I know what you mean. We often get days like that, especially when the boss asks how long it will take then you hit problems and need another half day to finish, panic sets in as he already books in a new job for tomorrow! Keep up the great work and carry on regardless.👍👍👍.

You have not connected the cpc in the swa but glanded the swa in to a metal db which will be earthed from the earthing in house db ?
Just letting you know as you’ve still got the garage db earthed from the house. Pull the swa out and gland in to a plastic enclosure below unless those garage dbs are plastic of course 👍

I have never been able to say my jaw literally dropped watching something before now… but 3 mins in, when it showed the 2.5 T&E just laying in the ground with a junction box connection just there on the damp leaves, it actually happened for the first time ever.

I find it easier bringing the SWA into a wiska box external of shed wall, and drilling through the back of box into shed and either conduit upto or low level DB 👍

Grip-it fixings are ok but you'd have been easier and had smaller holes with ordinary hollow wall anchors. The ones that open up behind the drywall when you tighten the screw(or use the setting tool).

I’m interested to know why you have used an earth rod and not the earth that is with the SWA cable.

What would you do if you couldn't connect to the main board? could you spur from an outside socket?

Isnt the garage board still connected to the PME via the armouring of the SWA?

    • @GreenHawkConstructionltd
      @GreenHawkConstructionltd  6 месяцев назад +3

No it is separated at the other end via a plastic enclosure

Why did you need to make the shed a TT System??
The house supply is TNCS OR TNS
so why not just connect armoured cable to earth of house System??

Function over form, is the saying you are looking for, the opposite to an artist who looks for form over function.

2 jobs might look the same but they never are…also some sheds are not suited to be wired .. but try telling some customers ….

Can we stop calling it DIY job and instead just say "installed by someone who doesn't give a fuck"

Yep some 'DIY' better than 'pros' in a rush...

Never understood how even a diy,er like myself would do such crap work....if you're not sure how , ask someone...read up on it . . look at other similar jobs.... FIRST
