Hey Tony, Thanks for taking the time to answer my IWC/Rolex question. Really enjoy your take on the industry itself and all of the specific models that you discuss. Hoping you have a great Memorial Day weekend.
Not apples:apples, but it didn’t take long before I started missing the IWC BP43 I sold to make room for another DJ41. So, if you can get both the Mark 20 and the OP, I would. They’re different enough to occupy unique places in your collection.
Hey TG great show as usual… That Railmaster is a 40mm, atleast the one you show on the video is a 40mm…. I like the Railmaster as a daily but yes the Speedy would be as you said the icon…. I’m gonna say it again, that Zenith you wear is the perfect QUALITY daily driver..! You can wear it with jeans and a T and it looks great..! On the other hand wearing a GMT with a jubilee bracelet almost looks too dressy for a jeans and a T-shirt…! If I had that Zenith, that would be my daily driver… Oh and agree 100% it’s the journey with watches and I have some cheap ones I still love, I wear them for me…. Always love this friday show Tony, 5 STARS ✨ Greg
Hey man. Thanks for letting me know on the Railmaster. I don’t know enough about that watch and I took the pic from the Omega website. Thank you for always contributing to the comments and for watching. Have a great weekend. 🤙🤙😊😊
The Tissot Couturier is a phenomenal watch with an awesome Submariner-esque case shape and a perfect size 39mm! They make it with the cheaper lazer regulated calibre wifh polymer parts or the higher end calibre with the gold rotor that can be regulated/adjusted by any competent Watch maker. Both calibers are excellent ime. It depends on how much you wanna spend and the fact that you can’t have your local watch maker service the calibre with polymer parts(I believe Tissot just replaces it for service…not 100% on that). 100m water resistance on all of the couturier models. Tissot is the best for entry level Swiss.
Hi Tony, an awesome video once again. Just a correction though, the Hulk is a ceramic bezel. Just a question for the Q&A: What's the smallest and largest watch size you'd rock?
The Hulk is a 6 digit Rolex. i.e. ceramic bezel not aluminium. I far prefer the Hulk to the Starbucks. The Starbucks is just a Hulk without what makes the Hulk special i.e. the Green dial.
Thanks for taking the question Tony, it’s helpful insights, not to mention great humor; I loved the part of the GMT on a pedestal, in a glass box levitating…😂
Another great video. I’m sure you spoke about this, but what are your opinions about skeleton dials. Zenith has a 41mm Defy skeleton dial which to me looks really easy to read. I know you support Zenith cause you love them, so want your honest opinion about this watch. Right now they run about $5-6k.
The photo of the round Cartier that you put up was the 40 mm version, but you recommended the 36 mm version. The only 36 mm Ronde by Cartier in gold is quartz and has diamonds.
You are partially correct. The 36 in steel is quartz but you can get without diamonds. I had one. Also when I did the video I decided to add the gold in 40mm so, I just didn’t clarify between the two.
Hi Tony! I love your new TShirt with Uku and Paco and their guitars and Rolexes from your neighbors! My question is regarding the Submariner Date vs No date. Which is more difficult to get from AD? Which do you prefer based on looks and functionality and why? Thank you Tony!
Hi Tony! Some good questions tonight👍. I was at Rolex/Patek AD this week almost pulled trigger on Patek 6119R but after consideration spending $35k for another dress watch when have a Rolex M126231-0023 already felt money could be better spent. They did have a bunch of Rolex GMTs. Rootbeer, left hand Sprite, Batgirl and Pepsi. All exhibition only. Darn annoying and frustrating as usual this Rolex AD is. Question for your Tony. Arnold & Son make some very nice watches have a rich history in horology however not popular? Like to hear your thoughts in Q&A.😊
Just my $.02, but there’s no risk of overlap. DJ isn’t in the same league as Calatrava. About a year ago, I went for a JLC MC chronograph calendar in RG over a 6119R. Regretted the decision within a month and now barely wear it. Will assuredly take a huge hit when I sell it towards the 6119R I should have bought all along. My advice is - if you want a 6119R, get a 6119R.
The t-shirt: your LA Coroner tee 😁. Thanks for answering my questions! It's so cool to hear about your flamenco / classical guitar playing, as well as the guitarists that influenced you. That's a beautiful Patek, so classy just like Paco De Lucia. I also liked hearing your answer to the watch insurance question. Question: If there are no red flags, and there's supporting evidence that something happened to the watch, the insurance company won't drop you? I am careful with my watches, and I hope I never have to make a claim, but I also wouldn't want an insurance company to drop me after 1 claim.
The photo of the Railmaster that you put up was the wrong version. The question was about the 38 mm version that was a limited edition, which is a beautiful piece.
When is it acceptable to ask your Rolex AD for another watch. I just picked up a candy pink OP36 for my wife, but I still want an Air King for Myself. Should I wait before asking
Tony. Im in a little predicament. Im researching for my first watch and have so many I would enjoy. I am more of a sports watch person. I really love the nee Rolex Gmt “bruce wayne”, but love the Zenith Chronomaster Sport. Also thinking of starting my journey with a Rolex Explorer. Any insight on a good place To start?
Hey Tony, love the channel man! Not sure if you already mentioned this before, but what are your thoughts on Tudor? Have you or would you ever own one? Also, I noticed the brews are not as frequent as before, any reason? Cheers
Great video… you really are a great dude and an amazing musician! Love all the wear the Zenith gets… I think if you every time I pass the big Zenith sign on Michigan Avenue…
Audience questions on point! Two of my next questions covered, okay, okay, I won't buy a Less Paul as my beginner guitar 🤗 I mean, what better "over the couch" art is there. Please excuse my poser dreams.... question: I find your job fascinating. I know it's hard work for you, and I hear your relief when it's finally- Friday!!!.... would you ever be so inclined to go into a "day in the life" of a (I don't want to misspeak your title) Fraud Protection Captain of the Universe? I know you can't divulge alll your trade secrets, but I must admit I am intrigued when you go down that rabbit hole a bit, as you did with the viewer who was inquiring about watch insurance after being dropped by their carrier. So day in the life, or maybe a good story from the front lines. Or just tell me how long the wait is for a Batgirl 😂-- peace from your girl in Brooklyn (jk re Batgirl)
I have the same problem with the pillows in my watch roll which was given to me by a dealer as a gift. It’s time for me to buy a new one….what brand do you have? When traveling I use a calm shell case.
Do you think that rolex will bring the milgauss back? I think they will but at a higher magnetism resistance. 20,000 gauss. And it will probably look like the older milgauss. Could be a sick watch
Just my 2 cents: Many watches can withstand 15k gauss due to balance springs and parts made from nonferrous materials (non-iron containing). Balance springs made from silicon are particularly effective. Omega's AT line has even shown to withstand greater than their claimed 15k gauss. I don't think a watch withstanding 20k gauss would be a huge leap, so I think its doubtful Rolex would release the Milgauss with the marketing that it can withstand 20k gauss.

Growing up in the 80s i always saw adults wearing sex watches or for reference "Ulysse Nardin Erotica". Is that still a thing with collectors?
I’ve never seen one in the wild. But, people had them.
‘Always saw adults wearing sex watches’? Where tf did you grow up, some cult compound?
All my watches would be precious metal variants if I had the cash.
