An old citadel, a french colonial flag tower, and a bunker from the Vietnam War? Sign me up! In this video we visit the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, and this place is packed with history!
We explore the beautiful area, learn a thing or two, but in general we just enjoy our first expirence of Vietnam! Oh, and did I mention this place has a bunker where the leaders of North Vietnam were sitting during the bombings of Hanoi during the Vietnam War? Pretty cool if you ask me!

The French invaded Hanoi and destroyed the old citadel and built military barracks on top of the citadel, so now they;'re very conflicted about destroying these French building to reconstruct the old royal citadel or keep everything as is, since these French barrack buildings are well over 100yr themselves
