When it comes to the Glamlite X Halloween II, the owner stated in her IG stories that the reason for the early reveal is because they want the consumers to create the collection throughout the next couple of weeks. Basically, they will have the consumers pick and choose colors for the palettes, lip duos, bag designs, etc.

I heard they bought like 40 IP licenses. I agree, I wish they would just get a little more serious, come up with more original collections, and invest more money in to developing a wider range of products instead of dumping money in to all these IP licenses.

I think what Glamlite needs is a core line full of all the staple complexion products that feature their own original branding and esthetic, and not be tossing their newer products in to their IP collabs. I’d just like to see Glamlite get more serious overall as a brand.

Re: the coffee flavor thing - for me, sometimes coffee flavored things don't taste much like coffee, but they taste like coffee liquers. Like whatever food grade coffee flavors are used by alcohol companies are also used by the cosmetics companies. I LOOOOVE coffee, and I'll always be intrigued by something coffee flavored, but I'll also always be braced for disappointment. 😄It will probably taste more like Kahlua than a black coffee.
Profusion is budget but the shadows I’ve tried are phenomenal! Fingers crossed this TMNT palette has the same quality.
I thought the Mean Girls collab was mid but all the other palettes I've tried from Profusion have actually been really good! The boba palettes in particular had these super creamy, textured, and sparkly shades that I NOT expect to find in budget palettes.
My mom had the exact opposite reaction to the NES; when Santa brought it to our house one year, she got so preoccupied trying to help us get past the first part of the first level that she almost burnt the entirety of Christmas dinner. (RIP to the crescent rolls that turned so black and hard they could have been used as hockey pucks.) And not to go all Dr. Phil in your comment section, but yesterday was the 20th anniversary of my first blood clot. We didn’t know 25 more were on their way, and we certainly didn’t know how emotionally and physically affected I’d be, but your content (especially your vlogs) has kept me smiling and comforted when I needed it most. So thanks for being you, Angi. We’re all better for it. 🧡
Angelica, you are speaking to my soul when you were going off about the coffee scents. I do not drink coffee, I will maybe have a latte or macchiato, something sweet like that. BUT, there is no better smell for me, then fresh coffee beans. Im obsessed. And everyone in my life knows Im obsessed and people try to buy me coffee scented products and NOTHING SMELLS LIKE COFFEE!!!! I have not once in my life smelled a body product or a candle that smells exactly like fresh coffee beans! and if ANYONE knows of any candle that smells like that, PLEASE let me know. Ive been on a life long hunt for this. thank you
Colourpop or someone else need to do a scrub and lip mask set in pots shaped like takeaway coffee cups or travel mugs. How about little tea cup shaped pots with bergamot and chai scented products? Coffee and tea and spices like cinnamon would meld with my fragrances better.

I’d rather a coffee scented lip product than the perfumey rose scent that a lot of luxury brands use.
I got my first YSL lip stain and it had to go in the bin, the smell made me feel so sick.
I hate rose or lavender scented anything.

Hey Angie - please know that you don’t need to remove tubing mascara that way at all. I love a good tubing mascara, but I refuse to pull or tug on my lashes, so I just remove it with regular makeup remover in the normal way. Works perfectly. 😊

Glamlite seems to think horror movie collabs are it's niche. To me, there's only so many black, grey, red shadows that can be done. I'm not a fan of horror movies either, so it doesn't appeal to me. I want more nostalgia, though. CareBears or Rainbow Bright would be so much fun.

I went to school near a coffee roasting place so I kinda know that in order to add the "coffee smell" to the coffee itself, the maker has to roast it with soy and corn, etc. at least for the robusta in Vietnam. It could be different for all kinds of coffee, but my mom told me that pure coffee that hasn't been roasted yet kinda taste really bland.
Green coffee tastes very herbal ! I like it (prepared like tea) but it’s not for everyone and it absolutely doesn’t taste like coffee as we think of it.
You don’t have to add anything to coffee while roasting it for it to smell good/like coffee. But there are many ways to do it :)
Also, corn and soy are often added as filler in Vietnam, as well as barley, wheat, corn syrup, butter, unknown chemicals…to the point that Vietnamese people often don’t like pure coffee because it tastes so much different from what they know as coffee (with the added sugar/fat/starch, and sometimes flavouring as well). It’s mostly coffee sold by street vendors, but there are coffee shops/stores that sell blended coffee (sometimes there isn’t any coffee at all !).
I don’t know about other south Asian countries though, I’d guess that it’s similar, but not as bad? Vietnam has a special relationship with coffee I think.

I feel like every product that is released is excluding part of the market who wouldn’t buy something for some reason or other, and enough people love coffee, so I don’t feel like brands don’t make coffee scented makeup because people wouldn’t buy it. I just think vanilla and fruity scents are just more popular because they are everywhere

I jumped on Lisa Eldridge brand when she launched the original lip products. She launched just a handful then too, and then expanded the range. I have a few of the glosses, the mattes and the semi sheer lipsticks. Too much to finish so I will need to wait. I am down to smudging the embossing. First thing I think of when I think of a coffee lip product is coffee breath.

My favorite scent for lip products is definitely mint! Something else really subtle typically won't bother me, but those strongly sweet smelling ones turn my stomach, and anything flavored is so gross. I don't want to taste my lip gloss, even if it's coffee. lol 😸

I'm with you about Unearthly. I purchased a pre-ordered last December and got it in May. I will not purchase anything from them again on preorder. By the time I got it the interest was gone.

I love the smell and taste of coffee. I bought the Juvia's Place Coffee Shop Lip Gloss just for the coffee ☕experience.
I think most people really like the smell of coffee, it’s usually the bitters of coffee that most people don’t like. I do think it can be hard to nail down the scent of coffee. Coffee has 800+ aromatic compounds that make it have that intoxicating aroma. I have often been confused why no one has done a good coffee collection. Coffee grows in the tropics and there are so many elements that could be incorporated into a unique color story.

I don’t like coffee, so I wouldn’t buy something that tastes/smells like it especially on my lips. But I feel like I’m in the minority here lol, I feel like more people like and drink coffee than those who don’t (at least where I’m from) so I think a lot of people would love a coffee scented lip product. Haha and I feel the same about rose scented products, I just cannot stand them, but lots of people love them. I would love some more minty lip products but I get that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Profusion has big palettes, some fall out but typically pigmented. They are a budget-friensly brand with a big range. The main thing I don't care for with them is so many palettes have that clear plastic, cheap cover. Some of their themes have different sizes, shapes and quality, which makes them harder to stores. Inconsistent. They are similar to Makeup Revolution, IMO

My cousins and I grew up playing pretend as the ninja turtles. They (2 boys) always made me pretend to be April because I was a girl. I always wanted to be Leonardo. Anyway, I'm completely here for the nostalgia. PS - Watching this video at the start of my work day is part of my end of week routine. I loved the coffee collection that Marc Jacobs did! I know most people thought it was bad but I don’t know why. That was the last products the brand released before they shut down and now everybody is missing them so much.

As a little sister with an older brother I inherited all his toys and I LOVED TMNT!!! I watched the Nickoledeon 2012 series and I was like in my late 20s XD Love those 'boyish' series, like the one with the Gargoyles, the Biker alien mouses (sorry I do not know their names in English)... these are the collabs I love, plus of course The Crow and Halloween movies themed collabs XD

I was interested in the new Britney fragrance until you said Lily of the Valley. I'll smell it but I'll probably end up saving up for the new Kayali fragrance. It's sweet, definitely, but it's much more layered & intriguing to me than the basic perfumes of the early 2000s.
Waaay back in middle school, I remember Bonne Bell made so many different coffee scented lip products. I was obsessed with those products and most likely cuz adolescents don't get to actually drink coffee. 😅😂 I miss coffee scented lip products!! ☕️
Also, I'm with ya on horror movies.. I hate being scared and it makes me angry to be scared, too-- not an emotion I like. At all!! ....seems like everyone loves to be scared and I just want to laugh. All the comedy for me, please!! 👋
I’ve never tried the summer fridays lippie but I would SO get the coffee one! But I think it’s true bc I avoid lippies with floral or candy scents.

Yeah, coffee is an acquired taste. So they're afraid of losing money on it. Which is dumb, because there are plenty of people who love it.

Can you put a bug in Unearthly's ear to make lip oils? Also can they not do this release as a mystery box? Finally, can they do a little bit of a better job with lipstick swatches? I have two and one was far to warm for me and the other was a bit deeper than the photo.
I love unearthly and cherish all my palettes and love the lipsticks, but a "scoochie" in the direction of some better images would be gratefully appreciated.
I love coffee flavor. I also suggest Dr Pawpaw lip balm, though it's not dissimilar to petroleum jelly, but the colors are great.

The kush brow tubing gel is borrowed from j and k -Beauty. I have one that does that is by Isehan, heavy rotation, and it's really dubing the hairs.
Coffee can give you bad breath. So maybe that’s why it’s not a common lip balm flavor.
I’m thinking the the unearthly palette might be something related to Dungeons & Dragons. Idk, it’s was the first thing I thought of when I saw the name of the shadow 🤷♀️
Very interested in that tubing brow gel from Milk. I already use a brown tubing mascara on my brows. Gives great definition, but requires wiping the wand off like crazy. If this product is any good, it would save me a step!
I’m the person who wouldn’t buy anything coffee flavoured! I love coffee so much, but the smell of it makes me nauseated for some reason, especially freshly ground beans. It’s a very interesting contradicion but unfortunately it is what it is.
I'd never want something that smells or tastes like coffee cuz I can't stand it. I can't even handle mocha cuz I find the coffee taste overpowers it. But I think coconut is another divisive scent/flavour...if you don't like it, you hate it (I Love it, personally) and that one is everywhere
