Visiting the Patuxai Victory Monument in Vientiane 🇱🇦

You've heard of Arc de Triomphe in Paris, but did you know there is a version of it in Vientiane, Laos? Built to celebrate the independence from the French (with concrete donated by the Americans to build an airport), this monument mixes French and Laotian architecture in a pretty cool mix.
It is also the only thing worth seeing in Vientiane (although the city is really not too bad), so of course we checked it out!
