  • Upgrade to the Wolf Tooth chainring system for you MTB. Full install here, shown on a Shimano XT crank. I used the following tool for the Shimano crank.

Love the CAMO set up. I was able to play with an oval ring cheaply

TOTALLY! That’s a great point. I didn’t even think about swapping to an Oval!

This feels like one of those "It's evolving, just backwards" things lmao.
But it does fix an issue

You are kinda right. It’s almost like a re-invented BCD 104, but better executed.

hi my trek marlin 5 gen 3 has specs: Prowheel C10Y-NW, 30T steel narrow-wide ring, 170 mm length and Shimano LG500 . Does this chainring will be compatible?

Very unlikely it would fit. That crank uses a traditional BCD 104 bolt pattern so any BCD 104 chainring should work. The RaceFace narrow/wide would be a solid choice. 30T will be the smallest ring for BCD 104 and you will re-use your existing bolts. Hope that helps!

Don’t you need to add 2 links going from 28 to 30T?

Maybe, but really depends how tight the chain was to begin with. Also will depend on that particular bike’s suspension. In my case, no need to.
